Fuck man I just had this one on Saturday night. I don't know what to make of this.

So on Seddit (Seduction Reddit), there's been a restart text going around that sounds something like "You seem hard to pin down, I'm just going to let this be, maybe I'll see you out sometime". This is used on girls who are flaking for what seems like good reasons but who seem to be genuinely into you (i.e. fast text returns, writing a lot, smilies, etc).

So this girl from 2 weeks ago is the perfect test case for this. I met her for 15 minutes when we were drunk, she was babysitting a friend, and she writes novels to me over text when I write almost nothing. She seems interested in meeting up but some bullshit always happens and she can't, but it's these long drawn out explanations.

So here's the exchange from Saturday:




Me: Youre a hard one to pin down XX, I think I'll leave this one be. Maybe I'll see you out sometime.

Her: The house next to mine collapsed on top of my house. My room broke in two. We had half an hour to get the valuables out and now we're in a hotel until we find a new place. Half my stuff stayed in there, I could not get them out. It's like a scary movie.

Her: So that's why I'm not talking right now. We'll talk soon.

Me: Holy shit I definitely didnt expect to hear that, thats terrible. Let me know if you need anything and I hope it all works out.

Her: It sounds like a joke right? I'm in shock and I can't stop crying. I'll talk to you soon.




So what the fuck? That's crazy. It seems way too elaborate to be bullshit, wouldn't she just ignore me? I barely met this girl and so I'm not hung up on her, but she's fucking sexy and I want to get her out if I can. My inclination is to give it a few days and just be like "hey how are things working out?" mid-week, maybe tomorrow night.

I call BS. I don't see how a SFH can collapse on top of another neighboring house. Or is she saying an apartment building somehow toppled over onto her home? Shit like this just does not happen unless there is some crazy external force like a hurricane. Was there a hurricane recently where you live? Why the time limit? Was this on the news? It seems like it is very newsworthy for local news or in a newspaper.

My advice to that would be to not underestimate how much people will lie for the attention. Her story could be genuine, but I very much assume it's highly exaggerated. Then again if she wasn't interested in meeting up at all, she simply wouldn't come up with excuses and would straight up ignore you.

I have plenty of other girls blowing up my phone that are more than content to get drinks with me, one even offered to take ME out to dinner. This chick flaked on me before, and is now trying to milk a free meal out of me. Its pretty clear. Why else would she respond with "dinner" again? I was suited up when i met her, she lives in kendall, she's trying to pull the provider shit on me. And the delayed radio silence response doesn't work on her i've not responded to her shit for days at a time before, even when she asked me to hang out last minute last week. I was pretty content this was a lost cause at this point, so fuck her, number deleted. Probably hear from her in a week or two, or even better, see her out when I'm out with another chick.

I can definitely see the lobster line working, in fact, i like it alot, just not on these miami whores.

Well, it's one of those shitty DC rowhouses, so it is feasible that one of them would collapse on another one. There was a big storm this past weekend that caused a lot of damage.
