I remember seeing an interview with one of the Rolling Stones (Keith Richards?) a few years ago and the interviewer asked why he was still kicking when he had partied so hard all his life and he answered, "I stayed off alcohol." However, drugs do much more of a number on women's bodies than men's. Plus, it appears that Fisher hit the bottle fairly hard also.

I wonder what age she was when she looked in the mirror and realized, "Oh boy, so there are consequences for my decisions."?

^ That's a good flick for any who haven't seen it. The alpha fucks/beta bucks dynamic is definitely at play in that movie as well as other red pill truths. Oh, and according to Fisher, it was Warren Beatty's idea for her not to wear a bra in any of her scenes.
