Dealing with girl's boyfriend
I'll keep it short and sweet. Basically I recently found out that a girl i was hooking up with has a boyfriend, however I continued the behaviour for a short time afterward. She now informs me that he knows about the situation and that he potentially wants to hurt me or whatever. Any advice(preferably non-violent) way to deal with situation if it already blows up. Obviously I've started off by breaking off all contact with this girl which I thought is the best starting point.

Regards

"I continued the behaviour for a short time afterward."

This is a really, really weird way to describe hooking up with a chick. It sounds like it comes from a police report or legal complaint.

Anyway if you stopped dating this chick there's not much else you can do. Do you have any reason to think you're in actual danger? Like has he come around your house with a bat? Does he have a history of violence? I mean there's the usual stuff you can do to protect yourself if you're actual danger, like get a weapon, make sure the deadbolt is locked, etc. But is there any real need to do that?

Yeah reading back over that it's a very formal way of of describing hooking up. I don't think that I'm in any real danger and there haven't been any direct threats of violence etc. I was just looking for maybe some kind of verbal response to diffuse the situation if we ever happened to cross paths.

Sounds like you're cool then.

I've never been in that situation, but it sounds like you're not in any real danger. The world's a big place, odds you're gonna run into him by chance are pretty low, right? Any response I could give you would have to be pretty situational, and I don't know enough about you or the dude to really give you any good advice. If you do run into him, just don't be a stupid jackass and escalate things ("How'd you like the taste of my cum when you ate her out, faggot!? Does that make you gay?") and you'll be fine.

How much do you care about with this girl? The answer should be obvious from there.

Unless you're getting legit threats, you're probably over-thinking the whole thing. Move on but record everything that comes your way.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately we live in a pretty small town so the chances of bumping into each other are quite high in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, you're probably right that I'm overthinking things significantly. Blocking this chick is probably the only thing I need to do. However, she's utterly obsessed with me which poses yet another problem. I hate myself for continuing to involve myself with this girl even when all the writing was on the fucking wall. Good life lesson I guess...

Ghost the chick and don't worry about the dude, it's mostly hot air and talk in this situation.
