I have yet to read through the entire thread but my first reaction to this increasingly common narrative is:

"Millennials are having less sex than previous generations."

Does NOT imply:

"Millennials are less promiscuous than previous generations."

Most decent people will feel reassured reading their children's generation is not as slutty as they think. But from personal experience things have been pretty out of control on the measures that most people care about: number of sexual partners, safe sex, committed relationships.

I have a lot more sex now that I'm in a committed relationship with a great girl than when I was sleeping around, even compared to when I was seeing four girls regularly. So is today's youth less promiscuous? Or do they have less sex because they have more one-night-stands, rebounds, pump-and-dumps and other relationships that decrease emotional well-being and increase the risk of disease?

Like I said, I haven't read it yet. But I do know that it has become very normal for many people, men and women alike, to sleep around in an unsafe way with stranger after stranger where the frequency of intercourse per week is not very high.

The less sex is a natural reaction to a heavily promiscuous society. We're people, not rabbits. People need strong, consistent relationships. When they're just shuffled about randomly, they shut down.

This, combined with porn and the constant attacks on normal sex roles, means less people have sex.

If you want red pill go to your local sexual health clinic on a Monday or after holiday events (a week or so). If you knew a nurse or Doctor who worked in these clinics they'd tell you all sorts.

High risk groups, what age group gets infected the most through raw dog, multiple partners, demographs. Its a gold mine.

I predict the UK will see a huge rise in STD/STI rates because the NHS is going to be paying for a new drug that inhibits HIV transmission rates. I am too old to speak competently on the issue but it seems like nowadays if you want to have sex you have to be very conscious about it like "Today I am going to get laid!" and hit on women and get online etc. There is no passive pussy anymore.

Contrast that to 20 years ago even. Without the internet you had to interact with people to socialize. Everything is too easy, you don't have to work at anything. Promiscuity is the standard rather than taboo, so getting laid is just a matter of adjusting your standards - not something women are particularly willing to do, so both sexes suffer.

When something is too easy, it implies that it lacks worth. What's the point of making an effort to get laid when making no effort can get you laid by lowering your standards, or just whack it to porn for a guy, or just go dry and seize up for a woman?

Hence sex for Millennial becomes "meh", and there are other ways of getting your dopamine fix. Look at pre-millennial films such as Porky's, American Pie, Weird Science, etc. Sex is a prize, something the guys do anything for, an obsession they risk things for. Are films like this being made now? Serious question, I don't know. Now you see stuff like Friends with Benefits, where the attitude to sex is more devalued.

Millennial don't value sex because it's become just another thing to do. "Meh".

I noticed people keep discussing the Asian woman in this story. I've also noticed more and more Indian and Muslim women in the ranks of Millennials.

It's my opinion that the reason Millennials have less sex is that women from these more traditional cultures are less likely to want to engage in it because of family/religious/cultural pressure.

Back in the Gen X days, there were simply not a lot of Asian or Indian women around. And we didn't usually think about dating them. Because if you did, the price tag was that you sort of had to date the whole family or put up with their super-human study schedule.

These women were of a different breed than the white girls I knew, who liked to listen to rock music, have a few drinks, and screw. They were often extremely uptight about sex.

I spoke earlier in the thread about my folks letting me run wild and how that helped me to grow up. Well, the Asian and Indian kids I knew definitely were not running wild. Their parents made the most overprotective white parents look devil-may-care by comparison.

Now here is the kicker: The girls tended to be uptight about sex even if they dressed very sexy. The sexy clothes, I found, were for the sake of stylishness, not to get men excited. They often didn't connect the two. (I'm talking Asian girls here; Indian girls and Muslims tended not to dress sexy at all.)

If you take people from a traditional culture and keep placing more and more of them in the host culture, they start to influence the host culture. That's what we might be seeing here.

Catholics had a similar influence on the general public back in the early 20th century when scads of Italians and Irish immigrated. They got Hollywood to pass the sex-phobic Motion Picture Production Code when they were barely ten percent of the population.

I have often laughed at the idea of Sharia Law being pushed on Asian women. The revolt would be staggering.

And yeah for the most part, Asian wearing skimpy clothing revealing hot lingerie does not equal a slut. They tend to hold out longer, yet still maintain an attitude of less sexual hang ups. I have never been denied sex from an Asian due to the same hangups that might stop a Western minded woman.

Also, Asian women are ruthless with friendzoning their male peers. I have had girls invite me over, only to chase out some poor guy who was obviously in love with her. His downcast eyes, and his defeated body language was painful to witness.

I can confirm that Indian women are freaks. Especially women that have been raised in western countries. I'm also of a East Indian background and these women are fucking like jack rabbits. They are very discrete about there sexuality and portray a image of conservatism. This look is deceiving, of course you will find more conservative Indian women. These women usually tend to be really nerd, have serious self confidence issues, or are foreign Indian women. A full blown western Indian women is down to get nasty. There are good Indian girls and these women usually have boyfriends and are in long term monogamous relationships. The RVFers who have been around I'm sure can tell from looking at a woman whether she gets fucked good and regularly. Look at the Millennial girls around you - do you see an abundance of happy and relaxed looking women? Or a lot of grumpy, scowling ones, who don't look like they are satisfied? They can be more promiscuous (meaning have a high notch count) but they don't have sex that frequently.

The same thing can be said of many players as well except maybe the very best. I'm the same as sixsix, in a committed relationship with a great girl and we have sex 1-2 times a day, every day. I bet I have more sex in a week than most players, even though players would have a higher notch count, obviously.

With the decrease in LTR among Millennials, it makes a lot of sense that they don't have as much sex as previous generations, but at the same time, they can be way more promiscuous. However, as we know, a significant minority of these Millennials are not getting anything at all, and this includes the women as well. Guys on the manosphere sometimes overvalue the attention they get on dating sites. Not all of them are on dating sites, and not all can go through with picking a random guy to fuck from the long list of offers.

Self reported surveys concerning sexual activity and opinions are some of the least worthwhile forms of "data" possible. And that is when they are 100% anonymous. If there is even a (perceived) 1% chance that someone might discern your identity (a TA sees your answers over your shoulder etc), women will lie 100% of the time. Men will lie about partner count and prevalence of contraceptive use etc, but women will literally make up a 'character' in their heads out of whole cloth and give "her" answers to all the questions. Most serious social scientists don't even bother with self reported data regarding sex, relationships and women respondents; the answers are as useless as they are false. They don't bother with men due to a combination of dishonesty and the fact that no one (who funds this shit) gives a rats ass about men and relationships unless it concerns increasing the marriage rate or finding unpaid child support.

There is some promising scholarship on two interesting topics concerning increasing the amount of useful data. The first is the theory that the lies are predictable; that when faced with these surveys on sex and relationships (and politics and drug use) people with the same Truths(partner count, STD history etc) tell very similar lies. This is similar to the rule of 3 referenced in this thread; whatever a women tells you her partner count is, triple it. Also there is the concept of Adjacent Questions, if two behaviors have a very high correlation (>.75 or so), and one is very likely to be lied about, just ask the innocent seeming Adjacent Question.

Lastly, there is a type of experiment that has been around for some time called the List Experiment which has demonstrated an ability to "trick" the truth out of a large aggregate of respondents. Its currently gaining increased popularity among researchers and has demonstrated effectiveness sufficiently to be called by some Statistical Truth Serum.
