I get up early on Monday and use a 22mm clip, and spending 10-15 minutes cutting my hair in a basic, easy style. It looks really good. I keep it short and simple.

It automates the process. I don't even think about it, it just happens and I don't have to worry about - worry about when I'll need to get a haircut, when I should go, etc.

Unless you want a specific style of haircut that a professional should be doing for you, I don't see why going to a hair salon/hair shop is, on the whole, more beneficial than cutting your own hair once a week. You save money, time, and worry. Cutting your own hair is not hard if you just use the basic 22mm clip, and run the clipper over your head in various places for 5-10 minutes. Afterward, sweep up the floor and step into the shower. I take a cold shower after I cut my hair and I feel great when it's all done.

$12 every two weeks from Mexican senoritas. I've cut my own hair, spent $85 on haircuts, and I think this is the best option. If you tell them exactly what to do they can do it. No point in spending too much.

If we build a wall, I hope we let them in.

It takes me around 30 minutes in total, I only go against the grain with the razor so there is a little stubble to fade up with, it takes about 2 minutes. I go every 4-6 weeks, 22 plus 8 tip, he does the cuts that are in, and he does them well. It took me a year going around the city to find this guy. Once you find who you like make friends with him and tip him well. There can be a line up out the door and he still takes his time and gives me exactly what I want every time.

Once a calendar month, any less looks sloppy. Costs about $5 in my location and that's a proper salon with the full treatment, not a porch barber.

It was $8 for the longest while but the evil capitalist just raised his price to $9.
I usually give him $12 with tip, come back every 5-7 weeks depending on my schedule and
he does a pretty good job. Actually he does a much better job than the $35 haircut I got when I first moved

I sport a Jason Statham-like buzz-cut. I cut my hair twice per week at my local hairdresser, for roughly 5-6$ + tip. I'm too lazy to do it myself, and I actually enjoy the scalp massage and chit-chatting with the owner and her girls in the salon.

It usually depends how much time I have free.

If I have a few hour's I will travel into London and get my haircut at Taylor Taylor (£50 / Head massage etc) or Toni & Guy (£45 with all the extras)

If I am strapped for time I will head to the barbers which are a 30 second walk away (£8 but I usually end up regretting it as they always give me an awful cut if I take my eyes off what the barber is doing and don't constantly instruct him)

On average I will get it cut every 2-3 weeks.

I usually keep my hair medium length on top and a number 3 guard on sides and back, and I let it go usually 3 months between cuts. Sometimes I have my dad touch it up for free so I can go longer without going to someone. When I do get it cut by a pro, it's either from the local barber for $19 bucks or a Supercuts for like $14. I don't like spending money on haircuts too often considering I've learned to style it well at all lengths. Right now I'm growing it to five or six inches on top and will get it really short on the sides. I'm feeling a little adventurous.

Now $25 after the tip, about once a month.

I had a guy with his own place, 35+ years in the business, until he packed up and moved to Florida a few months ago. $14 for the cut, $20 included the tip. I've got a mad cowlick, and he worked with what he could to keep me happy.
He always did a solid job on my hair I thought, until I had to find a new place.

A friend of mine's ex wife has a salon... got butchered by one of the (younger) girls, not even close to what I wanted. The next morning I couldn't get my hair to do what I wanted, so I buzzed the top myself with the largest guard, until it grew long enough again. But the first couple of weeks I looked like a q-tip.

Another friend trades services with a barber shop, he sent me there... the young man that did my cut went too short on the sides and took too much off the top, I looked like a drug kingpin's oafish bodyguard. I ended up using way too much product in my hair the first few weeks to get it to look half decent.

Found another true barber shop the other day. Walked in to be greeted by an older woman (late 50's). She opened me with a comment about my cowlick, when I said it's a pain in the ass she told me that I'd come to the right place.
I said "what the hell" and gave her a shot. Explained to her exactly what I wanted. She took about twice as long as the Florida guy, but when she finally turned the chair around, I was in awe. The sides were the way I wanted them (tapered up and outward, no lines), the cowlick was manageable without looking like a cowlick (if that makes sense), just... wow.

Barber shops have the experience dealing with all sorts of hair. They seem to know how to give a proper cut, and still make it manageable after you walk out the door.

It'll always be a true barber shop for me.

I go to the same place for about a decade now.
It is a barber shop near my parents town (8 miles away from my house).
He is a 50+ year old guy who does good work. We have some conversations, depending on if there are other customers (most of the customers are females).
I tell him about red-pill and he is fascinated.

Price - 20$.
frequency - ~5 weeks.

I have a backup barber in the town I lived before. He is a younger guy, who does decent work (but less quality than my regular). It's good to have a backup. His price is lower (12$), but I rather pay a little more for quality.

I used to have the same old Jamaican guy cut my hair since i was a kid. He retired back to jamaica early last year so i started cutting my own.
I think he only charged me $20 but i'd give him $40 because i always left happy.

I go once a month to an old-school shop. My barber is outstanding. He takes his craft very seriously, tours around the world, and is as mellow as they come (despite having an incredibly popular Instagram). When I leave the shop, my mane looks better than it will all month. That's how you know he's good. $30+tip, but he always gives out free shit

In a way, finding a great barber is like learning to dress well. It's an exercise in patience, diligence, and self-improvement.
