Now that he has been released from jail his nightmare and this gross miscarriage of justice will truly hit him the hardest, and unfortunately will last a lifetime. Being out in society, while being registered as sex offender, will be far more difficult and damaging for him than sitting in the safe confines of a segregated jail cell for a few months.

This is part of what made the outrage of his "light" punishment so laughable and disgusting- besides the fact there was no evidence of assault- he received the harshest punishment possible, one he can never escape, nor wait out looking forward to an end. He is forced to function in society with a sign around his neck bearing the branding of his "sins", ones determined by a couple anonymous Swedish white knights, who knew nothing of the facts, and a fantastical victim novel.

It's a dreadful, grim situation.

He must be on some sort of probation now correct? If I were him I would leave the country as soon as possible and live under a new name. Unfortunately it will be very difficult to get a visa for any country with a sex offender's record. What is the easiest place to go to? Mexico perhaps? May his way to South America from there, go to college and then travel/work from there?

3 years of probation. I would suggest moving to the UK if they would give him a visa. They don't have any sex offender registry there, because it makes it too difficult for the offender to reassimilate back into society.

But they may not grant a work visa to someone who committed any sort of felony(I would think?)

When his probation is up in 3 years, if the EU has an open borders policy, he could just try to enter with a mob of Syrian refugees, they are taking anyone it seems, and move to Germany or Austria or France or wherever and claim he is looking for religious freedom

I don't know, ask a lawyer, or a felon. I would think he could get a tourist visa to Syria and from there immigrate to the EU. He went to Stanford(didn't finish because he was expelled for this), he must be smart enough to learn a language and work overseas somewhere thoug.

In my state, the sex offender registry lists the offenders' employers. I browsed through about a hundred of them, and it seems that most of them end up being self-employed or working in factories or doing manual labor (putting in fences, working on farms, etc.). He could just look up in the registry what companies have already hired sex offenders, and go apply there.

I'd say Brock has a lot of options open to him, without needing to leave the U.S. Homeowners are not going to care that the guy cleaning out their septic tank spent three months in jail for fingering a girl behind a dumpster. They probably are already hiring people with those kinds of convictions without knowing it.

That's another really good point: olympic swimmers are generally not very social. It takes a different athlete to work out 6 hours a day by yourself in a pool. I am guessing a lot of them never learned basic social skills, much less game, because they spend all of their time in the pool. For the famous ones, the Olympians, they are set. For the guys like Brock, they just go swimming a lot and are socially inept. It can be overcome, I was inept as hell in high school and even the first couple years of college, but when they are studying and swimming all day, expect to see more Brocks out there doing stupid shit.

The funny part is that in any other circumstances if there was someone standing in your yard with a gun and a sign threatening to kill your son, you could legally blow his head off citing self-defense.
