Long time lurker here too. 3 years ago i slowly discovered the whole red-pill world: self-development, game, the nature of women, psychology, biology, the state of nature versus our artificial society, governments BS and so on. Sadly, i haven't taken action yet (ahem... still have the V card... in my wallet) because I just came out of a long depression. recently tho i had a major major success that boosted my self esteem a bit and i'm trying to keep dat self esteem level stable

My purpose here is to discuss and reinforce the attitude needed to maintain a healthy marriage as well as the moral/ethical foundations needed to keep civilization alive.

I have interests in languages, history, and crushing Marxist culture. I speak Mandarin as a domestic language (mother and wife are both Chinese), German with some proficiency, can get by in Slovak, and am in a long-term campaign to conquer Russian someday.

Early 40s guy here. US born, white latin.

New to Game. Picking up on it after 21 years of marriage...she filed for divorce in March. Just read Roosh's Bang, and am finishing up Day Bang.

Working on self improvement. I've lost 40 pounds since then, and am about halfway to my goal.

Hope to learn from the community here, and hopefully be able to contribute in the future.

Other than my 2 kids, I am pretty location independent. I write, and all I really need is an internet connection.

Thinking of some travel now that I am getting cut loose....

Greetings all! I am here because of Neomasculinity! American, age 53.

My path down the rabbit hole has been long, so please bear with me. It begins with the rape hysteria in the media and the sexual assault/rape training I’ve had at my workplace. Have things gotten so out of control that this is necessary? The training made it seem that the legal protections against false accusations were non-existent – especially troubling since an accusation can be just as damaging as a conviction. The reading I have done indicates that false claims of rape/sex assault are common. While I don’t mind a more vigilant approach to dealing with sex assaults it is very important that the constitutional protections on due process are retained and even strengthened. I find it incredibly frustrating that feminists are downright hostile to the constitutional protections on due process.

I am age 53, so I grew up on 2nd wave Feminism. I was largely supportive of their goals. As I learn more about 3rd wave Feminism I have become disillusioned and have come to regard Feminism as a female supremacist movement. When you look deeper into their claims (i.e. trafficking, rape, pay gap) it is all propaganda. I was on Reddit AskFeminism to become better educated on Feminism and was quickly banned. The reason given that my comments were more appropriate for AskTRP. I have only just recently become aware of The Red Pill, but it seems their philosophy is largely congruent with mine.

My observations on the Manosphere:
(1) Men’s Rights Activists (MRA): A bunch of whiners. Essentially the obverse of Feminism which states Men are the victimized sex. Even if true this is no way to run a political movement. MRA should focus on the needs of society and children. Promoting these needs will indirectly also improve the legal position of men. Feminism is about the empowerment of women without regard for the needs of society and, surprisingly, children. Unfortunately, MRA is an ineffective counterweight.
(2) Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW): At my age I have some tendencies towards MGTOW. I think women can be more hassle then they are worth. For young men the MGTOW philosophy goes against natural biology and is insane. Is it a real movement? Maybe I don’t understand it.
(3) Pick-Up Artists (PUA): At first I laughed at them. Not sure when I first heard about PUAs. With the world wide commotion about Julian Blanc and Roosh I had to study this more. It seems worldwide they didn’t like their pick-up lines? Must be powerful stuff. I have since come to understand that PUA is more about self-improvement, understanding women, and not shooting yourself in the foot. What is their not to like?
(4) Reddit, The Red Pill (TRP): The philosophy is a practical approach for dealing with the world as it is. The people, however, are largely angry whiners. It is a negative place.
(5) Neomasculinity: Seems to be a positive version of The Red Pill.

Feminism has gone too far. It has done a real disservice to young men today and have left them confused and dare I say it – entitled whiners. I look forward to becoming a productive member of this community. Neomasculinity is about the only positive development that I have seen for providing guidance to men today. May great oaks rise from small acorns.

I've never met Roosh, but that hasn't stopped him from having a profound impact on my life. I've only been posting on this forum for the past few months, but I've been reading Roosh's writings for the past few years. Before him, I knew what it took to be a player, but through his work, I've learned what it means to truly have game.

I've yet to formally introduce myself, so now seems as good a time as any. I'll be honest, I wasn't always red pill. My dad never taught me how to be successful with women, I think for many of the same reasons detailed in this terrific ROK article (http://www.returnofkings.com/78437/why-y...rn-world). We all know moms gives the worst advice and it didn't help I have no siblings either -- No brothers to take me under their wing, or sisters to provide me access to their cute friends. Everything I learned about the opposite sex, I had to learn on my own.

As a freshman in high school, I was so naive. I honestly believed all it would take to get a girlfriend was to rely on my good looks and after expressing enough interest in a girl, she'd reciprocate and show interest in me. Oh, how wrong I was.

A turning point came one autumn afternoon when I witnessed an argument between a beautiful blonde and her thuggish, jock boyfriend. I don't know what started the fight, but what I'll never forget was what he stood up and said to her in the middle of a crowded cafeteria...

"I only did it for the pussy! I only did it for the pussy!"

Now here was a guy who had the kind of girl I could've only dreamt of getting with at the time, telling her in no uncertain terms and within earshot of practically every other girl in our school, he'd only used her for sex. I could hardly believe my ears -- how stupid was this guy?! Didn't he know that by broadcasting such a fact he'd effectively kill his chances with any other girl? Except it didn't kill his chances. Not even a little bit. Not at all. In fact, this guy never seemed to have a problem finding something new to poke on.

My first exposure to the Manosphere came my sophomore year after I was assigned a biography project in English class. For some reason, I thought it would be funny to choose Arnold Schwarzenegger. I started researching online and came across a lot of information about him on a website called AskMen.com. The website fucking sucks now, but back then it actually had plenty of red pill articles on a multitude of subjects of interest to men (e.g. girls, dating, sex, etc.). I studied the site religiously, even ordered a book called "The System" by a guy who called himself Doc Love, and started applying its principles in my own life -- and guess what? The shit fucking worked.

While much of the advice given in "The System" might seem ancient now, (e.g. Be sure to get a girl's HOME phone number) At the time, it provided me a firm foundation of red pill philosophy.

A few years later, I stumbled across "The Game" by Neil Strauss and through it discovered Mystery, A.K.A. Erik Von Markovik and the PUA (Pick-Up Artist) culture/seduction community. While many at the time were quick to write these guys off as dorks, I could see the value in what they were teaching. I especially enjoyed reading Markovik's book, "The Mystery Method" which I consider to be one of the best step-by-step pickup guides ever written. I've employed many of its stratagems with great success over the years minus having to resort to wearing a feather boa and goggles to get laid.

After playing the field for a while, I eventually found myself in my first serious relationship. The first few years were great, the next couple were still pretty good, but by the time she broke it off, it was a shit mess. The writing had been on the wall a long time, I just didn't want to see it. I was completely devastated when she left.

A wise man once told me, "The best way to get over someone is to get on someone else." So, I tried approaching girls, but I was rusty. I'd been out of the game a long time and my confidence was shot. I started watching videos of every pick-up artist on YouTube, guys like Mystery and Sasha Daygame. It was right around that time I discovered Roosh while looking for pickup tips online. I must've stayed up all night reading article after article. Now, I'd liked "The System" and "The Mystery Method" but compared to what I found on Roosh's site and in "Bang", those other books were shit. I'm not just saying that to blow smoke either, I mean that with the utmost sincerity.

Roosh's writing had both range and depth. Sometimes it was thought-provoking, sometimes it was hilarious. One quality I particularly appreciated was his humility. He wasn't afraid to admit his mistakes but also emphasized how he learned from them. Unlike other pick-up artists, he never acted as though he was successful in every approach or was always able to overcome last-minute resistance, etc. Roosh was human.

Eventually, endlessly pursuing new notches left me feeling empty and in need of something more. For a long time, I made the mistake of making women my whole life instead of just a part of it. But Roosh's articles stressed the importance of becoming well-rounded by educating your mind, strengthening your body and developing seduction skills -- to not just be a player, but to have real game. Additionally, he's helped open my eyes to what's really (politically) going on in the world around us, I owe him a great debt of gratitude and perhaps one day I can shake his hand and buy him a drink. Good to have you here LeoneVolpe. The humility in Roosh's writing is what sets him apart (whether he's actually humble or just a great writer is only for him to know).

I could be wrong, but I think Strauss's experience was a bit earlier than Roosh (if only by a few years), and he was early- mid- 30s, which is approaching the highest point of physical attraction. Both of these factors *may* have led to better outcomes. He also may have been more of a natural.

Even then, you're right, Roosh is great at giving you the raw emotions that come with women, including the failures and successes.

I finally decided to join. I'm in my late 50's, live in Austin, Texas and work in the computer field.

I've never been married, even though I tried. I've never had children and it hurts a lot that I have no family. Given Western society, it's totally impractical for me to get involved with a woman young enough to have children, all I'm allowed to date are grandmothers who are decades past their expiration date. I'm working out the logistics of going overseas, but haven't really decided where yet.

In any case, I would enjoy getting together with folks in central Texas if any meetings actually come together.

I bought most of Roosh's books but hadn't the time to read all of them because I'm now stuck in the hamster wheel.
I did waste precious time during my university time (computer games or just surfing/time waster sites).
At least I choose engineering but I don't think the job prospects are that awesome. (Ok, maybe my expectations were just sky high, and I don't have many other comparables ...)
I'm working at a big company and I chose a PhD programme to be less controlled there at the moment but it's also paid less (at least social security contributions are comparatively low so I don't contribute that much to this wasteful EU budget) ...

Now I had basically a year of parallel self development + improvement, transitioning more from purple pill to TRP (but I also became quite cynical).
With eyes (more) open now, working in this big company gets annoying every day more and more.
My R&D division is more male dominated, but this company wide stupid feminist agenda radiates everywhere -.-
(total political correctness on every internal medium, HR, etc ... just arrrrghh).
My colleagues are quite aware of the discrimination against men now, but they (think they) can't do anything.
So they just stay there with their secure contracts because they can't get fired that easily.

If I assess myself honestly, I'm a typical nerd (but I don't look like that)
and I'd fall in some sort of MGTOW category, mainly because of this definition
"members of the MGTOW community believe that legal and romantic entanglements with women fail a cost-benefit analysis and risk-benefit analysis."
From my point of view, I mainly was too lazy for chasing girls / having relationships.

So why I'm here ?
Women / Game are not a priority at the moment.

(and becoming financially independent, tbh, I don't care how to do it, gaming/exploiting the system would be totally fine, most of the elite shows us that dishonesty plays out)
In parallel I'm working on self improvement and getting rid of that stupid beta male mindset (it's quite hard to remove it, because of 13 years school and 5 years university)

Most of my friends are not TRP so I need to change that.

I'm Aquinas, been a long-time reader and lurker of RVF, ROK, and the RooshV blog. First became aware of the red pill around late 2012, stuck around MGTOW for awhile, then eventually found my way here.

Long story short: I see all that the guys here have accomplished, and want to turn my life around. Made too many mistakes, and want to really start LIVING! Not just existing.

However, I've been stuck in the purple pill for awhile: aware of the nature of many things, and what I need to do, but can't shake bad habits and wrong thoughts I've lived with for some time. Maybe I just need a drill sergeant for Christmas XD

Born in Brisbane and have lived there for most of my 24 years. Long time lurker of the forum and an avid reader of Roosh since being introduced to him in my mid-teens from Roissy. Was a somewhat intelligent kid in my youth but completely socially unaware and extremely shy. I'm talking about growing out my hair long and using it to hide most of my face underneath shy (think of the children's book character 'Grug' for any Aussies out there).

After many sexless and depressing years I decided I needed a change and began the Roosh Program. In March 2013 I started hitting the gym and 3 months later on 5th June 2013 I did my first cold approach and changed my life forever. That date has become more important to me than my birthday. Nowadays I live in a small town in Queensland and work as a Mining Engineer grinding away to get some cash to be able to go backpacking at the start of next year.

In disbelief that such a group could exist I did a little digging and sure enough the media had latched onto a year old satirical article and every vagina from here to Australia was screaming for blood. Of course the extra attention has only brought more men into the fold. Return of Kings, Roosh as well as Quintus Curtius expanded my mind, confirming beliefs I always held to be true despite all the noise out there. Your writings helped me get through a difficult period following the break of a year long relationship before the holidays. The new Chris never takes even an ounce of shit from any female and is rewarded with more ass for it than ever before. Any female (or male for that matter) who dares cross me regrets it soon after because I'm a vindictive motherfucker you'd rather have as a friend than an enemy.
