I thought Bourdain was gay? I'm also pretty sure he was a frequent drug user. In fact I'm pretty sure the drug abuse is what pushed him to commit suicide.

This might have been the last interview he ever gave. Seems he was doing what he wanted with his life, but the blue pill views are made very clear.

He looks terrible here, I had to stop watching two minutes in.

I hadn’t realized that Bourdain also banned white people from an event in Houston...

Quote from the article that spawned that idea:

Quote:Now, Bourdain says, the pleasure of making “Parts Unknown” lies in revisiting places to see how they’ve changed—Cuba five years ago is a different country from Cuba today—or in returning to a place with a fresh perspective. For a recent episode on Houston, Bourdain decided that he wanted “no white people,” and provided instead a look at the city “as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place.”

The point of the show was to look at 'parts unknown'.

Anthony Bourdain Bans White People from His Houston Show

From the article:

Anthony Bourdain received plenty of love for the unconventional Houston episode of his popular CNN TV series Parts Unknown. The episode’s diversity was particularly praised. It turns out the bad boy chef turned travel savant achieved that with one simple edict.

“No white people,” Bourdain told producers about his vision for highlighting Houston according to a recent New Yorker magazine profile.

As PaperCity’s own Jailyn Marcel pointed out when the Houston Parts Unknown first aired, none of the city’s celebrity chefs even sniffed a bit of air time. It turns out most of them never had a chance to get on. Foodie power players such as Chris Shepherd, Bryan Caswell and Ronnie Killen were out from the moment Bourdain issued his “no white people” command.

It’s hard to argue with the results (though when it comes to race, someone is always going to object). Bourdain’s Houston show is one of the most critically-acclaimed episodes of Parts Unknown ever. Bourdain tells the New Yorker that he wanted to look at Houston “as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place.”

Did you catch the sentence that "The episode’s diversity was particularly praised"? So eliminating white people is diversity? What a revealing statement.

Texas is a majority minority state. The open borders that jews have pushed for have successfully replaced whites in the state of Texas as a majority, basically permanently. There is no democratic solution. And now leftist Jews go to the city and ban white chefs from their show, because "he wanted to look at Houston as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place." It goes to show you that diversity is a war on whites. It simply means less white people, and the attack won't ever stop - especially when whites lose their majority status. Diversity is really a program of anti-white hatred. This would be akin to whites using their power to open Israel's borders, see jews reduced to a minority, then banning them from participating in a culinary show...saying that they'd like to focus on it being an Arab and African place.

Parts unknown? You have to ask yourself, in all of Houston, there aren't any white chef's doing interesting things that people don't know about. Give me a break. After his statements in Cologne, honestly, this is about an anti-white agenda.

I find it fitting that he hung himself in Paris, the culinary capital of the west that his comrades are destroying. Perhaps the cognitive dissonance overwhelmed him.

"Did you catch the sentence that "The episode’s diversity was particularly praised"? So eliminating white people is diversity? What a revealing statement."

This is more of the media "inventing reality" -- something I posted about on other threads. It's when they conjure up statements that are fiction but pass them off as fact.

This writer used the phrase "particularly praised." But he didn't give a source. Praised by whom? The reporter's friends? The local diversity police? The reporter's mother?

This is bullshit and not the way we did it in the old days. Hell, what am I saying? WIKIPEDIA won't even let you do this!

In both old-school journalism and on Wikipedia, if you said "praised," they send the copy right back to you saying "Where is your source for this?"

This article proves the standards of modern journalism are below that of even Wikipedia. I've had things removed from Wikipedia because there was no reference. This writer (Chris Baldwin) got an an entire article published based on something he basically made up because it "felt" like a fact to him and his circle-jerk crowd of writers.

Whites are 8% of the world population and at best 2% are of the blond/Nordic/Anglo kind of variety that some people only account for being White.

Diversity is just a term for anti-White and minorities are are majorities worldwide and are only in the current minority in the West. And they want to change that, because the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and most South American countries are such beacons of peace and civility.

But I don't expect reason to reach those shitheads.

That was from the 'Paper city magazine' which Bourdain said this about:
They took a one sentence quote from his interview in the New Yorker and ran that story. It wasn't a blanket statement for his show. He featured a bunch of white people in other episodes, I don't buy this 'anti white agenda'.

Stop lying to push your agenda. Whites are at least double that percentage. I'm no demograph but just off the top of my head being very conservative

500 million in the EU
25 million in non-EU Europe (Balkan states, Switzerland, Belarus, Moldova)
40 million in Ukraine
120 million in Russia

200 million in America
20 million in Canada
15 million in Mexico

3 million in Costa Rica
3 million in Cuba
Another 2 million at least spread amongst different countries in Central America and the Caribbean. Puerto Rico and Nicaragua having the highest percentages.

100 million in Brazil
40 million in Argentina
20 million in Colombia
10 million in Venezuela
5 million in Chile
3 million in Uruguay
3 million spread among the Andean states and the rest of S.A.

20 million in Australia and New Zealand
4 million in South Africa

20 million in Asia minor like Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan
10 million in Lebanon and Syria
10 million Kabyle Berbers in Algeria unless you consider guys that look like Zinedine Zidane non white

What did I miss? Half of all Turkish people so another 35 million.

These are all conservative estimates and I think adds up to over 1.2 Billion or 16% of the world population.

I love this one:

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/37262-v...persistent

Quote:Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter-faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn.

To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living.

Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It's healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I've worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold.

Oh, I'll accomodate them, I'll rummage around for something to feed them, for a 'vegetarian plate', if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine.

If he didn't want to be clickbait, he should have said "My Houston episode will focus on the ethnic restaurant this time, since we did American food last time."

By using the loaded phrase "white people," he was seeking the very clicks he claims he didn't want.

Like lots of other corporate types, he's using "white shaming" to boost his brand with the anti-Trump crowd, and then can't take the heat when he's called on it. What's so hard about saying "ethnic restaurants" like a normal person?

By the way, his Houston show that featured "no whites," had to have a staff of cameramen, producers, and techies with some whites. If he really wanted to go "non-white," he'd have fired his staff. And himself.

I try not to labour calling out hypocrisy on this kind of shit because when done too often it's just fucking weak, but we can all consider how his career would have panned out if he'd done a show banning black people under ANY pretext.

If anyone talks about WHITE people in a way that they wouldn't dare talk about BLACK people then you're talking to a tribal enemy.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

I never paid attention to this guy when he was alive because I'm simply not that into food.

I checked out his No Reservations show this weekend on the Travel Channel. I have to say he is a talented writer and traveler. Of course its scripted and a lot of planning and leg work happen ahead of time and behind the scenes to make these spontaneous looking things happen. But other shows have that and yet don't have the depth that his show did. He was someone who had a passion and went with it. I can find value in that without worrying about his politics, etc. just like I can enjoy a DeNiro film even though on many levels he's reprehensible.

RE: The Anthony Bourdain Thread (RIP)
In the course of getting acquainted with Bourdain's work, I watched the Sicily/Catania episode of Parts Unknown last night, where he opens by pointing out that his Sicily/Palermo episode of No Reservations was a catastrophe and that he feels strongly about making this one work.

Bourdain has a bad experience with a local who promises to show him a "great fishing spot". They go diving only for Bourdain to gradually realize that an accomplice is throwing dead octopuses from the market into the water, which promptly sink to the bottom so that they can be filmed finding them. At some point, an entire bag of dead fish sinks past him. Instead of editing this favorably as the fisherman clearly intended, Bourdain calls it what it is and stops just short of calling his host an asshole.

Obviously, it's TV and he's hamming it up, but I found it telling that he portrayed this as an existential crisis and went out and got blitzed, doing the next segment visibly impaired. He seemed very shaken, like it was gnawing at something deeper. He even uses the word "manic-depression" in his narration at some point to describe his reaction, and this article quotes him on it several years later, as well:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimdobson/2...exclusive/

Quote:Something snapped in me, and a big mistake with the producer at the time, was he put me in a café to calm down until the next take and I began pounding negronis, 18 of them. I was blackout drunk for the next scene, which was good because the artisanal fisherman was going to take us back to his 'traditional' restaurant. I go back and it’s a square plate with a metal ring full of tuna tartar with an avocado on top and squeeze bottle designs....It’s become a hideous, funny failure. But it wasn’t funny to me down there where those dead octopi were splashing down behind my head. I felt like I was speaking in manic, double speed for the next week. I couldn’t breathe, my crew was very concerned and there were some personnel changes afterwards. I'm still pissed about it. This is sort of a dangerous paradox about the shows over the years where the producers understand that when things go really, really badly, its comedy gold sometimes, but its not fun for me. I don’t go out there looking to make a funny show mocking this well-meaning but thoroughly corrupt fisherman who was just trying to make things entertaining.

That's...pretty intense. This is someone who basically thinks positively of people and wants things to work out for everybody, and doesn't recover smoothly when they get rolled and feel betrayed. Guy rolls through Libya and the Congo seeing the best in everybody, but is about ready to throw hands over a frozen cuttlefish. After his divorce, I can imagine how his new girlfriend, clearly skilled at playing the victim, would have had a lot of undue influence over that type of person's thinking.

I didn't really follow this guy at all but I thought it was sad when I saw that he killed himself. Then I started reading this thread a little and saw he left behind a young daughter and thought that was cowardly but I wasn't ready to full condemn the guy. Then I saw the man hating quote from him that I posted a few pages back an was completely over any kind of sympathy. Those two combined was enough for me to think "good riddance." However then I started reading some more post and some guys made some fairly solid points about his life, struggles, situations, suicide, ect. An I started to see him as a person again and was bit on the fence.... until I saw the video about "white genocide is the only answer" An now I am 110% ok with his suicide. I usually preach a holier then thou message on here on threads about death as I think life is the most precious thing there is.... however I am sickened to the core by weak, self hating, cucks. An thats exactly how I see this "male" I'm not going to gloat about his death or piss on his grave (anymore then the little bit I said about him here) nor will I be posting and condolences or RIPs for him either.

Look, I never wanted to be part of bro culture. I was always embarrassed. If I ever found myself, and I mean going way back, with a group of guys and they started leering at women or making, “Hey, look at her. Nice rack,” I was always, I was so uncomfortable. It just felt, it wasn’t an ethical thing; it was that I felt uncomfortable and ashamed to be a man and I felt that everybody involved in this equation was demeaned by the experience. I was demeaned by standing there next to things like this. They were demeaned for behaving like this. It’s like sitting at a table with somebody who’s rude to a waiter. I don’t want to be with someone like that.

But, look, I accepted when the book came out, that I was the bad boy. There I was in the leather jacket and the cigarette and I also happily played that role or went along with it. Shit was good. People said a lot of silly things about me. People actually used the word macho around me. And this was such a mortifying accusation that I didn’t even understand it.

I'm getting pretty tired of self hating weak "males" I wont even use the term men.

Weak males gonna be weak

You hit the nail on the head. People with serious psychological deficits, for example bad coping skills, naive world views, narcissism, etc, simply cannot handle reality being different than what they want it to be.

This is why they are so susceptible to blue pill propaganda. It is a powerful crutch for those who cannot handle the world as it actually is. Everything and everyone MUST be wonderful and nice, and if it is not and hurts their feelings, it must be DESTROYED. The same mentality as a three year old, but trapped in an adult body.

With regards to the anti-white stuff, I regrettably have to agree that it is clearly a real phenomena. I am white, but have good friends that are Jewish, Indian, black, asian, etc. But the NWO clearly has a major beef with white people, and wants us gone. I'll summarize my feelings on that below:

(06-11-2018 10:08 AM)Jetset Wrote:  In the course of getting acquainted with Bourdain's work, I watched the Sicily/Catania episode of Parts Unknown last night, where he opens by pointing out that his Sicily/Palermo episode of No Reservations was a catastrophe and that he feels strongly about making this one work.

I remember that episode pretty well, but had no idea he was shaken about he octopus incident. He was one of the few guys on TV that tried to be authentic, and cared about that stuff. Of course we can argue about his later work, that seemed to toe more of an ideological line... But episodes like that one, and the St. Petersberg episode made for some good TV.

Stop lying to push your agenda. Whites are at least double that percentage. I'm no demograph but just off the top of my head being very conservative

I am not pushing any agenda - I am no CNN. Even if the numbers are currently higher than 8% or even 15% if you include countries in which they are already minorities or are shitholes. Heck - if you get to include 50% of Turks, then by all means it gets higher.

The problem with those numbers is that the immigration flow to the West is massive and most Western Whites will be certainly minorities in their own home-countries. This is not an agenda pushing, but fact.

Plus the natural demographics of Whites are some of the oldest in the world - even without any doing the populations would shrink dramatically in the West. And being 50% of Brazil or some 15% of Venezuela certainly worked out well for them.

I wonder what kind of agenda you are pushing? I may be sometimes quoting different numbers on the hurry. That does not invalidate my points and it will be down to 8% soon enough.

I agree with the first part about the vulnerability, but with Bourdain, I get the sense that it's a lot more innocent than that. The narcissistic rage reaction of destroying things that threaten your worldview is rarely compatible with suicide.

Suddenly, at age ~58, his marriage implodes, he's getting sleeve tattoos (whatever, but in my experience, doing that later in life is a significant personality change), he's dating this woman with a victim narrative, getting political, adopting bits of their language. He's trying very hard to figure out if this, finally, is where the life puzzle fits together, and then, after something throws that model out the window, too, the only thing he wants to destroy is himself.

Which is truly a bullshit thing.

Rose McGowan has now flown to Italy as Asia Argento's self-appointed grief counselor, and written an open letter asking the world to refrain from the "sexism" of blaming Argento for Bourdain's suicide, declaring that they had an open relationship that she's "heard" had been the happiest two years of Bourdain's life, and that they had bonded over their shared struggles with depression and suicidal ideation. Oddly, she repeatedly stresses that it was his choice alone, answering a question that nobody has been asking.

https://people.com/movies/rose-mcgowan-a...t-borders/

Quote:The 44-year-old actress went on to implore anybody reading her open letter to “join me in sending healing energy to Anthony on his journey, and to all who’ve been left behind to journey on without him. There is no one to blame but the stigma of loneliness, the stigma of asking for help, the stigma of mental illness, the stigma of being famous and hurting,” she continued.

She also added that “Anthony would never have wanted Asia to be hurt,” before urging anyone who might be considering suicide to seek help.
