He didn't actually say that. It was the other guy. He mentioned the Singapore model where "everyone is so mixed up and intertwined".

He got Singapore wrong though. I'm no expert on SG, but it seemed very racially segregated when I have been there and almost caste-like in parts. Seemed every 7-11 worker was indian for example.

In any case, for most of his shows, I think he was mostly an honest leftist, who had some principles. Proven by his attack on Kissinger. You will be hard pressed to even find a conservative or democrat today, even a "Bernie" who would call out Kissinger for what he was, one of the world's worst mass murderers.

He never really struck me as (((fellow white people))), but more of an idealist.

Not only that, but I can think of so many other suicide victims I'd give more sympathy to: Veterans, Divorce raped men, children of broken homes, etc.

Anthony had 100x the opportunities to fix himself than most. Zero sympathy for the guy.

What kind of Christian are you?

Religion aside, don't knock depression until you have experienced it yourself. Have you ever been cheated on by someone you loved? It's not really about the girl. It's about coming to the realization that no one except your parents will ever love you. The fact that you're completely replacable like a door knob. You lose faith in women. You question your worth as a man. All you want is someone to explain to you why and perhaps vent a bit but no one will let you.

Even your old boys will tolerate your depression for a week at most. A depressed man is dead weight to society as Mr Lemon eloquently explained. Your very unhappiness makes people including your own family look at you with utter contempt. You then start losing faith in humanity and become even more depressed.

Then the wolves come out to take you for everything you got. This is a timeless truth.

From Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.

Alexey after his slutwife Anna was publicly and shamelessly fucking her paramour in his own house

Quote:Left alone, Alexey Alexandrovitch recognised that he had not the strength to keep up the line of firmness and composure any longer. He gave orders for the carriage that was a him to be taken back, and for no one to be admitted, and he did not go down to dinner.

He felt that he could not endure the weight of universal contempt and exasperation, which he had distinctly seen in the face of the clerk and of Korney, and of every one, without exception whom he had met during those two days. He felt that he could not turn aside from himself the hatred of men, because that hatred did not come from his being bad (in that case he could have tried to be better), but from his being shamefully and repulsively unhappy. He knew that for this, for the very fact that his heart was torn with grief, they would be merciless to him. He felt that men would crush him as dogs strangle a torn dog yelping with pain. He knew that his sole means of security against people was to hide his wounds from them, and instinctively he tried to do this for two days, but now he felt incapable of keeping up the unequal struggle.

His despair was even intensified by the consciousness that he was utterly alone in his sorrow. In all Petersburg there was not a human being to whom he could express what he was feeling, who would feel for him, not as a high official, not as a member of society, but simply as a suffering man; indeed he had not such a one in the whole world.

I've been depressed at least a dozen times, I've written RoK articles about it, Anthony could have worked through it. He had both the money and the time to do anything, he didn't even try.

Christians don't respect selfish people.

From the novel you quoted; the man in there built his own cage and was forced to suffer alone in it. Had he not been a fake tough guy in the first place, but instead built loving relationships, then he would have been in a place to confide in other men when he needed to.

Was a big fan of Anthony Bourdain. Loved his travels and writing. I don't see why people here are bashing him for hating Trump, so what? People have different opinions. I largely agreed with him, Trump is a joke of a president, straight and utter garbage who is the elite establishment's fuckboy.

But aside from that I don't agree with Bourdain taking his life. Its selfish to do so when so many people depend on you. Life isn't so bad enough for you to take your own life, especially when Bourdain was living a life that most people only dream of having. There's people in the third world who are dirt poor starving, living in huts, on the streets and living in oppressive regimes with ruthless dictators and you don't see them killing themselves. But Bourdain dare kills himself over a cheating woman? Not even the Jews during WW2 when Hitler was after them killed themselves.

I have no sympathy for Bourdain and for what he did. He took the coward's way out.

My guess, unfounded, is that they still have their pride, at least the dignity of surviving in a war-torn city and being able to say "I'm still alive, so I win".

For Bourdain, if this was over his relationship, because he'd made her director of an episode that he'd just been bragging up to everyone was the pinnacle of his career just before the pictures came out of her playing around in Rome. It may very well have been a wave of humiliation that did him in and an inability to face his colleagues.

I watched the first season of Parts Unknown this weekend. I don't usually watch travel shows because they're all the same and usually seem geared toward hipsters or old people doing idle sightseeing. I figured a show run by a chef would be a lot of that, and also, it's CNN. (In the last fifteen years, I probably turned it on once, during the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombers, realized they were just holding an iPad with real news on it up to the camera, and turned it back off again.)

Instead, it was pretty beefy and human. The guys showing up at the bullet-riddled railroad depot in the Congo every morning, without pay, to maintain the train was an eye-opening segment and I can't imagine any other travel show taking the time to just come find them and take an interest in their work like men.

Worth watching. It'll be on in the background while I work for a few weeks.

He struck me as yet another try-hard wannabe who could never completely mix with the elites he once served in restaurants.

He knew shit-all about Singapore since between takes he stayed sequestered in swank hotels like the one he hanged himself in the other day. Diversity isn't so simple in Singapore either. Race is a very hot subject and strongly influences immigration quotas, and not the way Bourdain would have expected or approved. The Singaporean government doesn't care about Western expats (i.e., white folk) since they have little to no impact on the social services and cannot vote. But between language, race and religion of the citizens and potential citizens, it's a powder keg that would explode wide open were it not for the strong sense of law and order (caning, execution of drug smugglers, etc.) - something anathema to liberal cucks like Bourdain.

When a rare crime of violence happens in Singapore it frequently involves a Muslim, usually a Malay, occurs late at night, and is alcohol-related. Bourdain not only didn't know or care to know that, and he likely had no idea even who the Malay are.

On the subject of diversity, one thing about Singapore which stands out is their diversity program, which by definition don't involve white people since there are practically zero white citizens. I'm not used to reading about diversity which does not read like an anti-white contract kill order.

We hate him because his culinary and presentational talents, which admittedly were impressive, allowed him to leverage his show to peddle an anti-white marxist/globalist ideology to millions of impressionable viewers without any thought as to the long term consequences.

Just for that and for offing himself I hope he's roasting in hell right now. Pun intended.

RE: The Anthony Bourdain Thread (RIP)
Not wanting to beat this to death, but here I go anyway.

I have no idea of the actual state of Bourdain's mind. Maybe he was torn by internal pain like the guy in Tolstoy. Maybe he was as self-loathing as some of you believe.

But I do know what happened: his strength to resist his demons/darkness/internal contradictions "gave out". Because at that age your strength gives out. That's just the way it is.

If you're a man who is well-set, let's say, you live on a farm you built and tended happily for 50 years, then you are likely ok, because you are living in a structure that serves to carry you. If you're a scientist who has spent your life exploring something you care deeply about, then you are happy living the rest of your days going to conferences and being toasted by the younger guys you trained.

The point is, you no longer have the strength to resist the crap. You need at that time to be in a crap-free zone. You need a happy family and a solid career, as impossible as that sounds in today's man-hating world.

Men who commit suicide at 60-something (a huge number) or who die of cancer or heart disease are usually the guys who were not able to build that successful structure. Maybe they just got fucked by bad fortune (it happens all the time, to people who deserved better.).

Remember the Great Depression? Uncounted and unmourned tens of millions of men in their 50s and 60s simply died. They lost everything, crept out to the woods with the other "hobos" and drank themselves to death with cheap booze. They were buried in unmarked graves and it was never spoken of. Their wives married other men and their children ended up in orphanages. Their sons went to war against HItler and Japan and then built new lives and families for themselves, scraping new lives out of their mud and pain.

It's not just about career and money. That's not even nearly enough. Bourdain shows that. You need to be mentally content and you need a family. You need a wife who is *not* divorcing you to Eat Pray Lie.

Anyway, I don't have any answers since I have not achieved the above myself. Just saying that Bourdain could have exploded for any number of reasons. If you're a 35 year old guy, don't judge too harshly.

Regarding today's world: it may be that this man-hating society IS the next version of the Great Depression. Maybe this is what will cause tens of millions of men to creep off into the woods and drink themselves to death. Or in this specific case, 10s of millions of men are made into felons and added to sexual predator lists; they die living in a tent in a homeless shelter, or shooting heroin. Nature likes to cull men.

RE: The Anthony Bourdain Thread (RIP)
The signs were there for a long time. Two years ago on this thread I mentioned how I thought his selling out was killing him:

/thread-56029...pid1309895

You could just feel it.

The hunched-over posture, the blank, vacant, puppy-dog eyes looking for approval that never came, the sense that no matter how many crab cakes with lemongrass filling he crammed into his gullet, these gastronomic enticements could never compensate for a spiritual core that was as empty as a discarded coconut on the beach at Ipanema.

And so when there were no more delicacies to sample, no more wines to swill, no more rich meats to swoon over in some obscure French village, he was left only with his own empty eyes looking back at him in the mirror.

It should be warning and a lesson to us all.

It comes down to the fact that he had no rudder, no stability, and no guiding ethic.

You could see it in his most recent shows, the selling out to push CNN's agenda. On a trip to Russia, he spent half the episode talking to "dissidents" against Vladimir Putin. Visits to other countries (e.g., Iran) were similarly tainted by the agenda-pushing.

All that must have taken a heavy toll. Combine that with a hollowed-out persona, a lack of mental toughness, and other psychological factors, and you have a doomed man.

I also strongly suspect he left a note. This was a writer. Writers can barely take out the garbage without leaving a memo about it. My guess--again, it's just speculation--is that there is damning statements in it. He may have finally given the world a piece of his mind. He may even have called out CNN, and they dare not release what he said.

We may find out more in the years to come.

There will always be this forum, for men.

If you ever get this low, for fuck's sake spill it here. Tell your story and listen to others.
Sure we bust balls, but it only makes us stronger, to weed out the weak who say 'kill yourself', to build a strong support for those who need it every once in a while.

edit; Did Anthony have any close friends?

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. I've never met any social justice type who does seem to have any high quality friends....but you're not going to when you're in a psychpathic mindset where you view every relationship a manifestation of group power dynamics.

Tony wasn't a "note" kind of guy. He, in my estimation, simply said "let's do this". Everything else you mention is dead on.

He was apparently traveling with a close friend, Eric Ripert, who had his room opened and found his body after he didn't show up for dinner, and then breakfast. I'm sure there were other people in his life, but it's depressing that someone could take their own life even while traveling with a trusted friend.

Knowing what I know, it was a bummer to see Ripert introduced in his show. Hard to imagine getting into that state chilling in Alsace with an old friend, bitch troubles or not. Christ. Pour a beer and go start some shit with a waitress. I'd think Alsatian broads have big tits. It'll pass.

I can actually see how the change in milieu that came with joining the CNN-crowd would lead someone to try to fit in and lose their identity, and, potentially, become suicidal when they hit a major setback and feel truly alone.

Guys that marry their "Best Friends" do shit like this. After my divorce I was vomiting red pill truth all around me. I dated another ultra liberal social worker/psychologist woman and another with a doctorate degree. It took two women like this and an older man to warn me that if I did not change the way I think, I would end up with the same woman over and over again. One of those women were a blind date hookup. Both woman had so many red flags and serious daddy issues it wasn't funny. After that I never accepted blind dates from anyone. They cannot know what I need or what when I am trying to change as a man. You have to be honest enough as a man to seek the truth, not just ideals.

This is where liberal men fail. Their liberal beliefs make them think a woman behaving like a man is a woman of high value. They are too pussy to bend a bitch to their own whims, so they must climb up to a woman on their level to gain attraction. Their liberal beliefs think humans do not need to have boundaries because they think they are better than the intrinsic nature we were designed with. Their philosophy of thinking is anti-game. That's why liberal men try to whiteknight, become male feminists, and ultimately game denialists. A liberal rejects social and political realism because they think they can be God and bend reality to their evil carnal desires. It's a natural kind of insanity.

Something bad is going to happen with their arraignment, whatever the fuck that is. No open relationship lasts long (or ends softly) because it is not always about the two that initially started it, but the external people they bring into it. It may not result in "cheating" but someone in their circle could end up getting stabbed or shot. Just a look at all the beta orbiters comments on that instagram make that clear enough that funny stuff is going on, the actual body language in the pictures is just extra proof to men with a keen eye.

Anthony cannot heal from his fall like this. He will fall again. When Roosh says that game save lives, he isn't pulling that shit out of his ass. That guy may have traveled the world more than us, but he did not get anything out of it. Whatever dysfunction you leave America with, stays with you. Old school liberal? New School Liberal? What difference does that make? Retard Lite and Retard Extra like some bottles of Corona? Liberals with class are still just as wrong as the ones without it. The only thing he seems to have learned overseas is that he wants the same dysfunction Europe has and bring it to America.

No one should feel bad for this guy. He is completely indoctrinated into dysfunction and is more than just set in his ways. If he had his way, he would want you to be just like him. Completely beholden to a pyscho masculine bitch on a pedestal. Hey, after all isn't that what all liberals want for us all anyway? He and Obama just discussed food only? LOL

I hadn’t realized that Bourdain also banned white people from an event in Houston...

I’d rather be far right, than far wrong!

Seems odd to me the man would suddenly start collecting prominent tattoos at ~58, about the same time some people here say he looks defeated and he gets mixed up with Argento.

Quote from the article that spawned that idea:

Quote:Now, Bourdain says, the pleasure of making “Parts Unknown” lies in revisiting places to see how they’ve changed—Cuba five years ago is a different country from Cuba today—or in returning to a place with a fresh perspective. For a recent episode on Houston, Bourdain decided that he wanted “no white people,” and provided instead a look at the city “as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place.”

The point of the show was to look at 'parts unknown'.

I am utterly shocked.

Another aspect I would like to point out is the current antidepressants and SSRIs. Some of them have "suicidal thoughts" as a side effect - I read this even with a few antidepressants. Long-term use of those things can leave you far worse off than without them.

We can assume that he took them for years - believing all in the mainstream like a good tool he was.

My guess, unfounded, is that they still have their pride, at least the dignity of surviving in a war-torn city and being able to say "I'm still alive, so I win".

*sigh* Damnit. I didn't read closely and thought you were referencing WWII as a metaphor. Now I see that my RVF memes are incomplete.

The point of the show was to look at 'parts unknown'.

Anthony Bourdain Bans White People from His Houston Show

From the article:

Anthony Bourdain received plenty of love for the unconventional Houston episode of his popular CNN TV series Parts Unknown. The episode’s diversity was particularly praised. It turns out the bad boy chef turned travel savant achieved that with one simple edict.

“No white people,” Bourdain told producers about his vision for highlighting Houston according to a recent New Yorker magazine profile.

As PaperCity’s own Jailyn Marcel pointed out when the Houston Parts Unknown first aired, none of the city’s celebrity chefs even sniffed a bit of air time. It turns out most of them never had a chance to get on. Foodie power players such as Chris Shepherd, Bryan Caswell and Ronnie Killen were out from the moment Bourdain issued his “no white people” command.

It’s hard to argue with the results (though when it comes to race, someone is always going to object). Bourdain’s Houston show is one of the most critically-acclaimed episodes of Parts Unknown ever. Bourdain tells the New Yorker that he wanted to look at Houston “as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place.”

Did you catch the sentence that "The episode’s diversity was particularly praised"? So eliminating white people is diversity? What a revealing statement.

Texas is a majority minority state. The open borders that jews have pushed for have successfully replaced whites in the state of Texas as a majority, basically permanently. There is no democratic solution. And now leftist Jews go to the city and ban white chefs from their show, because "he wanted to look at Houston as a Vietnamese and Central American and African and Indian place." It goes to show you that diversity is a war on whites. It simply means less white people, and the attack won't ever stop - especially when whites lose their majority status. Diversity is really a program of anti-white hatred. This would be akin to whites using their power to open Israel's borders, see jews reduced to a minority, then banning them from participating in a culinary show...saying that they'd like to focus on it being an Arab and African place.

Parts unknown? You have to ask yourself, in all of Houston, there aren't any white chef's doing interesting things that people don't know about. Give me a break. After his statements in Cologne, honestly, this is about an anti-white agenda.

I find it fitting that he hung himself in Paris, the culinary capital of the west that his comrades are destroying. Perhaps the cognitive dissonance overwhelmed him.

I’d rather be far right, than far wrong!

That's why I asked earlier if he was on psychotropics. Pills are bad news. Too many inexplicable suicides are linked to anti-depressants.

I mean inexplicable in the sense that they make no sense. Wade Belak, the former NHL player, Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, Robin Williams...

All men that seemed to have no reason to pull the plug on life.

RE: The Anthony Bourdain Thread (RIP)
This whole situation strikes to the very heart of what we discuss in this forum. The red pill and women - the disaffected men who society has no use for - the degradation of institutions. It's hitting me hard, though I'd never heard of Anthony Bourdain before now. His story is every Western man's story - and he made unrighteous choices, which led him to this inevitable end.

It, and Quintus Curtius' post, inspired me to write this tweet:

I'm going to be livestreaming about these issues in about 20 minutes, because I think they're central to the reason we're all here, and I plan to quote liberally from the posters in this thread.

God, so little has changed since the early days of the manosphere. We've developed better grammar for describing the problems, but the problems still remain.

My website.
Now streaming on the DLive platform..
