This thread is the next installment in a series of policy proposals that are designed to help Trump win the general election and Make America Great Again. Part 1 can be found here: Rebuilding America's Infrastructure.

To briefly recap what I feel are the keys to successful Trump policy proposals:

1. They have to be positions he believes in and that are a natural fit for his overall message.

2. They have to be FRESH and cut across political ideologies and party lines. They should resonate with a wide swath of the population, left right and center.

3. They have to play to one of Trump's personal strengths and allow him to highlight that strength in a natural and organic way.

The infrastructure proposal satisfied all of these requirements. It is needed because our infrastructure is crumbling; it is part of Trump's core message; it has nothing to do with Republican orthodoxy and can win over independent and Democratic voters; and it allows Trump to highlight his strength as a BUILDER, someone who knows how to get things built, and to do it ahead of schedule and under budget.

Here, I want to present the next proposal in the series:

Reviving the American Family: A Commitment to Supporting Bigger and Stronger Families

The motivation for this is simple: the fertility rate in the US (as in much of the West) is barely at replacement level. We cannot keep growing as a country and as a vibrant economy if we don't grow our population. We need policies that will spur the revival of the American family, a new baby boom -- the TRUMP BABY BOOM.

What Trump should say is that he will look very hard at a whole range of policies that will make it easier for American families to have 1, 2, 3 or more kids -- as many as they want. He can mention that Marco Rubio -- Trump: a great guy, by the way, no seriously he is a good guy -- had the very interesting idea of a new child tax credit, and the Trump administration is going to look hard at that. It will also look hard at maternity leave, and it will be open to many different specific suggestions that all contribute to the goal of Reviving the American Family.

Here is why this is such a slam dunk for Trump:

1. It fits naturally within the framework of a national revival and of Making America Great Again. How can America be great without great American families? A family with 1 child -- let alone a childless family -- is not much of a family. If we're going to be great again we need to start growing our population above replacement level, we need NEW ENERGIES and a part of those new energies is making babies at a higher rate than we have been for too long.

2. It allows Trump to naturally highlight a very important personal strength, and that is his own extraordinary family which reflects so well on him. He can say:

But I was rich -- it's never easy but it's a lot easier when you're rich. I want Americans who are middle class to have beautiful BIG families like I had so we can grow the country and grow the economy. We're going to look at maternity leave and a lot of other things. It's too hard for American women to be mothers that needs to change.

The American Family theme will allow him to bring his own family on the stage in a way that is natural and organic, rather than forced or showy. He can say, I just want all Americans even if they aren't wealthy to be able to have BIG BEAUTIFUL families like I've been so lucky and privileged to have. And it will allow him to connect with women in a deep and serious way and outline specific proposals that will help women more than anyone else.

I believe that Trump's family town hall with Anderson Cooper was one of the two or three things -- along with bringing Paul Manafort on board, and making the "rigged system" argument about Colorado and other delegate conventions -- that decisively shifted the primary in Trump's favor. It was that good. This theme will allow Trump to bring his family into the election in a way that is not really about him but about America and what can be done to grow and revive the American family. That will make it even more powerful.

Implicitly it will be a good contrast with the Clintons who only managed to pump out one daughter and a not very prepossessing one at that (but that's not something he should say, of course, let people figure it out for themselves). It's a telling contrast and if he hammers the American Family theme it's one that quite a few people will notice.

3. It's a theme that cuts across all ideologies, left and right, and appeals to all population groups. He can say how it's going to be great for Hispanics, great for African Americans, great for American Muslims, great for everyone. We all want BIG BEAUTIFUL families but we need policies that help make this a reality. The Trump administration is going to be a time to make a lot of BABIES in the US. It's going to be FUN -- he can give a little wink about that, and everyone will love it.

Parenthetically, he can say that this is also a reason we need to make our education and healthcare much cheaper and much better. Education needs to become useful and spur a "new revolution in the trades" -- we are going to have new, brilliant blue collar web-connected trades, something which is already happening to some extent -- we are seeing trades workers, plumbers and electricians and HVAC specialists walking around with iPads and getting much more efficient at their jobs. To that we will soon be adding much cheaper and much more efficient healthcare, competitive web-infused healthcare that will cut waste and produce better results. These efficiency gains will help us reduce costs across the board and we'll be able to Revive the American Family, so we can Make America Great Again.

MMX2010, the tone of this proposal -- just like the infrastructure proposal -- should be positive and uplifting. It's about Making America Great Again, in this case by reviving the American family and giving people the opportunity to have big, healthy and happy families during the TRUMP BABY BOOM.

There is indeed a contrast that will be drawn between Trump's extraordinary family and the Clinton one child family but there is no need to either make it explicit -- of course -- nor harp on it too much. The voters will figure it out implicitly.

We should emphasize the positive and not let our ire strangle our inspiration. That is how we can help Trump. Voters are being told his message is one of hate; but if you're talking about Rebuilding America, or Reviving the American Family, the message is one of love and of FRESHNESS that spurs new energies and a national revival. That is the core of Trump's campaign.

No, you don't win people over by making them feel bad about themselves or disparaging their families.

Just tell people, you know one of the things that I'm really impressed with about Trump is that he's been such a great father. He's raised 5 really successful kids and they all love and respect him but are also strong and confident personalities in their own right. You know how so many kids of rich people and celebs are just good-for-nothings who drink or do drugs? Never happened to any of them. If the guy is so bad and so "sleazy" and all those other things, how did he pull that off?

Or just find a video of that CNN town hall and tell them, watch this when you have a little time, you might be surprised.

Okay, that makes sense.

I asked four people to do just that in a Facebook chat, and insisted that Donald Trump is one of the best human beings to walk the planet.

One guy disagreed, because Trump has been divorced and didn't play games with his kids.

That was such an irrational criticism that I've forgotten how special that Town Hall was.

This is a good idea. But keep in mind the unique approaches to Child Tax benefits and Mat leave that America currently does not have had already been in place for decades in Canada and Europe. These programs have not halted the demographic plunge in regards to women not having children. If anything these programs made it much worse as the ghetto women abuse the tax credits, and imbalances happen with Mat. Leave with at times Men taking the time off versus the women due to career settings.

A total re-boot of the current system has to be put into place. You have to make it fashionable to pro-create for women. This only comes when a large stock of working class men are ready to go after young women who think about careers and all that crap but don't really want it.

Offering Tax Credits just means that Suzy from Prole City will just have 8 kids instead of 4, and Women's groups will hawk it to be across the board regardless if a father is present or not, next SCOTUS will cockblock you to include couples who are not man and women.

Child-making incentives only work for lower and middle-class people. The top people don't bit at it as the ROI is not worth if for them. Since American has next to no middle-class people left, it will all be proles who procreate which is not what you want. There has to be a system in place that naturally puts young men and women in an environment to me, and to procreate, that can lessen the risk and burden.

My take is that the kill-shot has to be to the education system. As The College racket is hopefully nearing its end, you need to implode Post-Secondary schools and make them pseudo-matching making incubators. Where young people can match with each other and attempt, grow families. University will be child caring centers where women who are 20-24 can phase in and out of school with young children and then complete studies with a kid at a right age (5-7) before they enter the workforce.

If women by all accounts excel much earlier at school then boys do then put them in College faster to be around older advanced studies boys who they can match and mate with. If the girls are not down with college then ready to go Tradesman and manufacturing men who will be already working will be willing to swoop them up (Make HS two years, with vocational and trades being an option early for boys who excel in that area). You essentially rig the system to create workers and families.

Currently, young families are left for pasture. The 18-year-olds who in the 1920s could fend for themselves with hard work and resilience have no ability to do so in today's world. Young families are regulated to being poor and working poor off the jump as the costs associated with child care start to compound with the realities that two incomes need to be in place to support one in this modern age.

The college idea offers the perfect incubator to shield young people from the hardships of the "real world". There would be no shame in sitting in a lecture with pregnant bellies all around. Women can go play with their children in on-site daycare in between lectures, go get healthcare at the school teach hospital, etc.

This would double to destroy the toxic human hating ideologies from hardcore feminism that has rendered childbearing offensive as it marches to destroy all human life. Feminism means nothing when you have thousands of happy young mothers glowing walking down halls and in playing with kids in the quad. Feminists would have nothing to sell as these women would not be confused but affirmed and locked into their biological destiny.

To me Mat. Leave is not needed if women have children early, and the family is grounded in stability. If your kid is 5 years old, it is already in learning programs and away from the parents for some time each day. In a perfect world, these women would be around the children for a considerable time from 0-4 years old during crucial years of nurturing. They can take classes part-time if needed. If not oh well, the man should be in working stages by then. No need for a "starter home" as two young 20-somethings can happily live in an apartment building or small place.

I am ranting here but to me, the opportunities are endless if you go about it a certain way. No with specific programs that attempt to incentive making children. But mainly just crafting an environment where nature can do its job in a modern context. That would be ideal.

As someone who has followed the RVF's coverage of Trump's ascension and sees him as the only bulwark against the economic and cultural deathstroke of rotten leftist globalism, seeing your remarkable policy proposals that actually could be implemented realistically has me so excited for the possibilities that a Trump presidency could bring. There is so much positive potential to Make America Great Again and this opportunity is truly historic.

Bravo Lizard of Oz! I can only hope these suggestions make it to the big man himself.

If you read that Atlantic article, one thing jumps out more than any other: the insanity of the American education system, American college in particular:

This is just madness. There is no racket in the US more outrageous than the "college tuition" racket and nothing even comes close in its ruinous effects on the American middle class. These places realize that normal people may -- sometimes -- pinch pennies when it comes to themselves, but they will never deny anything to their precious children; the young dudes and sluts must have the best schools, the best colleges, the best everything. The government enables all of this with endless loan programs. As a result, the savings of one generation are depleted, and the next one starts out its life with a debt burden that it struggles to repay for many years if not decades. And of all this money goes to sponsor innumerable Year Zero studies departments, where dykes and manginas while away their days thinking about how to transform "consent" and "harassment" laws in such a way as to make the lives of normal men into a living hell -- and how to permanently ruin the lives of some of the students of those very universities while they're at it.

The US higher education bubble needs to burst, and this needs to happen yesterday. And the only way this happens will be when parents and students come to their senses and stop buying what the universities are selling. The field is ripe for competition, for educational and vocational institutions that are lean and tightly focused and that offer to train kids in specific skills cheaper, faster and more effectively than the disgusting bloated SJW fiefdoms American families are handing over their life savings to.

The romance of the American four year college must end, the spell must be broken; the sooner the better. The result will be normal middle class American families having more dollars in their bank account to spend on products that drive the real economy forward; and endless hordes of malignant SJW parasites being less assured of a cushy and untouchable sinecure from which to spread their evil. That's what I would call a win/win.

Whenever people ask Trump about the minimum wage, I would love to hear him use the word "family wage". A wage that a working man can raise a family on, presumably at a job that comes back from Mexico or China.

The proposal is powerful and it's the right kind of message for Trump to appeal to Americans across the board. In the stages of getting people to vote for him, it's perfect. When Trump is in office, it needs provisions for keeping families together or the dysfunction will continue, and a man paying child support for 4 or 5 children will be a debt slave. The financial incentive to remain married until the kids have left the nest needs to be greater for the woman than divorcing the man for alimony and child support. How can that be achieved?

As much as Trump has moved the overton window, family law is still off limits. Maybe when Donald Jr becomes president in 2025.

Realistically, I think the social fabric of the United States is far too decayed to ever be repaired. Feminism has left its mark on the American female, and there's no putting the toothpaste back into the tube. The American family is dead.

Best case scenario, Trump revitalizes the economy so that we younger men can make enough money to either make as comfortable a lifestyle as we can attain in the United States or GTFO if we are so inclined. Hopefully, under Trump's administration we will also keep to ourselves, so we will stop infecting greener pastures with the scourge of feminism. I very much hope that I am proven wrong, but this is probably the best we can hope for.
