Reviewing past flings, I realized how I fell into a trap of girls that had mastered the art of hiding the 1000 cock stare, as we call it in these parts.

Regardless, I've met women, the majority of which happen to be eastern european, although there are some plain old american girls that qualify, who get past this "reliving our glory days", and who would still make good companions. In fact, I know a few of them that realized the sand was almost out of the hourglass and they latched onto the best man they could find, got hitched, and popped out kids.

They were never the best looking girls, but they could make up for it with pleasantness and hard work.

The male equivalent of the same is a middle aged man always looking back to his highschool days as the best time of his life. Al Bundy provides a more humorous example:





In both cases, male or female, neither person worked hard to keep the motion in their life.

It's easy to look back to the past with a maudlin glance, as these women have, or in an ostentatiously overly sentimental anecdote to a son. The real effort is overcoming the urge, and making a better life using the past as a lesson.

The past is at best a lesson. It cannot be re-lived. Make the best of the time you have, and carve a way into the future.

Change, adapt. If the past contains your best memories, and you are not making new ones now-- if you are not waking up in the morning awaiting the adventure that comes-- you are in a rut and need to clamber your way out.

A lot of hate in this thread could easily be applied to L.A. as a whole.

So many thin, good looking girls, ruining their looks by following idiotic trends and fashion styles that remove their femininity.

That $20,000 could easily be hers to spend. I remember I once got hooked up with some older career chick by a mutual acquaintance. The one that was hooking me up with her told me, "You'll like her a lot. She's super independent, has a career, has her own money..." as if these were the selling points. You guys talk about women spending hubby's money as if that's something unnatural. It's not. The man earns the resources and the woman spends it.

The problem is how she's spending it, and the lack of patriarchal principals that enforce this tradition.

But I'd rather live in a society where women are forced to spend hubby's money than having a population of women out there that "have their own money." The latter scenario is much worse for men.

Very good point and it's one of the most commonly misunderstood things that people who grew up in the west have when it comes to countries in Asia.

Women are still by and large feminine in countries in Asia and know their role precisely because these gender roles are kept in place. You have gold diggers and basic frivolous bitches too but plenty of asian women manage household finances responsibly and won't spend their man into a hole. It's in their best interest NOT to tank the household.

On the other hand women in the west have a free pass to literally destroy everything in their path for their own trivial amusement.

When women start becoming career orientated office taskmasters so goes the femininity and the vag dries up fast.

When society starts masculinizing women and the whole independent womyn with own money thing (who gives a shit) starts becoming the end game then we have what we see today in the anglosphere.

Plenty of disaffected unhappy women living out material fantasies and plenty of men who no longer take marriage seriously at all and increasingly start dropping out of productive society altogether.

They're damn well keeping score too. I've watched multiple passive-aggressive outburts from various younger women where they'll demand everyone 'like' a post so they know who their 'real friends' are otherwise they'll remove them from their friendlist. What a waste of money. I went camping at Coachella two years ago. Spent all our money on a tent, food, and booze. Talked to some people who did the "VIP Experience", in other words, payed a few grand to stay at a hotel. The real VIP experience is camping. Basically no sleep for 3 days, getting plastered every morning with your neighbors while playing a 30 person game of flip cup, and partying all day and all night.

Partying with cool people from all over the world, this is the VIP experience for me at a music festival.

Plus, the hottest girls were wearing short shorts, blouses, and flowers in their hair. Cost them $30.

While it's certainly possible that these women have the money or someone to milk it from, as someone who works in finance you'd be surprised (or perhaps not) how people view money, especially women like this. Furthermore, practically every plastic surgeon accepts financing.

I get that people have unforeseen expenses or debt that was the result of bad luck and decisions made when one was much younger. But women like this who are old enough to know better will justify it to themselves no matter what, often under the guise of "I deserve to be happy" and just put it on their credit card.
