This whole event looks like shit.

The line-up is curated for snobs who think a music critic not only has a real job but is an authority on anything, let alone music.

I haven't gone to a music event in a while, but I went for two reasons: either a metal show to get rowdy, or a psychedelic concert or illegal rave to use ecstasy or psychedelic drugs to some music.

An event full of people dropping major loot on lame outfits mingling with celebrities is not one you can let loose at. Step out of line there you'll end up arrested.

What's striking is the utterly shameless narcissism and self-importance on display. It's painfully obvious that these women regard themselves as celebrities. Hence the absurdly overpriced "designer" clothes that look like absolute shit, the stylists and plastic surgeons, the VIP passes and of course, the cataloging of the event on social media through carefully staged photographs designed to titillate their "followers" (fans).

While we've obviously experienced significant social decay in recent years (measurable by various metrics and attributable to a wide range of causes) I can safely lay the blame for this sort of bad behavior 100% at the feet of social media. Women unfettered by the restraints of tradition and patriarchy will of course engage in self-destructive and socially destructive behavior, yet prior to social media there was a natural check on these behaviors: there used to be no positive feedback loop rewarding women with attention and validation for engaging in socially destructive behavior. With social media, however, each woman becomes the star of her own reality show, and receives a constant stream of adoration from her followers/fans. Like a junkie chasing a high, over time women require more and more validation through social media, which forces them to continually up the ante with what sort of pictures and statuses they post. At a certain point they end up like these women, desperately cataloging their Coachella festival experience on social media for the dopamine hit of feeling like a celebrity for a weekend.

Just ask yourself this question: how many women would spend $20k to attend Coachella if they weren't allowed to take any pictures while there or tell anyone about it on social media?

Zero. Literally none. The event means absolutely nothing to them. Being seen at the event and feeling like somebody important on social media, however...that's priceless.

Because it started out as a sort of anti-establishment event, and it's been corrupted by money and status seeking attention whores bloggers, post wall women, etc. As has been pointed out. This woman dropped $8K on clothing that she could have easily bought at any thrift store for $30. Another one decided to get a tune up at the plastic surgeon just for this event. Then there's the cost of admission. Basic tickets are the equivalent of an inexpensive car payment. VIP passes are the equivalent of the lease payment on the attendees E-class.

It's not that they're doing what they're doing. It's that they're being celebrated for what they're doing. As if to say you're a nobody if you're not dropping $20K on a weekend for YOLO.

Girls go to festivals to do drugs and fuck. As a tenet in game, the more girls spend to prepare for it (their investment in the event), the more likely they are going to get reallllyyy high and fuck multiple guys.

As for Coachella being corrupted by girls from its anti-establishment roots: girls are not the reason it was corrupted. To the contrary, that's the creative destruction element of capitalism. Everything underground becomes commercialized. Just like all the hipster artist places in town become $$$ when people with money want to be cool and buy places there (see: Brooklyn). Don't hate the player, hate the game.

VIP passes are expensive but it's all relative. They're about $1000. That's like bottle service at a club, but you get 3 days of festival fun. It's also about the same as 3-day weekend at a ski resort if you travel to go skiing with friends. It's basically a vacation. Vacation's cost money.

I've never been, but I'd love to go. Same with Burning Man. The thing is with all these types of event the more you "think" about it and analyze it as a comparison to an ideal rather than just go with the flow and accept it for what it is you're shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to you being able to have fun and get laid.

For our crowd, you're right that we shouldn't care what these women do. But for men who have been brought up in Blue Pill Media/School System/Fantasyland, this will matter if they decide to wife up a woman like this.

I usually have a good expectation of Lifetime Notch Count by noticing who still posesses The Feminine Light.
