why did this thread become specifically about asians though?

i dont see anything wrong with the a4 waist challenge, and certainly i feel that those who pass will generally be preferable to those who dont.

but to be used as some kind benchmark or standard is harsh imo. part of the reason this thread was derailed is because of the divisiveness resulting from a failure to see any kind of middle ground between this a4 thinness and chubster thickness. lets look at a few pictures:










all at least 7.5 on the scale for me. i think it is clear these women would not pass the a4 challenge, but they are obviously not bloated chubsters like here:

for the latter group, their size is unacceptable and would not even rate 6 on the scale for me, and it seems to me others have the same feeling.

the point is that the a4 challenge excludes some women who are generally attractive (and not fat!!), even by the harshest standards, thus it doesnt seem to be an efficient screening tool
