My oath we have deer in Australia. In some areas they're so thick there's a push to have them changed from a "game" animal to a "pest" animal.
Never seen one here until a few days ago. We've been here for 100 years, as far as I know it's the first wild deer on this land in human history.

There are also rabbits and more rabbits, and foxes.

We have deer in the area but the locations they range are pretty specific and since I rarely drive in those particular areas I'm yet to see one.

But yeah, they're a pest in some areas and deer-hunting is alive and well in Australia. I'd like to get into it when time permits.

As for the redcoats, don't ask a Tasmanian about the fucking foxes...
