First, Stallone's Demolition Man. Go to IMDB for the synopsis, but it goes like this: present day (from the 90's) cop wakes up in retarded future where sex is forbidden, curse words are instantly fined and people hear and sing old advertisement songs. Doesn't looks so ridiculous now, does it?

Second, 21st Century Digital Boy by Bad Religion. Great song, even better lyrics. And a bit depressing considering how true they become:

In all honesty, you could make a whole thread about Bad Religion lyrics. They always sound cynical at their present time, yet become prescient looking back years later.

Shitty title but the first thing that I thought of when I read the OP was the seashells, Manly500 beat me to it. Wesley Snipes was pretty bad ass in the movie but Dennis Leary was my favourite.

It's funny cause today you look everywhere and you see betas everywhere like in Demo Man.

It's funny how this film came round for me. Back in 2001 when I was young and didn't know who George Orwell was I saw it as simple, dated, 90's entertainment that was almost too embarrassing to have in your collection. I returned to it recently and was amazed how much more modern it appeared now than back then. It's still a straight forward, masculine action flick but now it makes much more sense to me and I enjoy it a lot more than I did before.

Big fan, solid action movie that's also pretty funny. There are definitely some references to the 1984/Brave New World socialist dystopias in this movie, it's cleverer than many realize. For example Bullock's character is named Lenina Huxley.

Your posts are yet another example of how this forum is such a great place.
It made me dig into the vault of my teenage memories. I still keep this record perfectly preserved even though have listened to it a few hundred times. I was already familiar with their body of work, and loved the anti-establishment and down to heart demeanour of these (already back then) old school punk rockers. The crisp sound of the three gitars in "The process of belief" (was the first time I heared it in other than a power-metal band) combined with the drum fills of Brooks Wackerman, and Greg's amazing voice, made it one of the best rock albuns of the 2000's.

Very refreshing to hear it again, now with a maturity to fully understand the extent of their lyrics, wich was not the case back then.

"Broken" was another great song, and kind of a redpill manifesto in my interpretation.

Demolition Man is easily the greatest movie of the 1990s, followed closely by Con Air and Streetfighter. It could have only been better if Wesley Snipes' character was played by Van Damme, the actor of a generation.

You guys cracked the mystery of the sea shells, but I've never been able to figure out what that lump is on Van Damme's head.

One can't go wrong with Bad Religion. Pennywise, Silent Majority, there are countless others worth checking out. Punk Rock I hold dear to this day, one of the greatest genres of music, it made me start question things and was the beginning of a path that eventually brought me to a place like ROK.
