One of the most famous internet memes is a tale that the sport of Golf was named for the original menz club who played the game had a sign on the club house: Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden.

Many people say this is not true. The PGA itself says it's a lie...but even if it were true, we know they'd deny just to conform to our modern mass media fem-driven culture.

I don't know why this is so hard to believe. Back in the bad old dayz of teh Paytreearkee, Men's clubs were common gathering places.

There are no all male spaces I'm a part of IRL. Lurking here for awhile now is what brought this fact to my attention.

I've come to the conclusion that the loss of these all male spaces where men could shoot the breeze and discuss things like philosophy and teh womynz is one of the key fronts that was attacked by the social engineers of our culture in their efforts to spread the blue pill - feminine imperative of our Brave New World Order.

I've been lurking here for quite some time, just kept forgetting to register on the 1st of the month several times. I finally remembered last night.

Glad to have finally signed up and enter this No Gurlz Allowed clubhouse!

I've been a golfer for 15 years and one of things I've always liked about it was it's adult, men's only kind of vibe and setting. Its very old world, but the game of golf has changed for the worse as the rest of our culture has changed for the worse.

Country clubs used to be refuges where successful men could network and get away from the stress of their busy lives - that's starting to change and its a shame.

They have destroyed the all male spaces while women still enjoy many female only spaces. The Barber Shop, the Tavern Pub, and the Clubhouse were indeed the two most influential guy spots where Men could enjoy solace, network and relax. They have destroyed those while spots while in the other end promoting Male only spots like Health Clubs which if you research where beacons for homosexuality and were spots that strait hetero men did not venture too.

Went golfing with my friends today. Had a good time. But also, it was a decent workout. My shoulders and back are sore now.

It sounds like you are running from pussy. When the boys and I were having man talk, it is usually over working on a Harley. If one of the women folk came out to the garage to interrupt, they heard "We're fucking talking here!". Then she goes back in until we're done. In a bar if we are congregated over a picture and the waitress starts aggravating, she gets a watered down version. It's called putting them in their place. No need to run off and hide from pussy. I was explaining what I thought the OP meant. I've not ever been in all male club nor have I ever sought to seek one out and join. Well, okay that's only half true. I am part of one all men's club: military school. Still I compensate on weekends by messing with Au Pairs when I'm allowed to leave.

I'm more against females coming into "all-male spaces" on the grounds of when they try to change the said all male space and fuck it up in the process.

Does that make more sense?

I know what you're saying Wald. Women encroaching on all male territory is bullshit, and a problem, but it has been ongoing and an unfortunate change of the times. I think those old clubs were started for married men to get away from their wives. The times where men were under different social rules and were expected to be married. Before that, perhaps colonial times, they may have been for men to meet and pontificate.

These days they aren't necessary in my opinion. It's best to meet women on common ground and dominate. Let me, Fisto, and Emech sit at a table in a bar and let snooty bitches come up starting shit. It'd be a month before they showed their faces in public again.

Senior members could have keys.

Monthly membership would be enough to cover rent, and keep the place clean.

Pool table, bar, cigars, couches.

You go there to pregame or get out of the house.

Have your business meetings there. Or just meet up with buddies.

I think that would be cool as hell and I think when I get back I'm going to see about finding a space.
