Ok so I am planning a 1-2 week trip to Minsk, Belarus for the start of March.

I am staying in Poland and of course will visit the embassy to process a visa application form. I need to get an invitation letter from a hotel that I book. Does anyone know of a good website where I can book a decent hotel at a reasonable price in a good area in Minsk where all the invitation letter stuff is taken care of?

Ideally I wanted to do air b and b in Belarus like I always do usually but apparently getting the whole invitation thing is such a pain.

I was also thinking of doing a beginner Russian course (2 weeks maybe) - does anyone know of a website where I could integrate the course with an apartment which would also be willing to do the invitation letter stuff?

Any advice would be VERY much appreciated.

Yep, I gave up on airnb as well when I was visiting Minsk last year. Not sure what local would want to give you a letter of invitation as they would also have to visit the local immigration office to submit the paperwork. Just pay up a bit and use a tourism service to book a hotel for you. This is the site I used:

I used these guys a couple years ago. 50€ and they did the invitation letter.
Can not vow for the appartments because I did not made it there, but the Visa was issued.
