Passing an amendment now is probably harder than any time in history. Gonna suck if it comes to that!

That is precisely why the left abhors a justice like Antonin Scalia. They know very well that there is not nearly enough general public support for their radical vision of the New America to get an amendment passed. The only way they can advance their progressive ideology is by having justices legislate through the bench, which is something that Scalia was vehemently opposed to doing.

The problem with Scalia dying now is that if Obama is allowed to put a left wing judge on the court, there will be a full court press to curb everyone's 2nd amendment rights as the lefties have been trying to do for years. Think about, your right to self protection could quite literally boil down to whether or not Bitch McConell will hold strong and not allow a vote on an Obama nominated judge. The way I think of conservatism is that it is emotional. Males are conservatives by nature and tend to create structure. You have a tendency for conservatism but believe me: it's the worst thing that can happen to a men.
