RE: The Syria conflict thread
This is by far the best analysis of the situation I have read bar none. If you only read one further article on the affair read this:

http://thesaker.is/a-multi-level-analysi...sequences/

Snippets:

Legal aspects of the attack:

The US attack happened in direct violation of US law, of international law and of the UN charter. First, I would say that there is strong legal evidence that the US attack violated the US Constitution, Presidential War Powers Act and the 2001 Authorization of Military Force (AUMF) resolution. But since I don’t really care about this aspect of Trump’s criminal behavior, I will just refer you to two pretty good analyses of this issue (see here and here) and just simply summarize the argument of those who say that what Trump did was legal. It boils down to this: “yeah, it’s illegal, but all US Presidents have been doing it for so long that they have thereby created a legal precedent which, uh, makes it legal after all“. I don’t think this kind of “defense” is worthy of a reply or rebuttal. So now let’s turn to international law.

Most people think that crimes against humanity or genocide must be the ultimate crime under international law. They are wrong. The ultimate crime is aggression. This is the conclusion of the Nuremberg Trial on this topic:

To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.

So, following the long and prestigious list of other US Presidents before him, Donald Trump is now a war criminal. In fact, he is a “supreme war criminal”. It only took him 77 days to achieve this status, probably some kind of a record.

As for the UN Charter, at least for articles (1, 2, 33, 39) ban the kind of aggression the USA took against Syria.

I think that there is no need to dwell on the total illegality of this attack. I would just underscore the supreme irony of a country basically built by and run by lawyers (just see how many of them there are in Congress) whose general population seems to be totally indifferent to the fact that their elected representatives act in a completely illegal manner. All that most American people care about is whether the illegal action brings victory or not. But if it does, absolutely nobody cares. You disagree? Tell me, how many peace demonstrations were there in the USA about the totally illegal US aggression on Yugoslavia? Exactly. QED.

.........

Take a look at this image, taken from a Russian website, which appears to have been made by the company Kret which produces some of the key Russian electronic warfare systems. Do you notice that on the left hand side, right under the AWACs aircraft you can clearly see a Tomahawk type missile turning around and eventually exploding at sea?

How this is done is open to conjecture. All that we are told is that the missile is given a “false target” but for our purposes this really does not matter. What matters is that the Russians have basically leaked the information that they are capable of turning cruise missiles around. There are other possibilities such as an directed energy beams which basically fries or, at least, confuses the terrain following and or inertial navigation systems. Some have suggested a “kill switch” which would shut down the entire missile. Maybe. Again, this really doesn’t matter for our purposes. What matters is that the Russian have the means to spoof, redirect or destroy US cruise missiles. It sure appears to be that for the first time these systems were used in anger.

@Orson The war powers clause is in Article 1, so it is a legislative power only.

Hmm, rockoman, so do you think the Deep State is letting Donald dig his own grave ready for impeachment if he goes against them, and are they happy to let him do this as long as it goes with their agenda? Has Trump's ego landed him a killing blow yet to be delivered?

I think what we have witnessed over the past few months has been two factions within the deep state struggling for control of the wheel. Most decisions made probably represent some kind of compromise between the two, or perhaps one faction gets to make some decisions and the other faction gets to make others. Either way Trump has been coopted. The deep state dates in it's current form back to 1947 - passage of the National Security Act and establishment of the CIA. It is naive to think that someone like Trump could come in and take control over such a long-established structure even if he wanted to, just because he won an election. Real power doesn't work like that.

The strategic predicament faced by the US elite is double-headed. On the one hand it's financial system is broken - has been since 2008 - and is heading to oblivion. On the other hand it faces the increasing economic integration of Eurasia, spearheaded by China, together with Russia. This development is marginalizing the US and with it it's main source of power - the reserve currency role of the US Dollar. All of these situations: Syria, North Korea and others must be viewed through this prism.

Returning to your question. If Trump succeeds in his overseas actions - unlikely - then good for the deep state. If he comes a cropper then they simply put in one of their own. It's a win-win for them in terms of US internal politics.

“The world is what it is; men who are nothing, who allow themselves to become nothing, have no place in it.”

Idlib ‘chemical attack’ was false flag & more may come – Putin

Quote:Russia has information of a possible incident similar to the one in Idlib province, possibly targeting a Damascus suburb, President Vladimir Putin says. The US accused Damascus of using chemical weapons in Idlib province, which Syria denied.

“We have reports from multiple sources that false flags like this one – and I cannot call it otherwise – are being prepared in other parts of Syria, including the southern suburbs of Damascus. They plan to plant some chemical there and accuse the Syrian government of an attack,” he said at a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Moscow.

The incident has not been properly investigated as yet, but the US fired dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase in a demonstration of force over what it labeled a chemical attack by Damascus.

“President Mattarella and I discussed it, and I told him that this reminds me strongly of the events in 2003, when the US representatives demonstrated at the UN Security Council session the presumed chemical weapons found in Iraq. The military campaign was subsequently launched in Iraq and it ended with the devastation of the country, the growth of the terrorist threat and the appearance of Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS] on the world stage,” he added.

A separate report of a potential false flag operation in Syria came from the Russian General Staff, which said militants were transporting toxic agents into several parts of Syria.

It was the first time the US had targeted Syrian troops deliberately. The White House says it will repeat military action in response to any possible new chemical weapon attacks.

“The sight of people being gassed and blown away by barrel bombs ensures that if we see this kind of action again, we hold open the possibility of future action,” spokesman Sean Spicer said Monday.

Putin reiterated the call to properly investigate what happened in Khan Sheikhoun, saying that the alleged use of chemical weapons demands one.

“We are planning to address the corresponding UN structure in The Hague and call on the international community to thoroughly investigate all those reports and take appropriate action based on the results of such a probe,” he said.

A separate report of a potential false flag operation in Syria came from the Russian General Staff, which said militants were transporting toxic agents into several parts of Syria, including Eastern Ghouta, the site of the 2013 chemical weapons incident.

“These actions are aimed at creating a new pretext for accusing the government of Syria of more chemical weapons attacks and provoking more strikes by the US,” said Colonel General Sergey Rudskoy, the head of Operations.

I would love it if they teamed up and showed the Hillary and Soros tentacles involved in this.

Or if we came clean on CIA involvement in this shit and that we're cutting it out, finally.

For all those who believe that Syria will have a wonderful future ahead of them without Assad:

https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/201...s-for-200/

Libya - another greatly liberated country faces a resurgence of slavery. You can buy black African migrants for 200$.

Isn't Islam great?

By the way - slavery was only banned in Muslim countries due to pressure of the Western powers. Otherwise they would still have them everywhere. The last countries abolished it in the 1980s!

Now after liberation a thriving black market can reopen. It is absolutely halal and there are even instructions in the Hadiths on how to trade and take care of your slaves. Mohammed had them and he was the perfect human being.

Either way - funny story - Syrian slave trade will be starting right after the war.

This is a video of a US backed moderate group - I am sure that they will be true shining democrats.

Trump: “We’re not going into Syria”

Amid rising complaints that his aides are saying different things about Syria and that his policy is confusing, President Trump emphatically cleared the air Tuesday.

“We’re not going into Syria,” he told me in an exclusive interview. “Our policy is the same, it hasn’t changed. We’re not going into Syria.”

The president, speaking by phone, called Syrian president Bashar al-Assad a “butcher” and a “barbarian” for using sarin gas on his own people, but said last week’s successful missile strike on an air base there was not the start of a campaign to oust the dictator.

https://nypost.com/2017/04/11/trump-were...nto-syria/

“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

- President Donald J. Trump

This is encouraging, but does little to calm the nerves.

The insurgent "rebels" now have every reason to repeat the chemical attack (As Putin points out they are already planning it), either by doing it themselves, or planting chemicals in spots they expect to be bombed by SAA, and immediately point to the regime for blame.

What does Trump do next time ? Will he wait this time for investigation or will he fire 100 tomahawks this time?

The strike and response by the admin has given every motivation and incentive for the Al-Qaeda/Rebels to provoke such attacks either directly or indirectly....because you can bet your mortgage that Ivanka will cry every time. Cerno has said McMaster (a die hard Neocon) is bigly pushing for ground invasion and is filling NSC with his own shills. So one more trigger and maybe he can fool Trump into buying his plan

Also, it's incredible how Trump, Haley, Rex, and Mattis all sound so different re: Syria. Is it on purpose or are they just not communicating at all ?

Someone should introduce them to each other.

OK, I got that out of my system. It appears they are still making rookie mistakes, which honestly, is inexcusable given the amount of career politicians Trump employs. They really should take a little longer to respond, that way they won't sound like they're pulling shit outta their ass.

Things actually seem to be going okay in Syria since the strike. SAA appears to have captured some territory from ISIS south of Palmyra, and some more from rebels/Al-Nusra west of Aleppo city. Kurds have also taken a little bit of territory from ISIS in the last few days.

RE: The Syria conflict thread
Best evidence is from Seymour Hersh, one of the last investigative journalists out there. You'll never have 100% concrete evidence that it was a hoax or that someone else did it. But keep in mind that the evidence saying Assad did it comes largely from the mouths of globalists with a clear agenda.

In today's climate people (especially those in positions of power) never ever admit they were wrong. They never acknowledge another argument as valid. And people will lie to push their agenda, regardless of the harm it does.

Even if you were to find a tape of jihadi John sitting on a pile of sarin canisters, date stamped 2 days before the first attack, the MSM, and globalist politicians would declare its fake.

The only argument you can make is why would Assad do it? Why would he gas people knowing the price he could pay? And in 2017, why would he do it on the verge of victory? In other words argue common sense.

Keep in mind that you're not going to undo years of globalist media brainwashing in one day.

http://prepforthat.com/politics/daily-ma...ack-syria/

Quote:It was January 29, 2013. One of Britain’s most read newspapers in the world, Daily Mail, published an article that eerily predicted a U.S. backed plan to launch chemical weapon attacks on Syria and blame it on Assad’s regime.

The official headline, as you can see from the image above, was: U.S. ‘backed plan to launch chemical weapon attack on Syria and blame it on Assad’s regime’

The article was first published in the following directory: http://dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2270...Assad.html

Following that? Well, it was deleted. Without any reasons or justifications, the article was simply pulled from the Internet and whisked away as if it never existed.

I am sure that it was just a coincidence.
