I will tell you a little story.

A few weeks ago, my friends and I went to this eatery that has this open atmosphere vibe. I will admit that when we walked in, some of my friends were carrying their bookpack on their back to a restaurant/nightclub. (some of them goes to M.I.T, getting ph.d in Physical chemistry.)

Let me be the first to admit just how supremely nerdy and uncool that is.

Here is what happened:

The waiter/host directed us to an obscure corner of the place, far from sight, we went pass multiple open, available tables(she didn't have us sit there), instead she herded us to an obscure corner and have us sit on the cement bricks that partially constitute the fence of the area. She won't even have us sit at a table!

I was furious.

This is what i did: I stared at her when we got to the location where she wanted us to sit down. With a look of "you gotta be kidding me". Then, brush past her and went and sit at a roundtable right in the middle of the entire open restaurant scene. Center stage.

I am Doctor fucking Kahn. I went to xyz school. I am not going to sit on a fucking concrete block out of sight, because of some nice pair of tits think so. Fuck this shit. I will take center stage. My friends were hesistant at first, but they followed my lead.

I dickishly waved over the waiters and ordered all our drinks.

Nobody, i mean, nobody treats me with disrespect. Fuck you. This is my mentality.

Anyways, Later that evening some of our other friends joined us...

To cut the long story short, i later number close two chicks that night. One in engineering, the other a student from Northeastern university. Definitely not a 8 or 9. But a bangable 5.5s and low 6s.

I still have work to do...

Maybe during all that time spent in books your social skills suffered. On this form its about merit. You have to prove yourself and the information you bring valuable to this form. Expect to get made fun of, have people tell jokes about you. We are men. This is normal behavior.

Stop being so sensitive and drop a real thread. Probably about being a Doctor or your focus and study habits since that is all you can seemingly talk about.

That said, I'm afraid the OP is not going far with this attitude.

Is scientific instruction an achievement to be proud about? Definitely yes! But so are body, social and personality achievements as well. Eventually it comes down to what one wants out of life. If that is working at CERN and banging the female physicists there, so be it - personally not my cup of tea but hey, who am I to judge.

If one is getting laid, I don't think it matters if that is due to academics cv, due to being a gym rat, due to many other things or a combination of all of them. What is important I think is that the more one is prepared on each of those fields, the fewer the weaker points and better the life balance are going to be and consequently the higher are the chances of getting laid. Alphaness, masculinity and other words are very simplistic terms that can't include the whole male female attraction dynamics or life dynamics for the matter. Time is a major factor here and needs to be used wisely.
OP (and everyone reading the thread) has had a lot of wise insight on the posts that needs to be implements in real life. There is no need on trying to force one's type of superiority, including academic/physical/etc, among the forum members. What works for someone might not work for the others. Important is, as mentioned many times previously, getting out there and see what works for you.

Since Dr. Kahn included a recent personal experience about how he made a point at a restaurant, I am going to post what just happened less than 12 hours ago to me and my friends.
It was 3 of us, instructions ranging from high school only to STEM IVY 2nd master degrees. The HS one opens and ends up talking to a white girl which came with an Indian guy on a mixed race group of people. They were all well dressed and could safely assume were good schooled and while not athletic physics, were not fat either. Our convo with the girl went on for 20-30 min and could tell the Indian guy was really bothered by it. His friend steps twice on one our feet and doesn't even apologize for it. The Indian guy that came with the white girl feels like having a saying on the matter and tried to make a point by almost starting a fight. Well, guess what, his words were not followed by his actions and he made a fool of himself. Probably he lost more of his woman respect, if there was much to begin with. I guess the take away lesson would be it's that what makes a woman vagina tingle is not necessarily schooling and definitely not always.

My two cent on the matter would be loose some of the attitude, see what works best for you and come back to the forum by contributing on a healthy and positive way, which I think hasn't been much the case up to now.

I am sure she wasn't wetting herself, but she was scared though. She avoided us all night. She was supposed to be our waiter, but she sent her friends instead; because deep down she knows she was rude and disrespectful. My behavior basically called her out on it. I was even thinking of talking to the manager about her disrespectful behavior(but my friends insisted i should let it go.)

We got prompt services all night -- I am guessing they were scared and talked to each other about our table, so we got everything fast and as priority.

I am a paying customer, i deserve better treatment than to have my friends and I sit on cement bricks instead of open, available tables. It was demeaning.

Did i use the same technique when i got picked last in gym class? I never got picked last in gym class because by the time they picked the first, second, and third; i will start verbally guilt tripping them about not picking me and shaming them. It worked everytime. They feel obligated to pick me even though i sucked. Others will stood there quietly waiting to be picked or not picked. Not me. I make it happen.

So far so good, this has always worked for me in life: shamelessly going for what i want(it doesn't matter if i have to cajole, insult, guilt-trip, bully, flatter, humiliate, or various combination of tricks to get what i want.)

That was how i got the half white/half asian Cara Milligan(one of the cheerleaders) to go to the prom with me(the vice-president of the chess club).

Whenever i am determined to achieve or get something; and i put my mind to it, i will usually figure out a way.

As for the other question of if i am good company to be around. Yes i am.

For two simple reasons: I am brutally honest about my intentions, so people know what you see is what you get. (2) I unapologetically go for what i want, and i get things done.

I am really a nice person who just happens to have a healthy dose of self-respect and doesn't get impressed easily.

Come on! I didn't discount that sports and athleticism can foster masculinity in men. I looked at the reasons why sports is claimed to foster masculinity: competition, mental focus, discipline, etc. It is just obvious to me that the same thing is needed in a huge amount if you are trying to get a doctorate from an Ivy league school in STEM fields. So what makes sports more masculine then? I couldn't see a good reason.

Having muscles doesn't really impress me because i can get that in 1 to 2 years; and i am already on my way with exercise programs that i just started. I have the mental discipline to do the same thing over and over again and stick to a plan of action. So what do you have going that will impress me? That i won't achieve in 2 years datamining RVF? Basically nothing.

Some were making argument about higher T levels from sport, but then there are threads after threads by Jared talking about higher T men getting used and disposed off by women. All that high T levels couldn't translate into alphaness due to their wrecked psychology from being raised by single moms.

I am taking offers from private sector. I am a newly minted Ph.D in the hard sciences. Most of the offers are > $100K; starting bonuses of >$8,000.

I would like this story to pan out like a fairy-tale, I really would. Doctor Kahn pulls a Google, uses his university research to revolutionize society. Ends up with billions of dollars, moves to a big-ass castle with his big harem of horny big-titty wenches.

But I've known enough PhD students to know that the tale more often ends not with a bang, but with a whimper. When they realize that a PhD isn't some magical rite of passage to the promised land. That they've just wasted years of their life on some esoteric theory to get a piece of paper that no one with actual businesses and payrolls care about.
