Did a chat with Karen today over Youtube. You can watch the recording here:





It was cordial and productive. For 2016 I don't mind reaching out to the men's rights movement to establish common ground to defeat a stronger enemy, though I don't see myself moving much into men's rights methods of petitioning the state for changes.

I do respect the action MRA's take to improve the situation for men in their movement, unlike MGTOW which focuses more on inaction and denigrates those who try to make a difference.

I rather enjoy Karen the most out of all the MRAs.

She really knows her shit and has done alot of research. An invaluable ally, even if she isn't a traditionalist.

One of the rare times when judging a book by its cover has failed me.

She looks like a Bernie Sanders supporter but actually is pretty cool. Even if she wasn't on our side, she seems like the kinda girl who truly could be one of the bros.

I've been watching her videos for a long time. She is the perfect combination of intelligence, serious research and quality self editing, but unlike a lot of the MRA crowd, she doesn't seem to operate from an emotion laden starting point.

I have learned from her.

Good chat, I don't understand why Roosh gets so much hate. He always gives intelligent and insightful commentary. I'm sure the majority of the haters haven't taken the time to actually research him and read his work.

I'm happy to see this. I don't like seeing so many divisions among sections of the Manosphere. I think all of the tribes--PUA, MGTOW, MRA, Red Pill--have more in common than not. [I'm not saying we all agree on everything, we obviously don't].

This was a normal conversation between two reasonable, intelligent people, an event so rare these days, that watching it feels like you are in the presence of something amazing and groundbreaking.

Decent chat. Positively diplomatic and statesmanly of Roosh to reach out to someone of high stature in the MRA community as many of them (indeed most) have treated him disrespectfully.

Although I'll never be an MRA, I have no desire to fight with them. They just have a different take on how to fight back against the emasculation of the West.

I think if more MRAs listened to or read up on Roosh they would understand his take on things better. Sadly, they seem to be overly influenced by the anti-"PUA" hate against him emanating from the SJW crowd.

EDIT: I should note Karen Straughan is a fellow Albertan, so I am likely disposed to like her more than many MRAs.

An interesting thing Roosh mentions in the conversation is that Reggie is not very bright, and it reminded me how in one segment he sat there with a pile of books by Roosh, and yet the only things he could come up with to comment on were the same bogus things the feminists came up with during the battle of Canada: Roosh is a pro rape rapist, based on one out of context quote from Bang Iceland, and one "Modest Proposal" style video.

Out of all of the content on two blogs, and all the books, and all the posts that Roosh has made on the forum, the best Yates could do was recycle the same two measly talking points of others.

But then there is a certain skill in posing next to a pile of books, and looking like you're reading one.

Karen's great. If you haven't heard her talk, you should check out her YouTube channel.

Like Milo, she's one of those figureheads that has immunities against the SJW narrative and thus reaches more people in the mainstream. She herself acknowledges this and decries that more intelligent and articulate thinkers in the MRA community don't get as much airtime due to either being not as photogenic or being a man and thus ignored as being complainers.
