If so, why would he have to come up with ridiculous explanations like that?
Given the outcome, it seems that "I don´t know nothing, mabye I fell on her and accidentally my penis entered her vagina" is a more sensible defense than "She agreed to have sex. She wanted it".

Smart move, if he admits to having had sex with her, looking at modern interpretation of consent laws, he´d be guilty automatically, no matter what really happened. Women can withdraw consent ex post nowadays.

So, rape or not, his only chance to get off the hook in this situation was a bullshit story like that. Every other move loses instantly.
The more obscure, the more room for doubt, the more vague, the better. He has to get the benefit of the doubt, in dubio pro reo.

I had sex with her, but consensual - Guilty

To end up black-out drunk in the middle of the night on the couch of some rich Arab guy you barely know is not a sign of good decision making.
Either this girl is incredibly naive and/or dumb. Or the girls had a plan. Never underestimate women.

Nobody believes Abdulaziz' story. Not he himself, not his lawyer, not the judge, no one. But that's not necessary. Well played, Abdulaziz.

My bets are on relatively, she must have been pretty drunk, consensual sex and a false rape accusation fueled by female hamster.
Or he really raped her.
Either way, telling the truth would have gotten him a few years in jail.

This thread is a good example of how all this race and religion stuff clouds thinking.

Jury came back with a not guilty in half an hour. Barely enough to sit down and have tea. The Daily Mail buried that at the bottom. The story was written from a race and religion rabble rousing and a feminist perspective.

It's possible to get to one or more jurors with money and prevent a conviction, sure. But all of them coming back with a NG in half an hour?

It must have seemed obvious to them that club slut was looking to cash in with a rape claim against £1000-a-table Saudi chump, or that she was otherwise incredible. No matter how bullshit his story was, they passed on that and acquited him in half an hour.

Just take this story as another lesson about women. Saudi guy could have been any rich chump.

There is something lacking from the account of the "rape". IF he raped her she would have resisted, surely?

If she resisted then as well as his semen there would be some more physical evidence.

If she didn't resist, is it because of patriarchy and male oppression?

I really don't get this case at all, and find it hard to believe he raped her from what I've read. I think the police felt obliged to pursue the prosecution because of the girls age.
