The one thing I have never understood about Bernier and Co. is the focus on ending equalization payments. The media keep saying that Bernier is going to crush it in Quebec. Sure, he has some level of support from "his people", but how to you sell ending equalization to Quebec? Without that sweet, sweet Western money, I'm pretty sure the bridges in Laval are going to start falling in to the Rivière des Mille Îles.

It’s interesting how much a mother can shape a son. His mother was a promiscuous woman that had a very carefree attitude, and no concept of what’s morally right; this made Justin into a quite a complex character.

He’s intelligent and good looking, has leadership abilities, but has severe issues with responsibility, and acts like a child to compensate. He wants to destroy any sense of right and wrong to feel better about his circumstances. He simply can’t accept that his mother was a slut and a degenerate, so he wants to change the rules.

He’s in many a ways a typical liberal; someone who feels they don’t stack up well in the right and wrong spectrum, and so tries to blur the line.

The Conservatives are back in office in Ontario. US midterms in 3 weeks will hopefully keep the Democrats at bay. Next Canadian federal election is in 12 months. It's not looking good so far.

How so? The leftist parties are getting beat the world over but closer to home they've had their asses handed to them in Ontario and Quebec, Canada's two most populous and influential provinces. Something happened in New Brunswick recently, I think the Tories won or something but I don't pay attention to No Funswick, the Saskatchewan of the east coast. Notley's NDP will likely have their asses voted out next spring for the UPC, that one could actually be close.

I think that things are looking good although I'm not a big fan of Scheer, he's the one who will hopefully oust Trudeau, many Canadians by now see how much of an inept tool he is.

Scheer doesn't seem like the guy who is going to do it. Keep in mind that people tend to be contrarion and vote agsinst the party in power at the other level. Ford won in Ontario and now has a year to piss people off enough (outside of Toronto, which tends to be a write off) such that they will still support the Liberals federally.

Second, history seems against Scheer this time around as Trudeau is only finishing his first term and sitting on a comfortable majority. I don't think there has been a flip-flop since 1935. Trudeau might be held to a minority do he can't do as much damage and then maybe send him packing, or a minority could be worse as he would pull left to get NDP support to stay in power.

Third, is Scheer capable of herding cats like Harper or Mulroney?

Lefties in Vancouver are pushing for NO MORE immigration. Its been amazing to watch this unfold. Of course they only want to stop rich Chinese and Persians from coming in, and instead import millions of Muslims, Africans and Hondurans.

Canada is fast on its way of becoming a back story of history. In 50 years, when we cannot support ourselves, the US will have no choice but to annex our minerals and add the insane majority of our people to its gulags.

Has anyone walked in to one of those Money Mart/Western Union locations in Calgary/Vancouver/Toronto? It is a barrage of foreign faces and accents, all sending money to India/China/Ghana/Etc. I went in to one to send a small sum of money to my brother in the US and they couldn't figure out how to program the wire for US... Leads me to believe that most remittances are going outside of North America.

I actually see this as a good sign, the guy is a pragmatic politician. He would be marginalized had he claimed he was going to slash the number of immigrants.

^^^ I 2nd Scotian. The Canadian Government should just pick up the next contract and keep this place running if the Prince cancels. I have friends who works at that plant. More importantly, its the only military production facilities I personally know of in Ontario which is the heart of Canadian mfg. We should keep it running and just build up our own forces.
