Episode 1 part deux


1. Self Sabotage
So I left off with Kathleen.

Katie says she's not like the bed girl. (Typical)
Dante brings up some past relationship.

K was dating a doctor who wanted kids. She said she loved him, but couldn't give that to him, so she ended the relationship.

Per Patrice, she sabotaged the arrangement because she was afraid that she wouldn't live up to what that would require her to do.

I know I'm going to fail, so let me fail on my terms.

2. Caller 1 - the 19 year old Mormon who wants to get married

At first, before the ages are disclosed, P is giving the kid advice he'd give a grown man.

She wants X, but you want Y.
Tell her no, she can't have X, in a calm manner.
Be willing to let her walk out of your life.

If you get mad, do something awful, she can then feed off of that rage and emotion. (This is useful game tech for keeping a chick in check, but also for getting out of a bad situation. We'll see this pop up again)

Woman don't like to leave a man until they suck all the juice out of him.

Pressure her to make her decision, stay with him, or leave and find someone else.

Later we learn that the girl is 19. Young girls live in a blue pill fantasy land. School, college, marriage, house, babies. There is no grey or complexity.

Same advice, but understanding her motivation.

3. Married guy wants to cheat on his frigid wife

"Nothing helps a marriage more than cheating" - Dante

"You feel guilty so you start helping around the house" - Jim Norton

Through the course of this man's marriage, he's become pathetic.

P gives him two strains of advice

1) don't bang a chick to get back at your wife. It has to be a righteous fuck. A fuck you want to help you.

2) You can't love a woman the same way that a woman loves a man. She wants to hold your hand, you can't give in to those girly urges. (My words)

So I, advises this guy to just be gone a couple of days. For his benefit..

4. Materialistic bitches in Chicago

Kathleen really shows how female she is here.
Where do you live
What kind of job do you have
Where are you meeting these women

She's basically blaming *him* for the women's *poor* behavior.

Patrice brings up something that we'll see again

Women have nothing to offer a man but her vagina.
She has to get value from her one bargaining chip, so every dinner and date is her FUCKING him.

But men have more than just dicks to offer (later Patrice will make the statement that a dick should be enough)

This parasitic mentality is not her fault. They all do it.

But a dude can offer more than money. If a hunchback had some swagger as he walked down the street, a chick might be into him despite the deformity.

Patrice is saying that a man, rich or not, can attract a woman with more than just money. He has plenty of tools. (Women only have the one)

Guys only look at a chick for sex, but post sex discover a chick is cool. For women, they like all this other stuff about a guy, and they come to like the sex as well.

I don't think P tells the whole story, but it's good enough for new guys.

The punk test

Guy that robbed P came at him sideways several times before he pulled out the gun.

These loser females basically punked the caller by taking advantage of him and his money, and not giving up the sex.

So the advice was to
a) take them out to dinner, like a gentleman but
b) say something dirty to introduce fucking into the equation. Put the expectation on the table. If she's not down, close up the wallet.

Dante - She'll take your manhood in small steps

I'm not sure how they reached this next point, because it's contradictory

Bringing it back to the chick trying to marry the first caller, girls have little to offer, so they try to lock a guy down, so that she never has to be bigger than her vagina.

That makes sense, just not in the context of this call.

5. Interlude

Kathy is still on this guy and plays her role as hole perfectly.

She said there are women out there looking for specifics.

Patrice comes back and says what do women have?

In essence, why do people who have little to offer other than their sexual organs get to decide?

"Women have no skills to get what they want. They hope that what they want just kinda walks in"

For the non player, it's a seller's market.

"I have to audition.."

....

5. Bipolar slut wife

A topic that will grow later on, but essentially a guy is a cuckold, but unwilling. He wants out, but seventeen years of marriage, two kids, and she's lovable when she's on her meds...but a whore when she's not.

They go back and forth, but P ends up saying that he has to figure out a way to live his whore.

He reveals that his girl is a whore..

This is a great thread. It's been such a long time since I've listened to these. Patrice really keep it real and we are all worse off having lost him.

I'm going to re-listen to these and try and contribute some thoughts each episode. Glad to see RVF heavyweights taking part as well.

The "which side of the bed do you want to sleep on?" discussion is a perfect example of the manipulative behaviors western women have had to develop in order to compensate for straying away from their feminine nature. Western women are still women, they want to be treated and feel like women, but they have no idea how to act like one. When it came time to go to sleep, Patrice's girlfriend didn't know how to ask for what she wanted. Instead, her learned behaviors of manipulation kicked in and told her, "I want to sleep on this side so I can see the TV, but he might want to also. Therefore I have to put pressure on him to give me this side of the bed." When in reality, all she had to do was ask.

Western women don't know how to tap into a man's "primal" nature which is his desire to provide for the woman he's with. Apparently Brazilian women are completely aware of this characteristic in men and know how to inspire him to want to give, omitting manipulation.

As Patrice says, "Be better than your pussy." Unfortunately Western women are not better than their pussies, meaning they're losers because their pussy is the only card they have to play. They're completely lost when it comes to knowing how to keep a man interested after sex because they've forced the entire relationship to center around use of their vagina. Brazilian women know how to make a man want to provide so it's organic and both parties feel good about it. What's obvious when identifying these opposite schools of female thought is knowing which woman is more likely to win commitment from a man.

Something WIA and Kamikaze hit on with their thoughts was also something that Patrice talks about when he says "Women have all these different ways of making men surrender how they feel." "And I'm not gonna do it."

I've been having a real problem with frame whenever it comes time for me to become more serious with a girl. From blck's link, I slide into that Betatization curve. I can literally feel that my happiness is fleeting and the inevitable transition to "relationship mode", whereby I must assume more responsibility and start providing more, is now on the horizon. I absolutely believe that entering into this curve is avoidable. My grandfather isn't alpha at all but he has retained total power of his marriage since day 1 (over 60 years now). Therefore the problem is something that I keep repeating.

I don't know what the problem is but my frame changes and I feel that something has been taken from me. This feeling always reminds me of how my first LTR went bad and as soon as I see the red flags flash I immediately eject. It has happened with numerous women over the past three years and what it really comes down to is the fact that I don't know how to be happy and be in a relationship. It's as if a relationship is some sort of compromise on my happiness.

Having a wife and children one day will be impossible if I can't figure this out. I will never surrender how I feel or sacrifice an ounce of happiness to be in a relationship, if that's the cost of passing on my genes then I consider my legacy extinct.

There has to be a better way..

If you think about it, happiness is an insatiable goal.

Banging 9's left and right? You eventually get bored and unhappy, and yearn for 9.5's. Done with that? 9.75's. And so on (assuming 10 is impossible).

A few London daygame guys have written about this - the hedonic treadmill - and have even written an offsetting solution: an appreciation for what you have.

Does that mean you stop self-improving? No.

But, instead of feeling like you're on a never-ending treadmill because you're only looking forward and not perceiving all the changes, you regularly look back and see what progress you've made.

(By the way, I do that on a daily basis. Everyday, on a Google spreadsheet, I list something new that I'm thankful for, and why I'm thankful for it.)

I'm about halfway through episode two. I just got done listening to Patrice give advice to "Scott" who comes on around 1:08:20. Patrice ends his advice somewhere around 1:14:00.

Patrice gets it exactly right.

What is great is that he gives his advice in the context of an overweight man and the first three or so dates with random women. Patrice gets laid despite being unconventional looking, which can be a self confidence sticking point and even a female interest sticking point for a lot of guys but it doesn't have to be given effective communication.

This is what works for Patrice toward not getting strung along nor put in the friend zone. I would wager that it also significantly upped his close rate. It does mine.

Probably my last long piece on RVF for a while.

Call number 5

Frank - a fat boy who wants to stop paying for it.

This is the central point of game right?
You want to attract, date, and possibly long term a very beautiful and sexy woman.

What really stops a man from doing this?

For those not in among positive men, dating the cheerleader is only for the quarterback, and sometimes the cool looking bad boy.

Those guys end up seeing that the quarterback becomes their boss, their CEO, mayor, governor, etc.

For people here, you see that all this bullshit is mostly an illusion. Everything you've been taught, everything you believed prior was a smokescreen.

So fat Frank sees Patrice, a very fat dude, get hot chicks and wonders, how can he get that for himself.

Jim Norton says that the caller needs to be funny.
Patrice says that his girls don't think he's funny.

Jim and Dante both say confidence.
Jim then adds that how people react to him, is part of his appeal to women.

Patrice takes an entirely different direction, one that I've come to value as I've subconsciously added to my mental approach.

Instead of looking at a woman and rating her 1-10, make it 1-30.

The idea is that there isn't enough difference between a 6 and 10. If you've been in the sphere a while, you know guys will say that a chick is hard 6, or an 8.2. They get ridiculed for it, but the guys going to fractions are not just trying to be pedants or "quality" trolls - but as metal defense/offense against their own mental processes.

The prettier a girl is, subjectively, the harder it is to talk to her. As individuals, this issue is dealing with "fine"' chicks leads blue pill guys to think that their "10's" don't get approached. I've touched on the fear of angels years ago, but this the 1-30 system handles it.

According to O'Neal, rating a chick correctly, skews let's a man come at her with the proper amount of swagger.

A 7 might be too much to really deal with, but if you force yourself to break down why she is attractive, you will see that she is human, with flaws. That lowers your anxiety.

Guys typically approach girls that they deem to new lower with a lot of disdain. And chicks that are higher as princesses. You need humility for the lesser and arrogance for the greater. Bad boy with a soft side, or good guy with an edge.

When you step with the right amount of swagger, you naturally say the right thing.

Having done this for a minute, and being very obsessive, what's happening behind the scenes with the proper swag, is that your body language, tone, volume, do the subcommunicating. It's the ease of your movement that takes her off guard.

So to approach a chick on the level of Angelina Jolie, he takes her from a 9/10 on most guys scales, and turns her into a 20/30. He can talk to a 20.

The more women you meet, the better able you are to b do this kind of calculation in real time.

But Patrice doesn't end there.

Most guys sabotage themselves, because they don't think they can get a girl like that.

Over the top approaches, like construction worker cat calls are self sabotage. Jim calls them subtle assaults. Kathy says it's contemptuous lust.

Patrice says these fake come-ons are controlling the pain. ..

This is a really good call, because the caller has the verbal skills to talk to a chick. But he FEELS that when he finally asks the chick the buying question, she's going to reject him because he's fat.

Kathleen agrees.

Patrice, 265 lbs?, says no. Fat chick is a fetish. Fat man is regular.

Patrice goes further and tries to get at what is making the caller feel inadequate.

Dante, "Are you thinking that you're not good enough?"

They continue in this vein for a bit, but Patrice brings it together.

I was that guy that used to write poetry.
Then I learned how to say bitch.
Not with fear, but righteously.

The final piece on getting that killer instinct to ask the girl for the number, date, bj, anal, what have you goes back to this attitude.

That's ripe, but the real issue is that he's a sexual animal that's too much for this girl not a mental power play.

Call #7 Anthony

His girl makes him pay for sex, on top of all the regular boyfriend stuff he has to do.

Caller is suffering self esteem issues to, says that he is ugly.

Patrice fixes this one.

Make her admit to being a whore. Whatever she says, treat her accordingly.

Like the fat guy, this is another cat suffering from self image issues.

You should start to notice a pattern. Even for veterans, we have these issues that we don't deal with, and waste money and time dealing with the symptoms but not the root cause.

Call #8

His "milf" stops putting out, but the daughter is throwing panties at him. The mother is perfectly fine acting as a grandmother to the daughters child. Not talked much about in game circles, but a big topic among husbands is how their wives change after kids. For those of us who bang cougars, lots of them still want to care for children. To me, the old woman is reliving her youth by raising the daughter's child.

Again, this is a man fighting natural urges with the younger and logic with the elder.

Get out of the relationship with the older one by being honest, and the younger will find him.

Thank you, WIA. Your analysis is deeply appreciated. The episodes are so long that my sorry attention span doesn't allow me to analyze it the way you do, point by point. Hitting the big ideas has helped me understand Patrice a little more. I now realize I used to think a lot, 'what would Patrice do,' but my understanding was surface level at best. Hopefully we can continue this, wherever that is.
