RE: Paris terrorist attacks, 100+ fatalities (November 2015)
I'm going to quote a Frenchmen. This is from the Marquis de Sade:
Quote:Begone those virtues which produce naught but ingratitude! But, my charming friend, be not at all deceived: benevolence is surely rather pride's vice than an authentic virtue in the soul; never is it with the single intention of performing a good act, but instead ostentatiously that one aids one's fellow man; one would be most annoyed were the alms one has just bestowed not to receive the utmost possible publicity. Nor, Eugénie, are you to imagine that, as is the popular view, this action has only excellent consequences; for my part I behold it as nothing other than the greatest of all duperies; it accustoms the poor man to doles which provoke the deterioration of his energy; when able to expect your charities, he ceases to work and becomes, when they fail him, a thief or assassin.
On all sides I hear them ask after the means to suppress mendacity, and meanwhile they do everything possible to encourage it. Would you have no flies in your bed chamber? Don't spread about sugar to attract them into it. You wish to have no poor in France? Distribute no alms, and above all shut down your poorhouses. The individual born in misfortune thereupon seeing himself deprived of these dangerous crutches, will fend for himself, summoning up all the resources put in him by Nature, to extricate himself from the condition wherein he started life; and he will importune you no longer. Destroy, with entire unpity, raze to the ground, those detestable houses where you billet the progeny of the libertinage of the poor, appalling cloacas, wherefrom there every day spews forth into society a swarm of new-made creatures whose unique hope resides in your purse. What purpose, I ask, is there in preserving such individuals with so much care? Does anyone fear France's depopulation? Ha! dread not.
RE: Paris terrorist attacks, 100+ fatalities (November 2015)
This is outrageous. The discussion about migrants & islamic immigrants was largely philosophical to me, until now. Even though I warned others that something like this would happen, the sheer brutality and horror of it is so unbelievable, that it's hard even for me to swallow.
The backlash will be swift and drastic. I was in the US after 9/11, and the blood rage people had was enough for them to support an administration and laws (patriot act) that basically usurped the entire US government and the democracy we enjoyed for 200 years.
Expect attacks on migrants and their camps. Hopefully the EU will deal with what's happening in a pragmatic fashion, closing borders and peacefully deporting people without proper claims of asylum, before bloodshed spreads on the streets.

Quote:Shit really. Do you know which one? I haven't really listened to Eagle of Death Metal but I do know they are an offshoot project of the one of the guys from Queens of the Stone Age and I saw them open for NIN years ago and have been a fan of their music since even though I haven't had the cash or time to really be in the scene or buy a lot of CDs/online music. Such a shame.
Josh Homme is the guy you're worried about. Leader of Queens of the Stone Age, he formed Eagles of Death Metal as a side project several years ago. He's also a sought-after producer these days -- he's tight with Dave Grohl who often joins QotSA for surprise gigs, produced an Arctic Monkeys album a few years ago, and sang on a track on their most recent album. Josh Homme was the first person I thought of when I heard Eagles of Death Metal was the band playing the theater where the hostage crisis was taking place.
As the story was breaking, I read that Josh was not part of the current Eagles of Death Metal tour, so hopefully he's safe.
All that said, the lives of all the souls in that theater are no less important than Josh Homme's. Situations like this tend to equalize us and I feel guilty being more concerned about a celebrity whose work I know than about the other terrified people in that theater.
Fuck Terrorists.

Exactly. I predicted last year that based upon the Degenerate Triad of Symbolism, Emotionalism and Irrationalism, Social Justice's eventual progression would lead to Fascism. We're now there: they're open about their hatred of free speech.
The next step is simply violently-enforcing that narrative: their minds are already that of deeply-disturbed, morally-simplistic children who doublethink in this manner:
- Morality is a personally subjective thing, so you can't judge me
- People who judge my personal morality deserve to die
They're insane. There's tweet after tweet of these people wishing violent death upon their enemies. It's just simply a matter of time, until they believe they are so secure in their beliefs and power to expect no government retribution for their violence.
I'd expect it within three years.

You're right.
Don't worry though, we will be there at your side as we always are when the shit hits the fan, doing what we can.
Despite its mistakes, I will always love America and its people.
God Bless America and Viva La France.

I don't even know if it is all on Merkel's doorstep, whoever her handler's are, like someone said earlier, Soros and the like. But what could be the endgame? Does Soros want to speed up the conflict in the mideast? He ultimately wanted to stir up anti Muslim sentiment, and having Europe open it's borders and welcome the terrorists with open arms is the fastest way to do this? I don't really have much of a theory here, just guesswork at this point.

Tony,
America is many things but it is not a culture of savagery. There will be no sound of machetes being honed in the night and no one will be slowly beheaded in front of the 7-11. To imagine otherwise is to indulge an instinct for fantasy.
Violence is one thing; savagery is different. America is a violent country with many violent people, but it has no patience for organized savagery of the type we sometimes see in Sierra Leone or Syria.
In fact, what an American loves best is to kill monsters.
RE: Paris terrorist attacks, 100+ fatalities (November 2015)
What annoys me the most is that for the next few days, all you're going to hear about is solidarity and togetherness and how we must stand up to the horrible terrorists. So far thats the most popular word i've been hearing.
Then they'll have fancy hashtags.
The problem is that all of that is talk. There won't be any added security measures, border protection.
In the end this is sad and we know that nothing will change.
Quote:As I write, Paris is under curfew for the first time since the German occupation, and the death toll from the multiple attacks stands at 158, the vast majority of them slaughtered during a concert at the Bataclan theatre, a delightful bit of 19th century Chinoiserie on the boulevard Voltaire. The last time I was there, if memory serves, was to see Julie Pietri. I'm so bloody sick of these savages shooting and bombing and killing and blowing up everything I like - whether it's the town where my little girl's favorite fondue restaurant is or my favorite hotel in Amman or the brave freespeecher who hosted me in Copenhagen ...or a music hall where I liked to go to hear a little jazz and pop and get away from the cares of the world for a couple of hours. But look at the photographs from Paris: there's nowhere to get away from it; the barbarians who yell "Allahu Akbar!" are there waiting for you ...when you go to a soccer match, you go to a concert, you go for a drink on a Friday night. They're there on the train... at the magazine office... in the Kosher supermarket... at the museum in Brussels... outside the barracks in Woolwich...
Twenty-four hours ago, I said on the radio apropos the latest campus "safe space" nonsense:
This is what we're going to be talking about when the mullahs nuke us.
Almost. When the Allahu Akbar boys opened fire, Paris was talking about the climate-change conference due to start later this month, when the world's leaders will fly in to "solve" a "problem" that doesn't exist rather than to address the one that does. But don't worry: we already have a hashtag (#PrayForParis) and doubtless there'll be another candlelight vigil of weepy tilty-headed wankers. Because as long as we all advertise how sad and sorrowful we are, who needs to do anything?
With his usual killer comedy timing, the "leader of the free world" told George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning, America" this very morning that he'd "contained" ISIS and that they're not "gaining strength". A few hours later, a cell whose members claim to have been recruited by ISIS slaughtered over 150 people in the heart of Paris and succeeded in getting two suicide bombers and a third bomb to within a few yards of the French president.
Visiting the Bataclan, M Hollande declared that b]"nous allons mener le combat, il sera impitoyable"[/b]: We are going to wage a war that will be pitiless.
Does he mean it? Or is he just killing time until Obama and Cameron and Merkel and Justin Trudeau and Malcolm Turnbull fly in and they can all get back to talking about sea levels in the Maldives in the 22nd century? By which time France and Germany and Belgium and Austria and the Netherlands will have been long washed away.
Among his other coy evasions, President Obama described tonight's events as "an attack not just on Paris, it's an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share".
But that's not true, is it? He's right that it's an attack not just on Paris or France. What it is is an attack on the west, on the civilization that built the modern world - an attack on one portion of "humanity" by those who claim to speak for another portion of "humanity". And these are not "universal values" but values that spring from a relatively narrow segment of humanity. They were kinda sorta "universal" when the great powers were willing to enforce them around the world and the colonial subjects of ramshackle backwaters such as Aden, Sudan and the North-West Frontier Province were at least obliged to pay lip service to them. But the European empires retreated from the world, and those "universal values" are utterly alien to large parts of the map today.
And then Europe decided to invite millions of Muslims to settle in their countries. Most of those people don't want to participate actively in bringing about the death of diners and concertgoers and soccer fans, but at a certain level most of them either wish or are indifferent to the death of the societies in which they live - modern, pluralist, western societies and those "universal values" of which Barack Obama bleats. So, if you are either an active ISIS recruit or just a guy who's been fired up by social media, you have a very large comfort zone in which to swim, and which the authorities find almost impossible to penetrate.
And all Chancellor Merkel and the EU want to do is make that large comfort zone even larger by letting millions more "Syrian" "refugees" walk into the Continent and settle wherever they want. As I wrote after the Copenhagen attacks in February:
I would like to ask Mr Cameron and Miss Thorning-Schmidt what's their happy ending here? What's their roadmap for fewer "acts of violence" in the years ahead? Or are they riding on a wing and a prayer that they can manage the situation and hold it down to what cynical British civil servants used to call during the Irish "Troubles" "an acceptable level of violence"? In Pakistan and Nigeria, the citizenry are expected to live with the reality that every so often Boko Haram will kick open the door of the schoolhouse and kidnap your daughters for sex-slavery or the Taliban will gun down your kids and behead their teacher in front of the class. And it's all entirely "random", as President Obama would say, so you just have to put up with it once in a while, and it's tough if it's your kid, but that's just the way it is. If we're being honest here, isn't that all Mr Cameron and Miss Thorning-Schmidt are offering their citizens? Spasms of violence as a routine feature of life, but don't worry, we'll do our best to contain it - and you can help mitigate it by not going to "controversial" art events, or synagogues, or gay bars, or...
...or soccer matches, or concerts, or restaurants...
To repeat what I said a few days ago, I'm Islamed out. I'm tired of Islam 24/7, at Colorado colleges, Marseilles synagogues, Sydney coffee shops, day after day after day. The west cannot win this thing with a schizophrenic strategy of targeting things and people but not targeting the ideology, of intervening ineffectually overseas and not intervening at all when it comes to the remorseless Islamization and self-segregation of large segments of their own countries.
So I say again: What's the happy ending here? Because if M Hollande isn't prepared to end mass Muslim immigration to France and Europe, then his "pitiless war" isn't serious. And, if they're still willing to tolerate Mutti Merkel's mad plan to reverse Germany's demographic death cycle through fast-track Islamization, then Europeans aren't serious. In the end, the decadence of Merkel, Hollande, Cameron and the rest of the fin de civilisation western leadership will cost you your world and everything you love.

Nah, it's one thing to kill a couple of cartoonists from Charlie Hebdo. It's another thing to kill hundreds of innocent young people. If anything good comes out of this, it's that this is the point where things begin to change.

I'd compare it to mob mentality being stimulated like static electricity being gradually charged in small increments, yet never allowed to die down.
Ultimately having one of the most ignorant generations to face the country will be the true death of us. None of this would've been possible without such lamentable refuse of intellect in education.

I guess tomorrow we'll see. But so far looking around all i see is "We stand in solidarity...blah blah blah blah". Next will come the candle lit vigils and marching through the streets of paris and then a few weeks later people will be back to sipping wine while staring at the eiffel tower with no action being done. I hope i'm wrong but looking around that's what i think will happen.

Just read this great comment posted on article about the massacre:
Quote:Dealing with barbarians like these requires hard men acting in determined, hard ways...not limp wristed metrosexuals. Lighting candles, holding hands and cumbayahing does nothing but allow the enabling liberals to feel important. If you aren't ready to be tough and take real action then get out of the way of the real men and keep your liberal mouth shut...cumbayahs just get in the way.
