There is a time and season in many professions where you won't be independent and will have to deal with others. You will have to adjust to office politics. If you want to be masculine or express ideas that are contrary to PC culture, you should only do so if the risk doesn't outweigh the reward. If you aren't your own boss, it's rational to have some fear that what you say or do could come back to haunt you.

But don't let that fear paralyze you. If it's your goal, work toward becoming self-employed. If you don't want that or it's not feasible, take measured risks if you believe they are justified.

I found the red pill and RVF a few years ago. But I didn't create an account here until almost two years later because I was terrified that if I was linked to anything on this site, I would be blacklisted for life. In retrospect, I was wrong. I let my fears get the better of me.

Bottom line, use common sense. And to all the lurkers out there, get yourself started. You belong here and your active participation would make RVF a better place.

There was an article circulating a while back about a prof who was basically just a giant dick and said something mysoginistic and got fired.

More so - there was the even bigger story of the internet hate machine destroying an English scientist's career for commenting on the difficulties of working with female scientists.

And no - I haven't seen it in person because no is so stupid as to make comments like that in the first place.

A FEMALE nursing faculty told a student she was "stupid for not keeping her legs shut" when the student informed the prof of being pregnant, and needing to make arrangements for delivering a baby 3/4 of the way through the term.

That was 10 years ago. People still talk about it. No, not fired - the woman kept her job but faced some social stigma for some time.

I have this same issue - I'm a remote consultant for a giant tech company, working with a lot of engineers.

Sadly, these engineers are mostly American manginas, and I've hurt more than a few feelz now by being straight-talking.

One of them complained to my manager because my answers to him were short and brusque. (Because he's an idiot, and since I can't tell him what do and don't want to argue about it I keep my answers short.)

Anyway, it's tough. Funnily enough, the Europeans I work with have no problems with me at all - it's just the younger Americans getting their feelz hurt. The older Americans also seem to have no issues with me. Fucking millennials.

Funny.. I had issues with older ones whose egos could not handle CRAP they were doing - especially when I just repeated what one of their own Oldies said .. that they need to clean shit up..

Small business owner here. At the moment I'm still growing so I have to take on any and all clients, and SJW/Feminists represent about 10-15% of my base since I live in such a liberal city. Part of what keeps me motivated to succeed is that once I get big enough, I'll be able to stop holding my tongue both in real life and online when some leftist idiot posts or spews their typical drivel. I'll happily be able to lose the ones who will be offended once I reach my goals. Good riddance!
