RE: Milo Yiannopoulos Thread
I listened to two different podcasts about Milo, and am neutrally summarizing their content.
Scott Adams livestream from YouTube: (1) Has an opinion about Milo's words, but won't express them because he doesn't want to be taken out of context. (2) Doesn't predict that Milo will come back, (but doesn't rule it out either), because the KillShot put upon him is very bad.
Lee Stranahan, Periscope, Breitbart reporter: (1) Doesn't like how Milo said, on the Bill Maher show, that he wasn't "really a conservative, but more like a libertarian". Important: Bill Maher describes himself as a form libertarian. Doesn't also like how Milo played himself strongly as a conservative during the apology press conference. Thinks this shows pandering. (2) When Milo is at his best, Milo is taking arrows for other people. "Milo gets yelled at by some freak SJWs, so that college Republicans don't have to get yelled at." (3) Milo's best parts are significantly diluted by the part of Milo that's all about Milo. This is a maturity issue that could fix itself in time, and he hopes Milo still fix this.

RE: Milo Yiannopoulos Thread
Back in the early 90s, the law firm I worked for had a case representing a former male student who had been molested at age 13 by a teacher at his exclusive prep school. The teacher invited him over to his house, gave him alcohol, then groped him and ended up blowing him. He repeated this with him and another student of the same age.
The teacher was from a prominent old family.
I was working on the case as an associate in the firm. A notice came up about a one-day conference on "the child sex panic" that had a list of endorsements by various people - including the teacher/defendant.
Hoping to get a look at the guy saying something I could use against him, I went to the conference, which was held in the meeting room of a state college on a Saturday.
I did not see the guy, and the speakers at the conference were pretty reasonable, denouncing both child molestation and the various witch-hunting cases which were going on at the time (McMartin, Little Rascals, Fells Acres, Wenatchee).
Then one guy got up, and questioned the panelists' premise that sex between adults and very young people was bad. He said that adults can help young adolescents discover their sexuality, that the learning experience can be good and positive, especially for young boys who are gay.
The guy identified himself as a member of the North American Man-Boy Love Associated, NAMBLA.
Some of the more clueless priests who were deposed and tried in the church molestation cases said the same thing, how they were helping boys discover their sexuality. Father Paul Shanley ended up being a member of NAMBLA.
What Milo said was just about verbatim what this NAMBLA guy said. It's not one remark, it's reflective of excuses for a predatory mindset which is defended by NAMBLA but not limited to NAMBLA members.

Sp5, that is some fucked up shit. Can that connection be proven? The realm of gayness is a dark abyss that is beyond most of our comprehension.

MMX, from what I can tell the killshot has been executed. Given his presence in the public sphere for the past couple of months, he has already faced the physical threats and family exposure that people in his role endure.

The stats are that the rate of homo child molestation is ten times or more that of hetero. I don't trust stats, but . .
The NAMBLA website has many echos of this theme that Milo stated, that adult men can help a 13 year old discover themselves. I won't link to it but it is available on the internet.
What Milo said should be understood in context of repeated themes among some homosexuals rationalizing predation on young boys as helping them discover their sexuality.
Sp5, I don't know if you watched the full thing, but Milo never actually said that about 13 year olds on the audio though, in the sense that "I think it's good for 13 year olds to have relationships with older men." The number "13" came up but not in the context of "relationship with older men." He says he was referring to himself when he was 17 and that the "age of consent laws are about right."
Unless you have a different take from the full thing rather than the selectively edited clips.

When was the last time Jake Tapper cared about "conservative friends." What a very interesting coincidence!
Let's see if they go after George Takei for saying what they said Milo said but I'm guessing his leftist privilege will prevail. Good that this came up so soon after Milo though. Weaponized autism strikes again.
And even if George Takei is sacked, it's a Pyrrhic victory of sorts because it just reinforces something Roosh said in his video last night - that they can ruin your life just because of the worst thing you've said, not done.

I think one of the solid dividers between the hard and soft right is clearly the language used.
"Horrifying".
Same bullshit as every mainstream cuck on both sides of the fence. Exaggeration so extreme that the ability of the english language to convey different levels of importance is being completely stripped.
Anyone who uses terms like "horrifying" for something that doesn't involve someone's insides becoming their outsides is a pantywaist faggot. It's that simple.
There are some days I think that the hard left and hard right should just gas the faggots in the middle and then toss a coin to see who gets to run shit afterward.

What I heard was a qualified endorsement of age of consent laws, with a qualification they were "arbitrary" and some youth might be mature enough to engage in sex with adults nevertheless. He also endorsed sexual relationships between older guys and youth in the same stream. The full podcast is more than two hours.
He also endorsed his own experience as a 12 year old doing homosexual group sex, with a drag queen involved, as positive.
I don't think he's evil, he used to write some good stuff before he became a megatroll. I hope he recovers and finds a voice, but he said what he said, and what he said mirrors talking points of the NAMBLA crowd, you can read for yourself at NAMBLA dot org if you can stomach it.
It does not surprise me that Takei said the same thing. A lot of gay guys' ultimate desire is sex with a teenage boy.

The whole thing in question is about 10 minutes about an hour in. You can see it on previous pages if you haven't. The "arbitrary" thing came up before talking about the consent laws themselves (there was some talk on the feminist hystieria about "rape on college campuses" involved in that I believe). Milo seemed to be saying that maybe it's true that some people that young are mature enough, but that's only the very rare exception and therefore the age of consent of around 16-18 is the right age. That's what I heard.
The biggest question is what is "youth?" Because he never referred to them in that audio as being 13 year olds, which is the core of the firestorm.
I didn't hear the drag queen thing though. That must come from somewhere else? Such a comment is reckless for sure, but I doubt it was an unqualified, blanket endorsement of such a thing, rather it just applied to him.
Still, that makes you think critically about just how degenerate the flamboyantly gay lifestyle can be and ironically helps our own promotion of traditional relationships and masculinity. The most ironic thing about all of this is that it puts a dent into the left's uncritical promotion of homosexuality and the very homosexual lifestyle. Remember when people on this forum stated that gays were very overrepresented in pedophile cases?

RE: Milo Yiannopoulos Thread
This is a passage that mirrors some remarks by Father Paul Shanley recorded on the NAMBLA website. The talking points they have:
Milo: “Yeah, I don’t mind admitting that. I think particularly in the gay world and outside the Catholic church, if that’s where some of you want to go with this, I think in the gay world, some of the most important, enriching and incredibly life affirming, important shaping relationships very often between younger boys and older men, they can be hugely positive experiences for those young boys. They can even save those young boys, from desolation, from suicide (people talk over each other)… providing they’re consensual.”

The fact George Takei said the same thing proves two things:
1. The left and right are not held to the same standard, but you guys already knew that.
2. Homosexuality is a gateway drug to pedophilia OR other forms of sexual degeneracy. It's a dirty, destructive lifestyle.

RE: Milo Yiannopoulos Thread
@Sp5:
Your post and your comment come down to this: Milo said some reprehensible things that are similar to other reprehensible things said by some reprehensible people.
So what?
As an attorney you understand the significance of free speech. You and I may not like Milo's comments, but the fact remains that:
1. He was not advocating any illegal activity
2. He was not admitting to any illegal activity
3. He was not inciting anyone to commit any crimes
In fact, his comments could be construed as a public figure making a good faith argument for a change to the existing age of consent laws.
You and I may not agree with his argument. You and I may loathe his arguments. But his comments clearly fall within protected speech, as I understand it. If you disagree, please let me know where I've gone wrong.
Of course, the rest of society has every right to denounce his comments, too.
But let's cut through the bullshit here...this Milo incident has nothing to do with legal niceities. The people attacking him don't give a shit about legal arguments or academic permutations of the First Amendment.
This is about power. This is about whose narrative rules. This is about who is going to be knocked off what perch. You know it. And I know it. Milo's detractors don't give two fucks about protecting "men" and protecting "boys." This isn't about public safety. This is about muzzling someone who needs to be silenced.
This was a targeted takedown, pure and simple. The liberal establishment sensed that this guy was getting a little too much traction. And so they played the game of combing through every fucking word he ever said to find the one or two things that could be weaponized. And that could happen to anyone. So let's cut the bullshit.

RE: Milo Yiannopoulos Thread
Nobody is arguing Milo doesn't have a right to say what he said. The First Amendment stuff is a red herring. It is not the issue here.
I don't even use the word "reprehensible." What I do say is that his words mirror the apologia and justification for man/boy love which is the NAMBLA manifesto.
He made a distinction between sex with post pubescent 13 year old boys and pedophilia, so when he denounced pedophilia he in no way renounced his earlier statement that man/boy love could be beneficial to the boy.
Be clear: this kind of talk is used to justify adult homos plying 13 year boys with liquor and then having sex with them..
I don't know how much this attitude is adopted by male homosexuals, but I suspect a significant number based on the crime stats, which are grossly underreported.
I'm amused by people who were grasping at wild theories in PizzaGate yet are now defending brazen advocacy for man/boy sex.

The First Amendment is not a red herring. We need to establish right at the outset that Yiannopoulos has every right to make a good-faith argument for a modification or change to the existing age of consent laws. You or I may not agree with it. But he has a right to say it.
You're also ignoring the real issue here: a targeted takedown of a conservative insurgent who was deeply threatening to the liberal establishment.
By tossing around words like "NAMBLA," you're adopting the liberal, MSM narrative. Your playing their ballgame. Milo has nothing to do with NAMBLA and you know that very well. Why even bring up that organization? Why are you trying to draw associations where none exist? It's the same old chickenshit game of trying to link someone you don't like to a group of bad people. Anyone can play this game.
This is right out of the SJW playbook. It's shaming language and it doesn't belong in the arena of legitimate argument.
When you say his words "mirror stuff NAMBLA says" you're just using smear tactics. So what if one person's words "mirror" or "sound like" some other person's words? You can find something nearly anyone says and then find something Hitler, Stalin, or Pol Pot said and say that they "mirror" each other.
And what is this "Pizzagate" business? I've never said anything about that and don't give a shit about it. The whole thing smelled like an imaginary story, and so I gave it no notice from the beginning.
