I should have chosen better words. I wouldn't say he deserved the response based on the fact that he is from a different generation and didn't know any better. He had no expectation that a woman, especially a young woman, would respond in this way. I feel bad for him. He doesn't understand the world as it is today in the context of inter-gender relations and feminism.

If I were to send the message he wrote, I would say that I deserved her reponse as I should definitely know better. Like I said, I would have wrote the message directly and made my attraction to her completely known without pussy-footing while at the same time expecting the possibility of a completely negative response and would certainly not have apologized afterwards.

Again, if I sent that message then posted the response on this forum, I know for a fact I would have guys here saying that I deserved it.

Another of my pet peeves (which I've explained on here before) is the expanded definition of the phrase "single mom" for political purposes. It SHOULD mean "unmarried mother" but has come to mean everything from divorced women to widows with kids.

Why did the left do this? They did it so we can't judge women who wantonly have kid after kid with bad boys. Because now if we judge single mothers, they can lump in Sept. 11 widows and women whose husbands left them. Then, all of a sudden, you're the bad guy for judging.

Whenever possible, it's good to call the left out on its War on Words.

Exactly. The common denominator of all the talk about misogyny and rape gives you this:

Misogyny is anything which is not (bona fide) misandry.
You are a rapist if you were not raped by her.

A few more songs from the Derek and the Dominoes album "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" were inspired by Boyd as well. My favorite is the manic "Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad," which features a fierce guitar battle between Duane Allman and Eric Clapton during its break.

This song is little-known now, but used to get radio play way back when "guitar heroes" were the in thing with high schoolers.
