Speaking of Bosnia-Kosovo-Albania, that will be impossible too. Why, you might ask? Two reasons.

First of all, Yugoslavia was a creation of the west after WW1 with the help of America ( catch the irony here)

It was a fake creation with no basis and with no future, considering that most of the people did not want to be part of it.

The west created it and it got demolished because it could not exist, simply.

As for the economical power, Yugoslavia never got an industrial potential and most of it;s weapons were from USA and Soviet Union.

Let's not compare Yugoslavia to Austrian-Hungarian Empire.

Yugoslavia was created by the west, as the winner of WW1 against the central power, Austrian-Hungarian Empire was a natural creation over the centuries, of a dominant state and culture over the others.

Secondly, Yugoslavia did not just fall because of Tito's death, it has a very huge dept and great economical problems, even though all it's industry was financed by west, it was just a matter of time until it collapsed, as all unnatural things do.

I do agree that Austrian-Hungarian Empire was multi cultural, but it was a great civilization that gave scientists, musicians, great schools and architecture to the world.

For example Prague was an imperial city and got it's looks because of the empire investments there and Croatia today is more developed that other parts of Balkans because of the Austrian Empire rule for 500 years.

For example the shipping and arms industry are an austrian hungarian legacy.

The empire got divided because it lost the war and America with the west used the ethnic groups as a pretext to divide the empire.

I find all this Yugo-nostalgic mythology, that occasionally gets thrown around, mildly entertaining. Yugoslavia's political elites started to bicker and fight among themselves already in the early 1960s, as soon as the first cracks in the economy appeared. The country was practically bankrupt in the early 1980s, and by the time war began in 1991 its economy was completely bust. However, the war successfully masked and erased all that from public memory, and that's why Yugo-nostalgia is still a popular religion within some people.

The notion that the West was afraid of Yugoslavia becoming a great power is simply...I mean, I don't know what to say. What the fuck. Do a Google search for Zastava Yugo. Well if you ask me personally, Skoda produces extremely dull cars

Personal preferences aside, Skoda produces quality cars today because Czech Republic transitioned into market capitalism, and because it was bought by Volkswagen, which introduced Western know-how and technology.

If your argument is on the lines of 'at least the country produces something', that's OK, but that alone doesn't make Yugoslavia a great power or something.

Well if you ask me personally, Skoda produces extremely dull cars

Personal preferences aside, Skoda produces quality cars today because Czech Republic transitioned into market capitalism, and because it was bought by Volkswagen, which introduced Western know-how and technology.

If your argument is on the lines of 'at least the country produces something', that's OK, but that alone doesn't make Yugoslavia a great power or something.

I didn't mean to say it was entirely due to Tito but it obviously was a major factor.

The Croats, Slovenians and Serbs would not be much off in living standards to Austria - they are close enough in mentality. Similarly to Italy they become "rougher" the more south and mountainous you get, but they are performers.

You can easily see it with the children of the Croatian or Serbian immigrants - they may be more Alpha, but they sure as hell are almost all university graduates in Europe and outperform the local European population.

This metric by the way can be seen with the children of each Middle Eastern countries - there are more outperforming second generationers like Iranians, Egyptians, even Palestinians etc. - and then there are those that constitute the underclass even in the 4th generation after immigration. That is hardly a successful integration, but hey - integration is not desired anymore. You integrate to them!

Tens of thousands of Jihadis are certainly in Europe already. Currently it seems as if the agencies are busting 1-2 terrorist acts per week.
