^ I second that comment. Would be very interested in a datasheet myself. Looking for a place to spend the summer months in a 2nd or 3rd tier city somewhere. Originally was thinking Russia and enrolling in language courses. But, probably not the best idea.

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
Data sheet: Chengdu

I've always thought that if Roosh ever did pull the Asia trigger he should go to Chengdu, because I think it would exceed his expectations, both in women and lifestyle.

FWIW, I first lived there when I was 21 years old from 2006.5-7 and then again from 2009-2011. Given that this was a few years back, I am not going to speak of individual establishments but a more general recap of what I experienced and what I would tell a fellow RVF friend if he were to ask me about it over a cold beverage.

Yes, I do think think if you are looking for a beautiful, feminine, subservient girl to marry, Chengdu would be THE BEST place in China to find her, along with a city to live a very nice, urban life, surrounded by beautiful nature and a top 5 food city in the WORLD. Not too shabby, eh?

Chengdu is the capitol of Sichuan Province and is NOT a 2nd or 3rd tier city. Along with ChonQing, it is the premier Western Chinese city. Landlocked, Sichuan is extremely beautiful geographically and has a strong Tibetan presence. Chengdu is known as the "Silicon Valley" of China and the government is trying to turn it into the computer hub of China. While I was there I worked (hardly...) in that sector. Chengdu is in a plateau surrounded by mountains, and, no kidding, I was in Chengdu for 1 month prior to seeing any sunshine whatsoever. The temperature is great, but the sky is grey. Don't let this be a deal breaker though, because it's not pollution and an hour outside of the city are some of the most beautiful landscapes and blue sky you will ever find. I often find myself dreaming of moving to the countryside with a beautiful Sichuanese girl and farming and living the life of a king. If that is what you are looking for, then Sichuan/Chengdu is a great place to do it.

Chengdu is the only city I went to in China that I could see myself settle in long term. My younger brother and parents came to visit me while I was there and even they liked it, which believe me, says something. While I assume most people have never heard of Chengdu, realize it is a HUGE city with a 10 plus million (documented..) population. A couple hour train ride away is ChongQing which is even bigger than Chengdu, so while it may be many miles from the Beijings and Shanghais, it is still quite large and cosmopolitan. What makes Chengdu great is it didn't feel big. It was a very comfortable place to live with traffic and congestion (for the most part) not being a problem virtually anywhere in the city(at least not anywhere close as bad as Chicago or LA).

Chengdu celebrates itself as being laid back, with an abundance of tea houses, bars, parks, great food and beautiful women, all of which is true in spades. The main forms of transportation (when I was there pre-subway system) were rickshaw and taxi. It has a vibe that is laid back and friendly and is consistently ranked the "most livable" city in China, and with good reason. I remember fondly going to the bar the "Hash house" and buying hash over the counter.

I worked in an area in the city that was a literal campus of 10 or so buildings for tech companies, with the vast majority of "employees" under the age of 30. Working here gave me a big dose of the realities of working in a Socialist system, but that's a conversation for a different day. There was a communal cafeteria (great food) where employees from the surrounding buildings would eat. This is where I met my LTR "Jane", a local girl whose parents were tea farmers. What a great girl she was.... She was beautiful, sweet and loving, with hair to the bottom of her back. To give people an idea of what it was like dating a traditional Chinese girl, she never told her roommates or family about me. Definitely not a good idea for her to label yourself as someone who sleeps with a "lao wai", so I am a bit perplexed when I see guys on RVF talking about having ONS with the Chinese locals, as if everyone is screwing foreigners. That's definitly not the way it was when I was there, but maybe times have changed...

Unlike Beijing and Shanghai, Chengdu doesn't have as much "old money" so there are less stuck up girls, at least that was my experience. There were night clubs and stuff which were all a lot of fun, but that's all they were, fun. It wasn't a "show off your table/bottles" type of thing. I not once got that vibe while I was in Chengdu, but maybe times have changed. I certainly hope not.

Girls in Chengdu generally were extremely beautiful and feminine, however all of the game knowledge you learn on RVF can be thrown out the window. It's trying to push a square peg into a round hole using that knowledge. Your "foreigness" puts you at a disadvantage with the LTR's, however, with that being said, Jane approached me first and would have definitely dated/married me if I wanted to, so take that for what it's worth. If it weren't for the language barrier I would be confident in saying an RVF alpha would do quite well in Chengdu. With that said, you do stand out as a lao wai in Chengdu and will feel it pretty much everyday. Some westerners can't handle it and you can't really explain it until you are there and experience it. Have you ever had a grown man point at you and laugh for you being white, let alone black? You are a "foreigner" and they have no shame in making you feel that way, it's their culture. You're not part of the club and you will never fit in. With that being said, if you are looking for a feminine Asian women, Chengdu would be an amazing place to do it. I can say that 100% of the Americans I encountered in Chengdu all loved it.

Lol, 6 years ago? Dude, a lot changes in 6 years. Things change every month in China. It's no longer the city as you describe. That might as well have been 20-30 years ago.

Unless you have something more recent to provide input on the same city, then I suggest you take it as presented until an alternative narritive can be established. Yes, cities change, but cultures or sub-cultures can still maintain general themes.

phluff thanks for this repped +1.

Questions:

1.What percentage of girls speak English? This is really the most important question for guys new to China.

2. Many Chinese girls bang foreigners pretty easily and will marry and move away with them. Yet I keep hearing they can be looked down on. I am wondering what % of girls would you say are open to seriously dating a foreigner?

Also you may want to repost the datasheet in here as its own thread to get more visibility once the questions are answered and it is fleshed out a bit more.

I usually destroy with Chinese girls, only need don't fuck it up game here in the States. They are obsessed with my height and virgin white skin. I am thinking question #1 will give me much more difficulty than #2.

While @Scumbag gave me shit about the "outdated" post keep in mind my last time in China was this year, so I like to think it hasnt changed THAT much in Chengdu...

1.) If you walked up to a girl in Chengdu and said "Where is the nearest pet shop?" I would guess 5% would have a clue what you were saying. A lot of RVF guys live near downtown Shanghai/Beijing as opposed to Yangshuo/Guanxi so I think they over exaggerate the "westerness" of these chicks. Most Chinese that I meet are very old school and never (I mean that almost literally) see a Westerner.

2.) My experience has been different than the RVF norm. It seems very few white guys were just pumping and dumping these girls I meet. If Jane from my datasheet for instance was exposed as being pumped and dumped by me she would have had to leave Chengdu entirely or at least find an entirely new friend base. As you know, banging and seriously dating are 2 different things. I think a lot has to do with the guy and how ready he is to accept his role as the boyfriend provider. If you can provide and have all of your ducks in a row you have a way better chance. Don't expect these chicks to be blindsided by you being a player. They will make you work for it.

3.) I dont know how to repost but would appreciate it if you did on my behalf because I would love to hear other RVF opinions, as well! Thanks

Thanks again this is all great info. It is definitely making my mind up real quick where to visit in China.

I wouldn't be playing girls for sex I'd be seeing how pleasant they are to hang out with and weigh in my head how much I like the feeling of the culture and women to see if it worth living in for a few months when I get the chance after a scouting trip.

I'm thinking of visiting Albania/Macedonia and Serbia for this very reason. For some reason these 3 countries look appealing to me. Especially Serbia. I'm very good with Asian girls but I just don't find them attractive at all. I mean they're good in bed but I wouldn't want them to mother my child.

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
I reposted it under the best existing Chengdu datasheet thread, which I forgot about and is pretty well laid out actually (2014) with some anecdoctal updates, some saying the women of Chongqing are hotter, the Chengdu chicks have the most laid back personalities.

/thread-38634...pid1461220

Things that bother me about the Chinese culture and girls' personalities that I have noticed myself and keep occurring are the money/material focus, bluntness (lack of charm in some ways), and there are many instances where guys say Chinese women become worse over time after kids and as they age in general as far as materialism and less warmth. That said I have seen some Chinese moms here in the US that are in their 40s or 50s and are sweethearts over my life.

@Travesty

if you can provide for your Chinese girl to the extent she wants (which isn't usually a lot) you will be fine. But when you are jobless/aren't making any money, etc. you are going to have problems. Have your shit in order and you will be all good. Isn't that what we want? Men are the providers, women run the household? Hold up your end of the bargain, which I know you will cause your on RVF Smile

I felt the same way deep down after having dated/banged foreign Asian girls here: Singaporian, Indonesian, several Chinese, Korean...

Going to Vietnam with very limited Game time I did meet two girls who's personalities changed my mind about how compatible I could be long term with one and starting a family. They are a very different breed from all the rest I have met by a long shot.

There is just something very alien to me about most Asian cultures in a way I am not sure is surmountable. At the Guangzhou airport I saw a Chinese school camp thing loading 150 kids onto the air plane to visit the US for some academic event I guess. Either way these kids in general as a group just acted and felt so damn alien to me. Whereas seeing a bunch of Viet kids together felt totally warm and normal. Just completely unrelatable in a large way.

I am keeping my mind open though when I visit China in the future.

All of these are decent places to wife search. Very traditional cultures, especially once you get outside of the big cities. Albanian and Serbian guys can be very protective, so make sure a girl is actually single before you make a move, otherwise you might regret it. Still, if you're in tight with social circle game, you should do just fine. In more traditional countries like these, there aren't a whole lot of girls online looking for a husband. They want a man who can be "checked out" by the tribe to see if you pass muster. I know several Albanian girls who live in the USA who still must be home by 10pm or they'll be in trouble with their parents! Big Grin

Totally co-sign, albeit having never been to Vietnam, my experience is limited to knowing A LOT of first-gen Vietnamese Americans. I really, really admire their culture. Hard working as hell, sharp as a tack, hustle like crazy if they are in sales or own their own businesses, do well in school, for the most part stay out of criminal trouble and raise stable families. Model immigrants to the United States, many other groups could learn to integrate so well. The very fact that you never hear anything negative about Vietnamese-Americans is a very important reason to consider a girl from the home country. One of my concerns about marrying a foreign girl is if I decide to relocate back to the states, will she adjust? One of the strong reasons that Vietnamese girls are in my top spot for the wifey sweepstakes is that of literally dozens of Vietnamese-Americans that I know, the vast majority of the girls are in long-term relationships or married. One one couple I know of actually divorced. Family is everything in Viet culture, and that you honor your ancestors and respect your elders. The idea of divorcing for no reason at all would be shameful to your average traditional Viet girl. A major factor if you decide to bring her back to the West, given the risks and all, I think there are some cultural factors that can help mitigate that.

I've also had an ex-gf from China who moved to the US when she was 6 years old. Smart, emotional and blunt all at the same time. Very hard to get over trust issues she had as a child, plus some materialism issues (she came from wealthy but distant parents). One thing I've noticed with a lot of Chinese girls here in the US (not sure about China) is that their parents are somewhat distant. Nowhere near the warmth I've seen in other Asian cultures such as the Philippines or Vietnam. For that reason, I'm cautious about China, but not writing it off. I just think a man needs to be very selective and make sure that if he dates a Chinese girl that she has a balanced outlook. I've found the vast majority of Viets here in the States to be hardworking when at their career, but can chill during the down time.

If anyone wants to know more about first-gen Viets living here in the states, I have a wealth of knowledge regarding this group, in case they are considering a Viet girl for LTR/wife position.

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
After living six weeks in Vietnam, I'm starting to lose interest in the women here. Though they can be very pretty, in my opinion, they are cold and calculating. I miss the warmth and playfulness of the Filipina.

Maybe it's my age (mid 40's) also. Even though I've been able to bed some early 20's girls, anything younger than that is out of reach for me here and the women I've met in their mid to late 20's are already damaged from previous relationships. This has been my experience dating in Saigon for 6 weeks so take it with a grain of salt. Maybe it would be better in a smaller city?

Divorce seems to be rampant here and on the rise with women initiating the divorces most of the time because YOLO. This is based on my conversations with several separated, divorced, and still married women.

I have to give a 2 months notice where I'm living to break my lease, and I'm considering doing it and heading back to the Philippines.

I'm still glad I came here, but I don't see a future for me with a Viet girl

^^ 6 weeks man? That's barely enough to know a city, let alone get to know the women and the wider culture.

Vietnamese women are known as being among the most traditional and loyal in Asia. Where are you getting the "divorce is rampant" reports from?

My suggestion would be to stay put a few more months at least. You aren't giving yourself nearly enough time. On that note, I might be in Saigon next month. Hope to see you there.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

My suggestion would be to stay put a few more months at least. You aren't giving yourself nearly enough time. On that note, I might be in Saigon next month. Hope to see you there.

I agree 6 weeks isn't a long time.

In regard to the Divorce and Loyalty of Vietnamese women I posted a few pages back an article I read.

/thread-50002...pid1430290

On Cupid there are quite alot of "Separated", "Divorced", "Married". Here's a conversation I had with one of them. She has a kid, and even though her Cupid profile says Separated, I got the sense she was still with her husband. Seems like she's going to implode her family because she wants to feel tingles again. Maybe there's more to it, I don't know. I can only go off of what I see.

I understand this is just one example, but I don't get where these reports of Vietnamese women being the most loyal are coming from? Is it just an old wive's tale, or maybe it was that way at one point in the past?

I don't know, but that's my perspective about it currently. I hope to see you in Saigon, it would be great to hang out with you!

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
Not to dispute what you said Onto, regarding divorce in the Viet girls you talked with, but I think your sample is biased. Very rarely do you find the best of wife quality gems online. That is true in the United States, as it is abroad. The fact of the matter is that in Vietnam, family structures and security are highly prized by a family who wants to be seen as a good member of the community. Divorced women are seen as failures in the eyes of many Vietnamese men.

Regarding the age of the women you were spending time with, I think that most good girls of any country (including in the West) tend to marry young. Very young. It is very hard for a young woman to go through her mid and late twenties and beyond and not resist sleeping around a little bit. That's part of the reason why I am for the 18-23 crowd of girls, even though I'm 32. Many Viet girls I've talked with actually liked the age gap, saying it was "perfect". If you actually show them you have led an interesting life and they are still a bit star struck (a good thing in my book) at your knowledge and social savvy, you can't get a Viet girl to fall for you. I've already lined up several really sweet girls to meet online, and I"m sure if I spent more time in-country working social circles, I could find even better girls.

From everyone I've ever talked to about LTR/wife regarding Viet women, consider it a long-term investment with dividends. Just making even a little bit of an attempt to understand their culture and way of life has already paid off for me, and I'm not even there yet. Don't rush Vietnam, let it come to you.

Just for reference, I've spent time in the Philippines, and yes, the women there are more playful, especially at first. Pinay's like to flirt. Still, I think Viet's make better personalities for long-term relationships, because they are smarter on average. Many Pinays lack long-term thinking, and the whole country reflects that. Also, pinays are often deeply distrustful of foreign men because they've seen so many sleep with their sisters and friends, then leave them. Out of wedlock births are sky high in PH. Although the country is Catholic, it is nominally so. After talking with hundreds of Filipinas and also having one as an ex-gf, I can safely say that their family structure as a whole is really messed up. Rampant divorce, cheating and distrust. Also lots of lazy or dishonest family members leeching on the honest ones. Widespread faggotry and also trannies thrown in there for the mix. There's something off with the Philippines in my book. I actually like the Filipino people as warm and friendly, but marrying into that culture would be really hard for me to imagine given its shortcomings.

There is a white god factor there that I've never experienced anywhere else. 99% of the women don't pass the boner test for my high Travesty-esque standards, but there seem to be enough super sweet, loving, hotties over there with almost no competition. And the few 8+ under 25 that exist are relatively easier. A lot of them have a dutch mix with beautiful pale skin and big eyes. Some of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen… They also age very well too.

Unfortunately I have trouble with hot and humid weather. But if you don't, I think it should be considered.

Never been to Jakarta, but I can confirm from online game that many girls do have a "white god" factor. Many of them are very up front about it. Several have even told me that if we ever married, we'd have beautiful children. Indonesian girls tend to fall into two types (bland, not bad looking, but not striking) and the other is massively exotic and beautiful looking. One girl had Jolie style lips, blue eyes, long hair and olive colored skin. 18 years old, sweet and never had a boyfriend before. Talked with her a lot, a bit on the shy side given the culture, but she was Protestant and otherwise very much interested in dating Westerners. Can't say I blame her given the way women are often mistreated over there. A white man with romantic intentions could certainly give Indonesia a looking over. It is certainly a traditional culture, just I'd recommend steering clear of Muslim girls, given that you don't know what kind of asshole male relatives you'll have to deal with. Not worth it IMO. I co-sign exactly what nerdynomad said.

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
I don't know how many times I have to say it.

Saigon was the worst city hands down for relationship girls in Vietnam. They are more progressive and money oriented in general. I also think the general quality was lowest on average.

It is the NYC / L.A. of Vietnam, without the upsides of actually being a cool city with lots of hot women.

I don't understand why people like this city, for really any reason.

Hot & humid year round, absolute nightmare traffic, horrific nightlife, most foreigners, girl quality lowest, not on the ocean, other cities had better food.

What am I missing?

I understand why guys like Colombianas and Pinays. They are flirty, fun, and easy. That also comes with problems.

Mexico (as much as I am biased against it) and Vietnam are "harder" for good reason.

Could you give an overall ranking of cities you have been to in Vietnam?

I just think a man needs to be very selective and make sure that if he dates a Chinese girl that she has a balanced outlook. I've found the vast majority of Viets here in the States to be hardworking when at their career, but can chill during the down time.

If anyone wants to know more about first-gen Viets living here in the states, I have a wealth of knowledge regarding this group, in case they are considering a Viet girl for LTR/wife position.

Funny that you say that about Vietnam vs. China, because even the wiser men in Singapore / Hong Kong that I've met say the same thing - don't marry a mainland girl!! Vietnamese are where it's at, they say, across the board. You'd think that after spending a year in N. Vietnam that I'd have more to say about the subject, but I was so young then (~22 y.o.) it was definitely not on my mind. However, a distinction should be made between N. Vietnam vs. S. Vietnam, wifey material is found in the north, and I'm still personally a big fan of Da Nang.

RE: Wife Hunting Abroad
If you go back I did a report here in August.

1) Da Nang
2) Hanoi

Dark Horse: Haiphong? If I went back to Vietnam I would give this city a shot, looks nice in the pictures.

*Been to Haiphong? Share the info love HeartBanana

Nha Trang there may be some nice girls up and down the coast I have a good gut feeling. I hated the city itself though the girls seemed nice. I have heard on the outskirts up and down the coast from Nha Trang is nicer and more provincial. I didn't explore that far.

I haven't gone any further in Vietnam, I personally wouldn't want to live in a Vietnamese city smaller than Da Nang (~1 million) even if for a year just because I would get very bored at this point in my life.

There are American college towns with 50k people that are very fun for their size. The poorer the country usually the bigger the city has to be in order to be livable in my experience because there is less to do overall, unless if you are a nature or outdoor sport enthusiast.
