This isn't surprising. The Cons will have a female leader next. They are in ruins after Harper ran a passive dictatorship on the party and they need to re-brand. If Canada elected a bi-curious elitist who ran off his fathers name then they have to appear more soft.

The Canadian media is such a joke these days.

The conservatives have always had women in their party, yet they never felt the need to brag about it. The women were also hired on merit (Ambrose also happened to look good behind Harper, which was a bonus).
