RE: The Bernie Sanders thread
I knew this would happen from the very beginning, Sanders was nothing more than a shill to get Hillary Clinton some support from young college aged Americans.

Let's see how well it works, thus far I don't think this is going to be as successful as the elites thought, based on some of the reactions I've seen on social media and Reddit.

The bottom line is there is a huge subset of people who are aware of Clinton's crime Re; Emails, Benghazi, threatening rape victims, Clinton Foundation, cronyism, etc. You can't convert them by just having Bernie go full establishment mode.

Sanders, by the way, is a piece of filth. Fuck that guy. I knew HE knew this was the plan all along and he duped all those people into spending thousands on him knowing full well he had zero intentions of actually winning. He is and WAS a FRAUD the entire time.

I like how many of us predicted from the start that Sanders was a big fat pussy and would roll over eventually. It's so predictable that it's sad.

I'm starting to suspect his whole "grassroots" nonsense was just a cynical cash grab too. Noone has mentioned the massive amounts of cash he blew on this nonsense. His campaign easily rivaled that of Hillary in pure $ terms.

Now he's going to be used as a sock puppet for the Hillary campaign as they try to corral all his neckbeard and thug life followers.

As far as Barney Sandals is concerned, I am quite suprised at his decision.

I believed that he was a nice, but quite misguided guy, who truly wanted the best for his constituents. A leftist opposition to the Establishment.

Guess I was wrong.

I knew that this would happen from the very beginning. In addition to being an obedient establishment slave (who the fuck sits in the Senate for decades without managing to pass one goddamn bill?), he has a genuine passion for leftism with all of its assorted degeneracies: government handouts, feminism, LGBT, hatred of Christianity and so on.

He would rather jump on even a shred of hope for moving the society further in that direction than actually fight the establishment in some concrete and useful way.

Fuck Bernie and his fans.

Bernie's Betrayal Sparks 1000% Jump In Donations To Jill Stein's Campaign

[Image: Screen-Shot-2016-07-14-at-11.37.48-AM-1024x625.jpg]

Quote:Jill Stein, the presumptive Green Party presidential nominee, is seeing an unprecedented surge of energy for her campaign in the wake of Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

Stein, who is running her second presidential campaign in four years, said donations to her campaign have increased tenfold in just over 24 hours, obviously due to Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of Hillary Clinton and a resulting fallout from the Democratic Party.

Since Tuesday morning, the Green Party has received over $80,000 in contributions, over half of which comes from first-time donors, and half of which comes in the form of contributions under $50. Tellingly, about 615 of those contributions totaled $27, the exact number commonly trumpeted and solicited by the Sanders campaign during his revolutionary grassroots funding movement.

“There’s been an explosion of Berners coming in through every portal of the campaign, and it’s really exciting,” Stein told US Uncut in a phone interview. “There is so much courage out there to stand up to the marching orders handed down by the usual suspects.”

Stein’s social media accounts have also seen tremendous growth and engagement in the past 24 hours. A recent livestream posted to the Stein campaign’s Facebook page has been viewed over 300,000 times in less than a day. Her page itself has added approximately 44,000 new likes in the past week. Her Twitter account has over 145,000 followers as of this writing, increasing by the tens of thousands just this week, with 5.6 million impressions on July 12-13 alone. There have also been 10,000 new signups for her email list since yesterday.

Other Sanders supporters seem to be preparing a mass exodus from the Democratic Party to help Stein reach her goal of 15 percent in national polls, which would secure a spot for her on the general election debate stage with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the presumptive nominees of the Republican and Democratic parties. Many influential Sanders supporters and pro-Sanders accounts with tens or hundreds of thousands of followers have already announced their intent to vote for Stein in November.

According to Stein’s website, her campaign has secured ballot access in 23 states and Washington, DC, and petition signatures are currently being collected for ballot access in 27 others. Stein said her campaign has “many irons in the fire” and will be on “90 to 95 percent” of ballots after petitions are delivered to various Secretaries of State.

“There are 43 million young people and not-so-young people who are locked into predatory student loan debt,” Stein said. “The birth rate is plummeting in this country because we have a generation that’s basically become indentured servants. They don’t have a place to live, they don’t have relationships, they don’t have a future, they don’t have families, they don’t have a job. We really have a generational crisis right now that we’re in the midst of. And there’s one way that crisis can be solved with the stroke of a pen. That debt can be cancelled, and I’m the only candidate who will do that. Those 43 million votes have only one place to go.”

“If that word gets out, that can be a very powerful motivator for those people to vote for my campaign, and that’s a plurality of votes.” Stein continued. “In the words of Alice Walker, ‘The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.’”

The lack of good judgement of these Bernie people just never ceases to amaze.

This is why their corner of reddit produces some high level comedy. It's the type of comedy that can only be produced by the socially awkward and clueless.

North Bay Town Feeling ‘Berned’ After Sanders Rally Leaves $23,000 In Unpaid Bills

[Image: bernie-in-cloverdale.jpg?w=640&h...amp;crop=1]

Quote:The Mayor of Cloverdale hopes it’s just a misunderstanding, but the Bernie Sanders campaign appears to have left her small town with $23,000 in unpaid bills after it hosted their ‘A Future To Believe In’ rally last June.

According to The Press Democrat, the Sanders campaign paid Cloverdale a $2500 deposit toward expenses. Despite assurances they’d pay the balance, their response to the city’s attempts to collect on an invoice is starting to sound like ‘the runaround.’

Cloverdale officials were given given only 48 hours notice before the June 3 rally, and say they had no time to put together a formal contract. Still, the city was happy, even honored to oblige. Ultimately, the event was a huge success, drawing more than 6,000 supporters.

I honestly don't care on a personal level who becomes President. Same shit, different day. But as I've written here a couple weeks ago, when I read some comments supporters of Sanders were making, and saw some video interviews, and then looked into his astonishing campaign donation statistics (millions of different donors giving small amounts even though they are poor) I decided that he was much more than a long shot.

He has zero chance. Just false competition for Hillary. He's losing by about 400 delegates already and all of Vermont declared for Clinton.

You better take the profits while you can, I doubt he wins more than a few states here on out.

I strongly disagree. I am 99% certain that he will be the democratic nominee.

There is absolutely no way that the democratic party will nominate HRC on the basis of "super delegates" if she is clearly defeated in a state by state vote count, which she will be. If there is a very close vote with a narrow Sanders lead, then yes, that will leave the door open for her to twist arms and call in favors for some back door dealing.

And I'd give Sanders a 70% plus chance against Trump in the general election.

At this point I'm going to make a separate bet (equal or greater than the first) for Sanders to be the nominee and let my bet on him taking the presidency ride.

Honestly, I think the issue with Sanders is that a lot of people on RVF are strongly pro Trump. They probably realize that Trump would crush HRC in a general election, but would likely lose to Sanders (not for sure, but likely).

I have the advantage of not being emotionally invested in any of this. I just thought 8 to 1 on Sanders was a steal. I also think the current 3 to 1 line on him getting the nomination is a great way to make some cash.
