On a lighter note, some Japanese kids taking a statistics class were doing surveys in Central Park today about who people were voting for. They had images of candidates who'd dropped out. I said enthusiastically I was voting for Trump.

Being truthful in public feels good, it's almost like your tiny little rebellion against globalists and SJW freaks for the day.

The hag got most of the votes I saw, but in the middle of Manhattan that's no surprise.

Also, Paul Ryan endorsed today. There goes the last hope of Kristol and the "renegades." Now they have no standard bearer or social proof.

1) No company trains anyone anymore with the exception of a few places like the military.

2) Every job on the planet now demands that one have a degree to do something a 15 year old can do. Everyone focuses on the jobless college graduate these days but what about the jobless HIGH SCHOOL graduate who just wants to earn a living without university and the stupid amounts of debt that it requires? These people and their issues don't even exist to the mainstream culture and society.

3) The corrupt Federal government backs stupid loans and has rigged courts/laws to make a write-off extremely difficult.

I would love it if Trump flipped the script on this Trump University thing and said something alone the lines of:

"I realized that the old education model was outdated and I closed down Trump University in large part because of that. It wasn't producing the graduates the United States needs today."

...And then go on about the need to produce people with real practical skill sets via on-the-job training and vo-tech schools and how as President, he will shift Federal incentives towards the aforementioned things while removing support for things the country doesn't need (like Women Studies majors).

My hope in the end is that Trump destroys the Education-Industrial Complex. It's a long time coming.

The only reason universities are still relevant is because the government force corporation into requiring a degree for anything, with the free access to the internet there is not reason why college is so expensive, selling printed books for 900 when they could just make it ebook and save lots of money, college simple should not have any mayor that is not producing anything useful like liberal arts.

I know people who learned to code online and reading books and now make money creating apps.

No, he does not have, when he was campaigning in 2008 he had nothing in the public eye that could be used against him because the entire media was for him protecting any deep investigation into his past.

Watch some videos of him at his rallies from 2008, it was all about what he could do, he spoke very high of himself because nobody questioned him, now even Japanese media is asking about Hillary emails, he simple is not ready to be in public when the media is not playing by his rules.

The HAG's hawkish foreign policy speech gives Trump a real opening. He should start attacking her from the left on foreign policy and call her Warmonger Hillary. He should HAMMER her "bad judgment" in backing the Iraq war and the Libya intervention and say that she is "dangerous" and will be "starting wars we don't need" if elected.

Now is the time to do this. The Dem primary is drawing to an end, and soon will be the time when Bernie voters can be expected to start consolidating around Hillary. Trump should make a serious play for these voters, and his best shot at getting them may be the Warmonger Hillary angle. There are some Bernie voters who are very anti-war and if he can successfully brand her that way -- and her speech gives him a great opening to do this -- they may never come home to the HAG. They may or may not vote Trump, but even if they stay home or cast some third party protest vote, it's a win for Trump.

Warmonger Hillary needs to be hammered right now. Also, guys have been asking how to talk to Bernie bros -- I believe this is the best argument. Just say, do you really want to vote for a warmongering candidate who's backed every foreign war she's had a chance to? We've often said around here that real smart guys are often bad at game for instance. Most of us kind of fit that description - we had to actively learn.

The assumption often tends to be that people both see the world in the same way that you do and that your highly prized intelligence and logic is the way the world really works. This was something that was a theme in a Hercules: The Legendary Journeys episode of all places, when Hercules found himself on the island of Atlantis and met a woman that lived outside the city who had prophetic visions of the islands' sinking.

Yet no one could believe it and she was branded an outcast. The king put her and Hercules in a lot of trouble because according to the highly-prized "logic" and "reason" of the Atlanteans, no such thing as the sinking of the island was possible. It was logically inconsistent, nonsensical superstition.

But the island did sink, and it sunk because of the Atlanteans' own enterprise and greed, fueled in no small measure by their belief in neverending "progress." When I read Quintus' intro to Roosh's Free Speech Isn't Free manuscript, and his entry about Easter Island in Thirty Seven on this theme, it really rings true.

Highly intelligent people tend to dismiss the importance of emotion and the irrational, which is why a lot of them go into fields where they don't really have to be productive or sell anything, like government or academia. It's somewhat alien to them.

I've used this analogy before. They essentially think that the entire universe can be seen in visible light, but when that's your only tool for measurement, you miss the vast majority of what actually is. "Logic" falls in such a place.

Bereft of anything but "logic" and "reason," you'll miss most of what exists of human behavior, something Quintus also wrote about in Thirty Seven.

This is why these guys often have bad game, and it's why they missed Trump's rise.

Stephen Hawking fits the description. Highly intelligent physicist (though nowhere near as consequential to the field as is often believed), but he's never had to do any business or live outside his ivory tower, essentially. So he misses most of what exists, at least in the universe of the human animal.

These guys are "baffled" because what registers with normal Americans as either ludicrous, morally offensive, or treacherous during non-election years generally flies over the heads of people like Hawking as "common sense" or "justice". Thus, it's either a confirmation bias dopamine boost or it doesn't register at all. Events that affect the conservative population certainly don't register as politically contentious. He didn't feel the run up to this one bit, and that's a major problem in the West.
