This is partly why the whole argument about crime statistics and using crime alone to support an argument for a strong border is a double edged sword. It can be good for rhetoric, but it's also subject to the yeahbuts and aktuallys and hes just a gud lettuce picker why you hurt him.

The point is we can't have uncontrolled, illegal immigration. For dozens of reasons. The intent of the illegal alien is irrelevant.

Exactly.

There is a lot of room to fudge stuff when bringing up the criminal side of things.

-However, the welfare state and how much illegals use and abuse it, is not really debatable.
-When illegals get tax payer money to pump out kids when Joe American has to count his pennies while paying taxes, that shit isn't debatable.
-When illegals pump out so many kids over a period of time that they can flip entire states, destroy peaceful neighborhoods, and replace the host demographics/culture entirely, that's not debatable.

You can't have a strong welfare state with open borders. Period. It simply doesn't work. You will bankrupt your country and destroy the host demographics and culture.

California, Germany, the UK.

Three very clear examples of generous places with strong economies that opened the flood gates. And look at them now: all on the one-way express elevator going down to Hell.

Some people mention the USA is a nation of immigrants. But from the 1920s to the 1960s, we hardly had any immigration. We closed the door and allowed people to become absorbed into the culture.

Furthermore and more importantly, we did NOT have an extensive welfare state prior to the 1920s. No social security, medicaid/medicare, food stamps, or free housing. The immigrants who came here prior to the 1920's, came for the OPPORTUNITY. The immigrants today, especially the illegal types, come here for the WELFARE. It's a key difference that when pointed out, will shut down a lot of liberals. I've done it personally.

We need a wall but next on the agenda should be ending sanctuary cities and welfare benefits for any immigrants, legal or illegal. Then, deport ALL illegals (no exceptions) and impose stiff business ending fines for hiring illegal immigrants. No welfare and no work and they'll be shit out of luck. That should put a massive dent in the flow of people coming in and help with getting people out.

What's a the point of cutting through a wall if there is nothing good on the other side for you?

Trump could take billions from disaster areas to fund wall

Under the proposal, Trump could dip into money set aside to fund civil works projects all over the country including storm-damaged areas of Puerto Rico.

From the article:

------------------------------------------------------

President Donald Trump has been briefed on a plan that would use the Army Corps of Engineers and a portion of $13.9 billion of Army Corps funding to build 315 miles of barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to three U.S. officials familiar with the briefing.

The money was set aside to fund projects all over the country including storm-damaged areas of Puerto Rico through fiscal year 2020, but the checks have not been written yet and, under an emergency declaration, the president could take the money from these civil works projects and use it to build the border wall, said officials familiar with the briefing and two congressional sources.

The plan could be implemented if Trump declares a national emergency in order to build the wall and would use more money and build more miles than the administration has requested from Congress. The president had requested $5.7 billion for a wall stretching 234 miles.

Under the proposal, the officials said, Trump could dip into the $2.4 billion allocated to projects in California, including flood prevention and protection projects along the Yuba River Basin and the Folsom Dam, as well as the $2.5 billion set aside for reconstruction projects in Puerto Rico, which is still recovering from Hurricane Maria.

---------------------------------------------------------------

This article includes cost and mileages - I don't know how accurate the figures are.

Turning the pressure up to 11! Please let DACA get rejected.

Quote:The Supreme Court will consider the Trump administration’s request to intervene in the ongoing legal fight over the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program Friday.

DACA is an Obama-era amnesty initiative that extends temporary legal status to 700,000 foreign nationals who arrived in the U.S. as children.

Also:

Quote:A staffer at local Seattle FOX affiliate Q13 has been fired after the station aired what appears to be a doctored video of President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night speech from the Oval Office.

The video was changed to make it look as if Trump was sticking his tongue out languidly between sentences. In addition, the colors in the video look more saturated, leading the president’s skin and hair to appear more orange.

Funny how people tell me Mexicans are white people and/or they have a lot of white people. Yet all them that make the new look 99% Aztec Amerindian (minus some peach fuzz facial hair). Hell a lot of them could go to the Philippines (and maybe Cambodia with some stretch of the imagination) and pass for locals there too.

There are many Mexicans that look 'whiter' than your average white American due to unmixed Castilian blood. The Mesoamerican/indigenous Mexicans are the short, dumpy ones or these with exaggerated facial features like the Three Amigos pictured here. They come from the sticks (not specifically rural...just poor) and are the uneducated, aimless troublemakers that make up the more recent waves of Mexicans that come here in search of cash, beer, and fun. They work to get drunk and beat up their dumpy common-law wives.

When you watch a telenovela with gorgeous, striking females, its the former upper-echelon of Mexican society you're seeing there.

When you read about a '98 Ford Expedition overturning on the freeway, ejecting twelve unbelted passengers across a grassy median and the Highway Patrol 'suspects alcohol may have been involved,' its these Central Americans - more than likely 'white trash' Mexicans or Guatemalans/Hondurans.

The wall was breached by industrial tools and military personnel who took their time. If you think some group of illegals are going to cut into a steel+concrete wall you must be smoking something.

You'll need the gear transported over distance and you'll need enough time and energy to get through multiple posts. Now thats pretty easy if you had all the time in the world and nobody was watching but there will be people watching.

You can also replace damaged posts better than a full concerte wall.

Can we keep Kushner away from these negotiations. Reading he is trying to work a DACA for wall arrangement. That would be a disaster, when you add in the related chain migration it could result in 3+ million people coming in and only a portion of the wall. Some GOP cucks were trying to throw in some temporary work permits too.

PJB lays it out pretty bluntly in his latest article - Memo to Trump: Declare an Emergency:

Quote:Trump should declare a national emergency, shift funds out of the Pentagon, build his wall, open the government and charge Democrats with finding excuses not to secure our border because they have a demographic and ideological interest in changing the face of the nation.

For the larger the share of the U.S. population that requires welfare, the greater the need for more social workers, and the more voters there will be to vote to further grow the liberal welfare state.

The more multiracial, multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual America becomes — the less it looks like Ronald Reagan’s America — the more dependably Democratic it will become.

The Democratic Party is hostile to white men, because the smaller the share of the U.S. population that white men become, the sooner that Democrats inherit the national estate.

The only way to greater “diversity,” the golden calf of the Democratic Party, is to increase the number of women, African-Americans, Asians and Hispanics, and thereby reduce the number of white men.

These steel slats are vulnerable to sawing. There is no substitute for a real wall. It is the best solution, and is why Trump initially insisted on a real wall. He is compromising. The steel slats will require a supplemental detection technology that alerts border patrol when someone is tampering with it. But, then the intruders are on the other side and can't be arrested. It's disgusting we can't get a real wall.

Meh. The traditional way to handle people assaulting your wall is to drop heavy things on them, or fill them full of arrows.

I'm sure there's some mini missile you can put on the patrol drones that will serve a similar purpose - pulp the invaders and not damage the wall.

I've cited the Hungary example a while back. You build the wall 100 feet inside your own border and catch anyone who walks up to it. Then you release them on the South side of the wall and tell them to wait there for a year while you process their asylum application. Then you deny their asylum app. Sleepy

In a same world the entire border would be order satellite supervision 24/7, with border agents being scrambled whenever someone got within X yards of the wall.

Why is anyone thinking this is going to happen today?

We've been through this before

That was back in November "Sources confirm that RBG will retire in the next 72 hours, it's happening my sources have never been wrong before". And nothing happened.
