If it isn't him then who the fuck would it be. And really, despite his name recognition and many bitter losers that can't accept Trump is doing in a year that they couldn't achieve in decades and therefore won't vote for him, Romney got embarrassed very easily by Trump during the early primaries.



But it does make me wonder. Given the supreme importance of controlling the national political theater via bribed and blackmailed politicians and operatives -- hundreds of billions in trade deals and much desired cultural and demographic destruction of the majority -- how difficult could it be to find funding and saturate the airwaves with propaganda?

Do expect much airtime for the Libertarian and Green candidates. In the past where a controlled Democrat was running against a controlled Republican these other candidates were completely ignored, giving them no chance. Now that Trump is a yuge threat and the outsiders can take some of his vote they will all of a sudden wish to be more 'inclusive' of other viewpoints.

I hope that Manafort is having a quiet word with anyone who feels suicidal enough to go along with that shit.

Most of the deadlines are still a ways away. Texas already passed. What's crucial may not be so much the date, but the signature requirements. Each state has its own requirements. North Carolina is going to pass on June 9th and if Kristol has a cuck knight, they certainly won't get there in time. Some states are very easy, others are a lot more difficult. Florida is crucial and seems to be very difficult to do in such a short time. Ohio and Pennsylvania are easier and more worrying since they have longer times.

However, with Mittens and low-energy Jeb saying they won't run, IMO it will be very difficult for the gambit to succeed since Martinez (if that is who is in mind) has no name recognition or personal brand. Even her own state of New Mexico expires soon. They could try to rile up Trump derangement syndrome to some success in a few states, but probably not with all of them, and even if they did have some success in getting on the ballot in a crucial number of states to deny anyone 270, there's probably no money to really do a lot of damage.

Of course, I don't put it past Kristol since he is an absolute moron and probably believes his own bullshit, but I would have to think Manafort's people and the RNC are doing their best to squash this.

As for the Libertarian pick, since they have traditionally taken more votes from Republicans than Democrats (including me), that's what will likely happen this time. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Thankfully though, they made themselves look like total idiots with that guy dancing on stage at their "national convention" and debating intervention in World War II with all around weirdos on the stage.

I've heard it said that if you're still a libertarian past the age of 23, you have no hope. I was 21 at the time and thought it ridiculous. Now that I'm 28 and no longer an avowed libertarian since indeed 23, the words seem too ironic.

In addition to the Oregon poll I posted earlier, where he is down by only 2 points, he's tied with Clinton in New Hampshire now. NH went Red in 2000, though you could argue that Nader spoiled the win for Al Gore there: the difference between Bush and him was only 1,2% and Nader got 3,7% of the vote.
