The guy who was killed with the screw driver was a mentally ill/suicide call. which means the officers should have come in with the expectation of a person not prepared to obey orders. Also as far as the black girl whose face was shoved into the ground, it still shows that the officer was unprofessional in keeping a calm mind. End result is police need to be people with higher responsibility and professionalism than many other professions, same as soldiers, doctors and teachers.
I applaud black teenage girl's choice in bikini! That orange/yellow skimpy suit is pretty hot on her lithe lanky figure. I think the police actually spared her from later harrassment and a possible drunken sex regret rape. Good job everyone involved.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
So from everything I understand so far:

1. This was a preplanned event that got out of control, the DJ's tweet didn't help.
2. The other residents didn't appreciate the fact that it was getting out of hand and teens were scaling the fence into the pool area.
3. The other residents yelled at the pool party group, allegedly yelled racial slurs.
4. Teens were offended, an altercation happened outside the pool party in the parking lot.
5. By this time one officer has responded and called for back up.
6. Officer tries to disperse the party goers, more police back up arrives.
7. For some reason, bikini girl was detain and arrested with a officer on top of her. Other partiers are arrested and detained.
8. Party goers are running all over the place.
9. As bikini girl is on the ground, a crowd gathers, 2 guys are in close proximity to the officer.
10. Said officer brandishes his handgun and points it at the 2 guys, who run away, another officer gives chase.

Am I getting this right ? Or is my perception skewed by both sides ?

Actually, I think its you that is misreading that FB post. Granted, it is not written very clearly, but I think she is saying that the kids on the list pay the kid who keeps the list to be on it. So the kid with the list texts out when there are going to be parties or whatever, and the other kids pay him to be on the list and get the party invites.

I doubt these kids have enough money to pay anyone for that kind of service. You see the vid? Oldest is what, 14?

I'm not sure it was "pre-planned" or not. Maybe there was a party that got crashed, or maybe this was kind of like a flash mob thing. It's not 100% clear. It does seem to be that the majority of the kids involved were not from the neighborhood.

Quote:2. The other residents didn't appreciate the fact that it was getting out of hand and teens were scaling the fence into the pool area.

It seemed like there was more going on than just that. There was a fight that was apparently between two of the "party-goers" that security tried to stop. The residents also alleged other bad behavior by the partiers, but the truth of what they did or didn't do is not clear.

Quote:3. The other residents yelled at the pool party group, allegedly yelled racial slurs.

Seems like there was a lot of yelling and insulting going on, probably from both sides towards each other. I think its just as likely that either side made it racial as the other.

Quote:4. Teens were offended, an altercation happened outside the pool party in the parking lot.

As I said, it seemed to me that the first "altercation" was between two of the teens themselves. Security seemed to try to break it up, and then basically tried to make everyone go home, but they didn't. Again, I doubt we are seeing everything, and the video cameras tend to go on only after some important precursor events have occurred.

Quote:5. By this time one officer has responded and called for back up.
6. Officer tries to disperse the party goers, more police back up arrives.
7. For some reason, bikini girl was detain and arrested with a officer on top of her. Other partiers are arrested and detained.

Your items 5 through 10 appear mostly accurate -- at least from what I have seen, but I doubt we have all the information about everything that went on. So, we are just summarizing the bits and pieces of information that we have been able to see so far.

Basically, I think everyone was in the wrong here. The teens shouldn't have crashed the party and acted like douchebags, the residents should have just stayed out of it (they obviously have security at the pool for a reason), and the cops should have handled it much more professionally to say the least.

I'm usually more likely to give the cops the benefit of the doubt, but I think it was really telling that after T.J. Hooker pulled his gun, another officer grabbed his arm and seemed to tell him to chill out. So even the other cops knew he was over the edge.

What is the professional way to handle 200 kids running around you? Do you have any idea how easy it would be to get backstabbed or shot from another angle? You don't know what weapons these kids might have.

As far as I can tell, there was no way those cops could have handled that situation and look good.

You may be right.

But one of the fundamental principles of crowd control by law enforcement is that the individual officers and the police force as a whole should never lose their own self-control. The cops have to act professional, with detachment, and impartially. They cannot hope to contain or diffuse a crowd situation like that by losing their own cool and escalating the situation even more.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
The raw footage video, specifically from 4:43 - 4:47 appears to show two kids who look like they're about to challenge the cop, which is when he reaches for his gun. Uncalled for? That looks like a fight about to break out, and him drawing his gun makes them immediately run. The other two officers also appear to restrain the one officer (which is why he pushes the officer to his right away from him).

A lot is happening at once, and as a viewer, it's hard to know what's going on or being said. Imagine actually being in that situation with a bunch of kids running around, potentially challenging you, and only three cops.

What's really happening with the girl in the bikini is nothing short of white knighting. If a man was that rebellious to an officer, most of us would expect him to eventually show aggression. In fact, the individuals who ran away and got shot by cops led to a bunch of protests that the cops should have used tasers or shot them in the knees instead (or something of that sort). So when someone rebels, and an officer puts them on the ground (without shooting), "Well, dear Lord, that's too harsh!" In other words, these people want cops to do ... nothing.

Earlier in this thread I posted just how quickly a situation can change (the guy in the car shooting an officer in one second). In all that commotion with 200+ kids, it could have become a version serious situation.

I'm not going to act like I wasn't a teenager we didn't throw parties when and where we weren't supposed to, but when the cops showed up, took our beer and started writing tickets, I also didn't act like my civil rights were being violated.

I also don't believe some suburbanites just walked up the pool and started calling kids the N word and yelled at them to go back to the projects. Call me crazy, but I think kids will lie to get out of trouble, regardless of their race.

As far as the cops, they definitely could and should have handled the situation better. I just don't have a problem with them being called in the first place.

This is just another case of "think before you believe". You surely don't believe all those bullshit facebook posts about some brand new danger to everything we love and hold dear right? Much like that damn talking cat app or whatever that supposedly knows when children are alone and asks them all sorts of personal questions. I see shit like that posted all the time by ignorant moms (mostly single moms), where a quick google search turns up a snopes article completely debunking the entire thing.

I know some people get real emotional about the police problem, which I do admit America is becoming a police state and there is no need for fully militarized police patrolling the streets. But in this day and age you really have to use your logic and do your due diligence before flying off at the handle about the newest media fueled craze. I'm not saying everyone has to agree with my views. No one is perfect and we all mistakes, but please in the future take a few minutes to actually think about a situation before you cry outrage and demand justice.

Apparently one of the cops has resigned. As much as I am against the police in this case I don't want him to resign, primarily cause he didn't hurt anyone. I feel like he exercised bad judgement.

I think punishing cops with loss of job (in non fatal or injurious cases) is counter-productive. I want the punishment to be retraining. Teach the cops to not act in an ESCALATING fashion. Don't fire them just cause they ruined a pool party.

I will agree with this thread in saying the media is obviously using this to distract us from actual issues and it is being pushed in a dishonest way. I believe the media is creating false meaningless divisions between the common people to protect the entities that are truly harming the american people en masse. Now it's racially charged police brutality, previous contenders were gay marriage, terrorism, welfare queens, crack babies. I think the elites wanted the next fight to be over transgendered people, but noone is seriously taking a side opposing them.

As overzealous as cops have been slowly getting (especially the militarization of police), I don't think this is a great example of it. Doesn't have much racism to it either that I can see.

I haven't seen a single thing that hasn't been explained or is easily observable as being justified. It does look aggressive how he brings her head to the sidewalk but it looks like he hurt her ego a lot more than her person. I await more evidence on that, but it just looks inflammatory at first glance.

I'm surprised this is even blowing up. Looks like a bunch of kids being idiots (running from the cops, talking shit to them, not listening to basic commands to sit/stay put so the cops can get the situation sorted, and then making threatening moves/aggressively approaching the cop who is outnumbered. While the cop didn't completely keep his cool, he came far from losing it and overall he was pretty respectful in the face of some massive disrespect from the kids.

Listen to the kids tell him "but we just got here" as if the cop didn't "just get there" and isn't just trying to get the situation under control. The cop even explains this to them relatively calmly considering those two guys threatened towards him enough to have drawn and then holstered his gun.

I'm not a fan of police overreach at all, but this isn't it.

Fuck that. In a free society where people are allowed wide berth to do what they'd like the price of stupid should be extremely high.

If you're willing to pull a knife, screwdriver, or other weapon on police officers I'd rather pay them to put you in the ground than pay the prison system $50,000+ /year to house you. Degeneracy is running rampant in America and if you're part of this site and still not capable of seeing that and blaming the police instead of the degenerates then there's nothing I or anyone else can do to convince you.

The black girl got her head put in the grass because she wasn't listening to the lawful commands of the officer. No doubt her parents taught her she's a victim since the day she was born. Seems like your parents preached to you the same and the opportunity to get University paid for with an additional stipend after being paid a higher salary than the national average still wasn't enough for you to stop playing the "victim / race-baiting" card.

As I said earlier, I think pulling the gun on the guy was reasonable.

I think the cop initially escalated the situation, which I do criticize, but if people are coming up to a cop like that, he should pull out the gun.

So I just read that the cop resigned. I actually think that was an overreaction by the police department. Basically, they threw the cop under the bus, especially given light to the new information others have mentioned.

I don't appreciate cops being dicks but no one died unreasonably.
I think the cop might have let things get out of hand and over did it with throwing the girl around but I don't think he should have been fired/"resigned".

I think the more reasonable response would be suspension without pay for a month or two and training in deescalating conflicts.

Two cops with guns vs one guy with a screwdriver and you think the guy with a screwdriver posed such a threat that it demanded execution? Do you guys really believe this shit? I didn't even see the guy making any stabbing motions with it. He barely took a step forward before he was shot multiple times. Don't they carry mace and tazers for situations like this? When we saw that incident in Arizona with that large family in the van, they actually assaulted the cops and the cops reacted with tazers and pepper spray. Shot only got fired when they struggled to grab the officer's gun.

I think to put things into perspective we need to see how it is in other countries similar to ours. People in other Western countries are really taken aback when they see things like this because their cops are not nearly as aggressive. I doubt a cop would straight shoot someone with a screwdriver in Canada, France or Germany.

Just a couple of comments on this post:

1. If a cops tells someone to drop a dangerous instrument that can seriously injure or possibly kill that officer, why should the cop have to wait for the aggressor to "make stabbing motions"? It only takes ONE stab to kill you. I wouldn't wait.

2. A maced person can still come at you? If you don't believe this, go out and purchase some pepper spray, spray yourself and see if it paralyzes your arms and legs. Oh ya, you can still see even though you've been peppered. Your eyes will be runny and you may blink a lot, but you don't go blind.

You ever see the movie "Untouchables"? where the guy pulls out a knife and Sean Connery pulls out a gun and says something to the effect, ".... you don't bring a knife to a gunfight". Well, you don't bring a taser to a fight with a weapon. If you know anything about tasers, you know that they shoot out 2 prongs. The further you are away from someone, the greater the chances of one of those prongs not making contact. The type of clothing someone wears also effects the probability of prong contact. Both prongs need to make contact to complete the electrical circuit(electricity 101). It is not recommended you use a taser on someone with a weapon because if the prongs do not take, Your taser is useless and you better hope you can pull your gun out in time to stop that aggressor.

Tasers are for use against unarmed individuals.

Him resigning is partly due to the Police Chief being a bitch and not standing behind his officers. The problem with chiefs in general is that they are too beholden to politicians. The problem with elected sheriffs, meanwhile, is that they can go nuts with power.

Hard to find a happy medium, it seems.

The cops lawyer mentioned that the cop had dealt with two separate suicide incidents that day and it had affected him. The goal was give some context and create some sympathy. The news folks gave him no mercy with that excuse. One guy said it is part of the job and if you can't handle that you can't handle the job. I do wonder how many people are truly able to deal with two suicides in a day?

If it had been a woman officer that suicide comment would have been fine and everyone would be so understanding. It is getting out of hand the standards placed on certain groups of people by others who could never meet such standards.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
A high school principal in Miami has been fired after posting a comment on a Miami Herald news story about this incident.

The comment in full: "He did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life. I commend him for his actions."

Quote:The principal of North Miami Senior High School has lost his job over his Facebook comment defending the Texas police officer caught on video pushing a teen girl to the ground in an incident at a community pool.

Alberto Iber's comment had defended the officer seen in a video pushing a 15-year-old girl to the ground and drawing his gun on other black teens following a pool party in McKinney, a Dallas suburb.

"He did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life," Iber posted on a Miami Herald story. "I commend him for his actions."

Iber was removed from the position and replacement will be named soon, Miami-Dade Schools officials said in a statement Wednesday.

"Miami-Dade County Public Schools employees are held to a higher standard, and by School Board policy, are required to conduct themselves, both personally and professionally, in a manner that represents the school district’s core values," the statement said.

Iber is still employed and was assigned to administrative duties until he is reassigned, officials said.

"Judgment is the currency of honesty," Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said in a statement. "Insensitivity – intentional or perceived – is both unacceptable and inconsistent with our policies, but more importantly with our expectation of common sense behavior that elevates the dignity and humanity of all, beginning with children."

Just a friendly reminder to watch what you say, and which opinions you express. You are being watched.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
CH, of course, has posted his requisite slant on the issue. Very tongue-in-cheek.

https://heartiste.wordpress.com/2015/06/...ite-devil/

Quote:Whenever you read a news story or watch a conveniently edited video seemingly demonstrating a BadWhite cop injudiciously restraining a nonwhite Being of Light, you can bet nine out of ten times there’s a mischievous backstory that completely undermines the GoodWhite Narrative™™™. And yet again that truism appears to be the operating premise in the latest Black Angel, White Devil imbroglio. (That sound you hear is the rapid deflation of the Talented Tenth’s hope in the Untalented Ninetieth’s capacity to resist Narrative self-sabotage.)

A reader summarizes the untold full story of the McKinney, Texas arrest, when Vibrancy rudely interrupted Poolside Time.

The clusterfuck comes into play here when a non-resident, Tatiana Rhodes (further referred to as “Princess Dindu Nuffins”) and her mother decided to organize and promote an event w/DJ and pool party at the park area of Craig Ranch Subdivision, in McKinney, TX. Neither Princess Dindu Nuffins and mother Dindu Nuffins obtained permission, nor paid to rent the facility for their party that was promoted on Twitter which obviously would solicit participation from the free-shit army…Princess Dindu Nuffins claims a promotion business and apparently this event was her baby and it provided her another avenue to promote another event that would sell tickets in advance of said event. What better way to keep overhead on the cheap by taking over a privately controlled neighborhood park without residents nor neighborhood security being aware of until the free shit army arrived in car-loads to take over, climbing fences and generally bullying their way into the scene in total defiance of residents questioning what was happening in their own community.

Did you know the white officer involved in this Tom Wolfe-ian fiasco was forced to resign, practically at gunpoint? (He has received numerous death threats). But, you know, the boylets at Vox will never stop telling you about the blessings of Diversity from their sharply appointed, 99% gentrified open-air offices and African art-splattered condos, complete with rooftop pool ten stories above the howling mob.

Let’s cut to the bone. A large minority, perhaps a majority, of black Americans are incapable of civilized behavior to the standard of white norms without a strong pimp hand to keep them in line. Choke on this, Tim “My Faggot Ass Bleeds Pathogenic Phony Antiracism Altruism” Wise.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
Blogger Henry Dampier had an interesting response to it:

Quote:Not Your Pool

Quote:From our responsible friends at Vox, we learn that private property is merely an expression of racism.

The Cathedral gets to win this one because the people who would otherwise want to defend private property are entirely hamstringed by the ideology and legal structure of civil rights. Centrist and left-leaning libertarians in particular, who might be inclined to defend the rights of suburbanites to maintain an exclusive place to themselves, are instead pushed by their prior ideological commitments to defend the raucuous mob.

Why exactly should anyone give a rotten dime to the Cato Institute if they’re unwilling to defend the most clear cut issues related to trespassing? You would have to be both rich enough to not care about wasting the money and dumb enough to not comprehend the issues involved here.

The entire point of private property is having the right to select who can and can’t make use of something. If you say that you can’t use even reasonable amounts of force in defense of property, then it’s not private property anymore.

Hamfisted Red propaganda makes its return as the state conscripts indoctrinated children to wave signs condemning the ‘intolerance’ of the inoffensive suburban bourgeoisie.

If anything, not enough force was used to clear the pool. To claim to uphold private property without being willing to use as much force as is necessary to demonstrate that claim is to give up the claim. Proclaiming that you support private property in the abstract, while condemning the defense of those rights in the concrete, is to be worse than useless as an ‘advocate’ of those rights. It is to say “I will defend this” while unchallenged, and then to back away when that principle is actually challenged. This is more obnoxious even than an open Bolshevik who openly opposes the existence of private property.

For conservatives, the unreliability of the state in defense of private property is a further difficulty. It’s embarrassing that private property owners have to make themselves so pathetic in relying on a uniformed agent of the state to defend their own pool. Given that the priestly authority in the US, bound up in the press, wants to obliviate the principle of private property selectively — particularly in cases like this — it’s going to be more challenging to prevent the US from receding to the third world mean.

For the press, events like these are teaching moments intended to shame the remnant middle class to part with their holdings, creating maudlin morality plays intended to break resistance to expropriation of all kinds.

The entire national press will censure one woman for saying “Go back to Section 8,” but it’s become crimethink to even conceive of something like “end Section 8″ and “those who do not work should not eat.”

It may be true that the left is overplaying its hand in cheering on the mob of youths. The rising third world generation may have numbers on their side, but they aren’t really useful for much else other than mobbing things and whining on the internet. To that extent, the left is good at mobilizing discontent, but not terribly good at making those people productive.

Of course it wasn't about racism insofar that local black parents commented on the issue as well. The community there is rather diverse already. What if the kids had jumped the fence of a black wealthy family and the family would have called the cops (some of them white). Would the family be now accused of racism for wanting to have their property to themselves?

That's just another SJW marxist talking point of the champagne socialists - let the middle classes fight with the lower classes and watch the fight from above adding more fuel to the fire.

Regarding the DPD officer shooting the man with the screwdriver, here is an autopsy photo of what "just a screwdriver" can do. [Image: 1603817-1607640-1680082-1723278tn.jpg]

I also request that as a group we agree to henceforth never say that we would "just shoot them in the knee." This belies a complete lack of understanding of the law and case law regarding lethal force. If a cop admitted to using a lethal weapon in that manner they would be fired and probably end up facing charges.
