Seeing the exact opposite of that in every country I've lived in outside the U.S. is what shattered the blank slate, equalist worldview in my mind.

It's well established that there are no absolutes in human psychology, but consistent patterns of group behavior can be observed in multiple cultural contexts.

Depends. A lot of black kids have american soldier dads that then just go back home to the US. So they also grow up with no dad. Some of the blacks I grow up struggle with their identity. So they often adapt the Gangster Hip Hop culture.
Others are just more normal. Still with a different skin colour you will stand out in some way in Germany. But I know enough blacks that just part of the society.

For me America is in some cases extreme violent, hyper sensitive and the victim culture. Mix this up with political correctness and feminism to an extreme, well you have shit.
Personal I don't get all the drama that is made up in the US. Most cases you can brake down for the reasons but it seems like everybody just accept how it is. Don't know about the downfall of some areas or so but I read that the CIA spread drugs into black communities to break them up.


For some time in Germany we had those Facebook parties covered in the media. When 200 or more people showed up to a private party. Police also arrived but it was never an outbreak in the media.
Furthermore it seems for me that media want to split the people. Its always blacks vs the white police force. Even when the reality is a little bit different. The US seems to love paranoid hysterics.

I've spent a lot of the last five years in Germany and this is definitely not what I witnessed.

I spent 20 years in those regions and I am talking about second generation guys of course. So essentially my point of view is from a local one, who meets guys in school, university, corporate environment.

If you frequent clubs, GI-environment, first generation immigrants, then that can be different, but even well-off Africans are a far cry off from that kind of culture. Only the Muslim ones are sometimes highly different, but I did not meet many back then.
