RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
Two separate comments:
1. The pool party - those cops coming on scene are not stupid, teenagers and black teenagers hate cops more than ever with whatever has gone on in the news this past two years. A mob like that is one "fuck the police" away from doing something stupid en mass. This seems like a typical party breakup from when i was a kid, cops show up, everybody runs, some kids get caught, some idiot talks shit and gets arrested. The standout for me, which hasn't been mentioned is "forget the bikini girl who got kneeled on, why does no one mention the the dude that gets dragged up at the end of the video, dazed out of his mind and spitting blood. THAT guy got fucked up and is the one that people should be asking questions about, not some mouthy cunt that just got crowd controlled". I hope people are looking at this in context as well. If these cops rolled up on two black girls in the street and then knee bombed one and pulled a gun on the other, that would be bullshit. However, these are like 2-5 cops coming up on alot of people. They have to first, establish control over the situation and then watch their ass the whole time to make sure the mob doesn't turn on them. I can sympathize with the cop being way too on edge here.
2. Screwdriver man. I think this has been said before on this forum. DO NOT call the cops to be your family therapist, problem solver, argument resolver etc. Call them if a crime has been committed or is in progress. Like domestic violence, if the cops have to show up, someone is going to jail whether you want it or not. If the cops show up and someone acts violently towards them, then it all escalates in a way that no one wants. You think society is hard on someone that puts their hands on a woman? Its 10 million times more taboo to put your hands on a cop. Thats what happened here, this lady called the cops instead of friends and family to intervene on her mentally ill son. She did not prep them at all, or meet them outside and be like "he has a screwdriver, he's messed up, he's harmless, keep your distance" or any of that shit, she gave them no cushion. What if they had stepped inside the house and then screwdriver man steps into the hallway? Also, game over. Its sad what happened but don't call the cops into a situation unless you are willing to accept that there may be very very severe consequences.
Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Psalm 2:1 KJV

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
So my original assertions:
1. Kids not complying with the police lead to the police using more force. The cops were right to do that.
2. This is not a racial issue, as many African Americans weren't in trouble (they were the ones also obeying the officers).
And now this article from Breitbart (generally a more Red Pill leaning new's site): Quote:One resident, Benet Embry, a black man, posted on Facebook about the events leading up to the police call. “Look, I LIVE in this community and this ENTIRE incident is NOT racial at all,” Embry wrote. “A few THUGS spoiled a COMMUNITY event by fighting, jumping over fences into a PRIVATE pool, harassing and damaging property. Not EVERYTHING is about RACE. WE have other issues that NEED our attention other flights of made up make believe causes.”
In another post he is critical of media coverage of the incident. “I’ve never seen such irresponsible reporting and miss management of media resources in my life,” he said.
This is starting to sound like trespassing on private property, which is illegal and in some places, you'll get shot by people - not even cops! What you see here is feckless and agenda-driven media completely misreporting and leaving out important pieces of information.
Unless Benet wasn't actually there and he's lying ( you can read his Facebook post), I'd trust his word over writers at WaPo or the NYTimes.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
Seriously - what is wrong with the people for not recognizing this kind of behavior as problematic.
Again - I am not accusing the cops, but the system which is making it ever more despotic:
1. Why the fuck did they call the cops after 2 girls getting into a fight?
2. Who cares if a kid runs away, because he may or may not have a joint in his pants? It's a bloody teenage pool party. At some parties that cops break up half of them run away in all directions. Are they going to chase and shoot anyone? There is no need to chase any potential would-be criminal that runs away from a POOL PARTY!!!! He did not run away from a bank robbery, a murder scene or a drug exchange!
3. The screwdriver scene is even worse.
This is beyond saving people. And you cannot even really accuse the cops and ex-veterans since they are trained to react in such a trigger happy / aggressive way. If you took 100 average American cops and moved them to Germany, they would behave completely different, because the system is still highly different there. PROTECT AND SERVE has been exchanged to COMPLY OR DIE and I don't think that many police officers are happy about it (those who are aware of what is happening).

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
Picked this up from FB. Comments mention it was DJ Reign doing the Twitter invites. Everything after this sentence is a copy/paste from the post.
"From a resident of the neighborhood who was actually there:
Facebook friends and family – PLEASE HELP! That (now viral) video of the officer in McKinney subduing a girl in a bathing suit was in OUR neighborhood. The situation was NOT what is being reported…
A DJ setup in a public space next to the private pool in our neighborhood on Friday and played loud explicit (F-bomb) music for multiple hours (it is unclear if he was invited by a resident as no one has claimed responsibility). The teenagers (both black and white) were being brought into our neighborhood by the carload because the DJ was tweeting out invites to a “pool party” for $15 (obviously unauthorized by our neighborhood). The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool. Some were jumping our fence. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene. Some residents who live around the park/pool area tried to come out and settle things down. The teens started yelling racial slurs at our neighbors and started assaulting people and property (throwing bottles at cars and attacking a mother at the pool with 3 young children). The first officer on the scene was by himself. At that time, the party had grown to a large, aggressive crowd. As the officer arrived, many teens started running through our neighborhood. Many of the teens were being very aggressive and yelling at the officers as more arrived.
This was a very dangerous situation for the officers AND the teens/residents not involved. The news media has refused to hear the neighborhood’s side of this story. The video being distributed is only a very small segment of what happened. This information being distributed by the media and others is extremely distorted and in some cases outright lies.
PLEASE HELP US STOP THE BROADCASTING OF THIS IGNORANCE. The media is trying to make it look like our neighborhood is a white’s only, racist area. Anyone who has spent even a few minutes in our area knows this is an outright LIE.
The unfortunate result is that our neighbors are now being threatened. We have also had cars and property in and around the park area vandalized this weekend. Unfortunately, the press and social media are trying to enflame the situation.
I am asking for your help for my family and my neighbor’s safety…PLEASE, PLEASE do not rebroadcast any of these lies."

You guys who have a problem with the police reaction in the screwdriver video are out to lunch. They give him a couple opportunities to drop it and instead he comes at them regardless in what appears to be a classic suicide by cop.

When we saw that incident in Arizona with that large family in the van, they actually assaulted the cops and the cops reacted with tazers and pepper spray. Shot only got fired when they struggled to grab the officer's gun.
The police do not use non-lethal weaponry on someone armed with a lethal stabbing weapon in close quarters because they're not always effective at stopping someone and they don't have the luxury of getting it wrong at close range. They didn't know this guy was armed with a screwdriver until his mom got out of the way. At that point they're like five feet from him.
You have unrealistic expectations.
If anyone ever comes at you with a knife or a screwdriver at that distance, neither I nor the law would have a problem with you shooting them in the face. But hey, if you want to try non-lethal means, go ahead. Your life.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
I hate when people are given multiple counterfactual arguments all they do is bitch about the one they don't like. The point I was making was that there wasn't an absolute need to use deadly force and that there were alternative options. Not prove that every single option is viable. The fact people bitched less about the other 2 meant there is at least some reasonable possibility of being better than killing a retard in 2 seconds of the making an ultimatum which we can assume he didn't understand.
One thing I'm picking up on this thread though, is the need for police officers and pro-police to consider everything a threat. Yes, a screwdriver could be a deadly weapon, which i mentioned. But let's compare it to the base line of unarmed. Unarmed can kill too. You can snap a neck, gouge an eye, etc. You get a trained boxer or MMA guy, they break wood and, unarmed, they are probably more deadly than a fat guy with a screwdriver. A mob of unarmed people is dangerous, and I actually think it was OK for the cop to pull the gun on those kids sneaking up the back of cop in the initial video for that reason. Everything can be a threat. Hence, a cop is and should be on alert in dangerous situations.
The problem that I and others have is, is situation assessment. Which is to realize when a situation does not require the highest level tactical responses and there are less lethal methods to deescalate a situation. It's easier to assume everything is the worst case scenario and always apply the hammer to the nails all the time but it doesn't mean its correct. I know cops do this. When I walk past them at the coffee shop where the whole police force seems to go to, I make sure I'm completely seeable and have my hands out of my pockets. Even then, I catch a few cops put their hands on their holsters. And this is a pretty safe part of town. Under this world view, a fat guy with a screwdriver goes from a fat guy with a screwdriver to potential ninja assassin.
The another problem is cops take the lack of respect, as those bitchy girls were doing, as a non-order and then bump that up to a threat. So, if it's a threat a cop will react to it, which the cop in video did. In a dangerous situation, it would not be a completely unreasonable response but these are a bunch of teenagers coming from a pool party(edit: even if its a questionable one). While there is the potential for any situation to get out of hand (which that cop somewhat created), starting at highest level threat response tactics may not always be the best option.
I know this might seem counter-intuitive to ex-vets and cops but you guys might be causing the reason to view every situation as potential dangerous. I understand the cops don't want to be caught with their pants down but there is the strong potential to escalate a situation for that reason. All people, especially criminals, will react to the cops' high likelihood to blow everything out of proportion and will likely respond in kind. This somewhat creates a self-fulling prophecy that I'm hypothesizing will need a cop to always act on high alert. It probably also explains why some cops think all people are out to get them.
And again, I dont think its reasonable to cops to take their frustrations out on suspects by beating the shit out of them when they are absolutely no threat because they don't follow every order perfectly immediately or hurt their pride.

It's amazing how many people distrust the media when it comes to feminism/SJW/etc but take their word as gospel when they talk about something like this.

Why didn't they just disarm him and kick the shit out him? It's 2 fit cops against 1 fat guy with a screwdriver. Are cops pussies that can't physically defend themselves without guns?
What the fuck are tasers for?
Also, they're still ordering him to put the screwdriver down after they just shot and kill him. What was that for?
1. This isn't Hollywood. You get stabbed with a screwdriver in the neck or face and it can result in permanent serious injury or even death. You ever fought a guy with a knife or screwdriver?
2. Unless both prongs enter the guy and complete the circuit it won't work. You have one shot to make it work, that's it. Reloading these one shot less lethal weapons isn't fast. Simple things like a loose shirt, multiple layers, significant movement, etc. can cause the prongs to fail to enter someone. This is a risk in close quarters. If they had space I would agree with you. Add the fact that not all departments have them and some have even phased them out because of highly-publicized incidents of people with heart conditions accidentally dying from being tased and you get the classic "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.
3. Because they're not mind-readers and he might've not been dead when he hit the ground.

First, we need to define left and right. In my opinion, obviously a controversial one, the explanation for this mysterious asymmetric dimension is easy: it is political entropy. Right represents peace, order and security; left represents war, anarchy and crime."

Exactly.
"Useful idiots" is a term that Roosh used on Twitter a while back, which if you read about is who socialists use to push their agenda. In this case, we know many US politicians know not to "ever let a crisis go to waste" so they use these crises to push an agenda that most people would be against.
Look at this page solely. We have at least two (possibly three) different Facebook posts from people saying that the media are running with the wrong story. Even ZeroHedge today has a post with false information.
What these people don't realize is how they're being used by people in power for an agenda they aren't going to like. Look at Baltimore. Look at Ferguson. Do those look like communities you want to be a part of?

1&2. Fair enough. I was about to make the argument that they could have use hand-to-hand combat to stop him, but it's not like they had enough time to fully assess the situation in order to choose between a lethal/nonlethal weapon.
3. Well, it's pointless to have him drop the screwdriver once he's already fallen over and dying, don't you think?
Yeah, it is pretty pointless if he isn't moving.
I'd like to add that the media doesn't really care much at all about real police misconduct, murder and abuse. All they care about is if there's a racial angle they can twist and exploit to get SJWs and tribalists up in arms.
Someone should compare coverage of the James Boyd murder with coverage of Ferguson, Baltimore, etc.

RE: McKinney, TX: Another police/race incident
What any of us reads in a newspaper article or sees on the TV news about any particular incident is likely to be wrong a majority of the time, for various reasons.
The media does not tell the whole story, either because they want to present a "sexy" story for ratings, or because they want to promote a certain narrative, or because they are just too stupid to understand what is going on or too lazy to figure it out. This happens to a greater or lesser extent on almost every single "news" story you see in the paper, on the news or the internet.
If anyone has been personally involved in an incident that was later reported by the media, I'm willing to bet you can confirm what I am saying. I experience this firsthand on a routine basis with my work.
This incident was initially presented as a few innocent kids invited to a pool party that the cops stormed because they were black. As more information seeps out, there was much more going on here.
