Earrings. Especially hand made ones that fit her style. Girls love unique one-of-a-kind jewelry. This stuffs usually cheap at $20 or so too.

I think earrings like this shows just the right amount of sentimentality and being in tune with a girls desires without coming across as a big deal. My mother actually told me this and it's worked like a charm every time I gave some nice handmade jewelry to a sweet girl.

In all seriousness though, don't buy them something physical. Give them some sort of experience. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, as long as it's personal.
