In my analogy, "playing in traffic" was referring to behavior such as what "Tiger Mandigo" was engaging in and also needle drug use. The point is that while it is true that AIDS can effect any human certain behavior and lifestyles make it way more likely.

+1 on star athletes getting a pass. There is a baptist university just down the road from me that every few years makes the news with questions about their football athletes and recruiting program. Apparently he was a good wrestler. Schools know most of the best athletes are dumber than a box of rocks...they want them to win championships.

As I student I worked for the Athletics Department at a SUNY school where the tutoring center was housed. The tutors would do the homework for student-athletes, it was an open secret. Some football players I knew told me that it was impossible to get lower than a "C" even if the didn't go to class the whole semester.

I agree with the gist of your post, but not really with this. At best you could say that a very small % of members of select species are (situationally) bisexual.
