Depending on who it is and how stunned into not thinking, it is weird how brainless just handing over money would be. First, it's a type of admission. Second, does it really absolve you? Third, and maybe most importantly ... do you really think that girl who slept with you wasn't a slut? LOL

Not sure how much of a trend this is elsewhere. In the UK there is a term, fly-tipping, which is the act of dumping rubbish on public or private property.
