I'm really considering leaving America
I'm in an interesting situation, I have my two year degree, I'm still in my twenties, working a decent part time job (10.75/hr, usually 20-25 hours a week), and wrapping up a Calc I class in two weeks. I've considered completing my engineering degree, I could transfer to any state uni and only have roughly two years left to do my degree. In a perfect world this would great, if it did not include borrowing money that I do not have. My Dad told me he would be ok paying for the last two years, and that has been a welcoming prospect, which has been my motivation, for the past two years, but yesterday, after talking to my mom, I found out they still need to pay the rest of a $20k loan, they took out, paying for my older brother to go to film school, so with that in mind, I put two and two together. Both my parents do not talk finances, my Dad does one thing, my Mom does the other, so she was unaware that my Dad wants to pay for these two years on an engineering degree, and needless to say, I just think it is too good to be true, considering that both of them want to pay down their debts in the next four years. With all this in mind, I've grown sick of the situation I am in, I've been putting aside money, while taking classes at community college, I have about $1500 in savings, I've been applying for a good amount of jobs that involve office work, but nothing seems to be sticking, and while my employer encourages me to get IT certs, they really seem to not give a damn either way, and I honestly at this point just want to leave America.

I have done the responsible thing: I don't buy something I can't pay for, I don't have any debt, or use a credit card, I save as much as I can, I don't drive (still working on my license), and I am set to loose my insurance next Tuesday, because of life and my current situation (I'm going to sign up for medicaid). With this college class ending soon, I'm thinking that things can't get better, as they stand today. I've never been late to my job, I don't bitch, I get the job done, but I guess I'm just a useful part-time slave, at this point, and I want out. So I am considering leaving the land of the allegedly "free" and home of the purported "brave", for elsewhere: The Dominican Republic, or elsewhere, I'm just sick of my culture, and the fact that, if you do the right thing, just like with women, you are punished instead of rewarded.

To be fair, I just have an Arts Associate, but there have been no opportunities for advancement, it's mostly been along the lines of, "we can't promise you a job, but if you got these certifications, you MAY be able to move on" and I would say that is my point of contention. People respond to incentives, not teases. I live by Chicago, so the issue of a car has not been something I worry about, but I want to change, and just move on from all this mediocrity.

Is there anyone that could help point me in the right direction? I don't like to sound depressed, maybe I am, or maybe I am cynical, I just see myself screwed either way, if I continue, because common sense tells me, my parents will not pay for those two years, and that promises, even ones on paper, are not worth the words they are written with. I don't know what I want to do with my life, I'm somewhat good at math, but I guess if I could boil what I want to get done in life, its this: make money, have sex with as many women as possible, and not live in a country where the women are not women, and the men are just a vagina with dick.

I like America and the idea of it, but honestly, even with the best game, women are still cunts of the highest degree here, and like pitbull once mentioned, they are real, but the bodyparts are fake, marriage is also another thing I want, but don't want to pursue, in clear conscience, in this country, because I know it's a losing proposition for people like myself. Anyways, I would appreciate any input, or even criticism.

This is a great idea. You should immediately leave for the Dominican Republic. In fact, we have a forum member who is a driver there; perhaps you can wash his car and help him out?

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
Since you are still in college, consider getting a teaching certification. That way you may be able to find a job as a licensed teacher in another country and you will have income. Many men work in other countries as English teachers, but these are really poorly paying jobs, but as a licensed teacher you may be able to get a good position. Also, take Spanish classes so you can speak the language if you are going to a Latin American country.

Is there anything you would like doing? Where do your interests lie?
Have you considered the oil sands?

I'll give you props for realizing that you shouldn't buy what you can't pay for.

I'd like to hear more.

Make every day count.

Art associate "degree": check
$1500 in "savings": check
no car: check
live with parents: probably
0 side income: check

You are right, its America's fault. Now all that's left is to take your mad savings and "art associate" skills to a third world shithole where hot exotic women will be waiting for you at the airport.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
Hey man, in the States you have great opportunities, better than anwhere else.

But yeah sure, if you have no skills, no experience, and no degree, it's rather difficult.

But you can get the skills you need rather quickly. You just need to figure out which direction you want to go.

Sure, if you want to become a surgeon it's probably more difficult, but if you want to move - for example - into interaction design, web development, online marketing etc. there are definitely possibilities.

It won't help you spending time in some 3rd world country - what do you want to do there? Wash that guy's car in the DR as someone mentioned above? lol

Just figure out in which direction you want to go, learn some skills, do an internship / volunteer, and you can have a good start in a good direction.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
Andy,
You need a change of environment as you're in a toxic environment. Been there, done that and know it sucks the life out of you.

Plan of action:

1) Listen to this, very relevant!
http://www.tropicalmba.com/college/
Skip to 12 minutes and listen to it as it's very relevant to your situation.

I'd also recommend you listen to this one too:
http://www.tropicalmba.com/studentloandebt/

I'd recommend you listen to as many of their podcasts as you can, they will light a fire in you big time! Starting with this one:
http://www.tropicalmba.com/1konline/

2) if you can save say 10K, then head to Chiang Mai, in Northern Thailand, which is a major hub for location independent guys. Network with the large group of location independent guys building online businesses there. 10K would buy you one whole year of living there with no worries about money. In that one year, build a killer social network of like minded people who will motivate you, inspire you and push you to go after your dreams as opposed to being in a toxic environment where not only everyone aspires to mediocrity at best but they will do their damnest to keep you at their level too. In that one year, being surrounded with guys making shit happen, will lit a fire under your butt and you will learn a valuable skill where you can build a location independent biz. Remember the old saying "you're the average of the 5 people you spend most time with".

If you can't wait till you have 10K and want to get the hell out of the toxic environment you are, then once you have 6K, go to Chiang Mai. That will buy you about 6 months there. Be laser focused on learning a skill and build a biz.

3) If you're not the entrepreneurial type, consider going abroad teaching English in Asia (Korea, China, Vietnam). This will allow you to experience things you'd never be able to do in America or wherever else in the Western Anglosphere. This can be the start of an exciting new life! In the process, you will learn a very useful language, Mandarin, new skills while being surrounded by sweet, slim and feminine traditional women.

All the best buddy, make it happen and keep us posted!

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
I'm gonna give you some real advice thst you may not like, but you need to hear. I needed to hear this but I didn't listen and it cost me a great deal of time:

The second you stop being bitter is the second doors open up.

You feel trapped and hopeless but life's not fair dog. why should it be? What did we do other than luck out and get born to american parents? Look into a trade, Internet marketing or many of the other things the men on this forum have mentioned. You have no debt so you can do almost anything (money withstanding).

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

I've looked into starting a droppshipping website, but where I am based, that's like a couple different licenses, and filing for an LLC, which is why I'd prefer to start something outside America.

Thank You for listing the information, as someone mentioned, I don't feel that I am in a toxic environment, I'm aware that I am in one, I'm willing to change and get shit done, I just have no clue where I would start (I heard someone mention trades - I'm not opposed to the idea, I've considered moving to Williston before, to try my hand, but I have heard alot about rigs shutting down, with the price of oil being what it is).

I agree with Fortis. Try not to be bitter about your situation or placing blame on others.

Here's a video that always helps. Even though it's corny towards the end, it's worth watching. Hell, you can watch the whole movie if you want.

Andy, look into a trade. Scotian and Atlantic have threads about oil jobs. Read the threads, ask good questions, and learn. Those guys and other men will help you as they have done for many others.

you could be making bank in a trade which would give you a nice cushion of cash to sit on as you learn to dropship in whatever 3rd world paradise you like.

That would be me recommendation.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

You are crying cos you don't know if your parents are going to pay for your school!

Going to DR will not solve anything other than relieve you off your $1500 savings.

You need to finish school, despite what anyone tells you. There are no shortcuts in life, I am double your age and still study at night. IT certs is the way to go, I am working on getting a few myself. An engineering degree is better than no degree.

You are not Canadian, so not sure how easy it is for you to get the chance to work in Canada. However, there is North Dakota which seems to be the same set up and you could probably make decent money in a short space of time.
Working part time is not enough, perhaps you need a better part time gig or even a full time gig.

Dude I know immigrants that work way harder than you.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
Suck it up and get your bachelor's. Transfer to a four-year state school, take out loans if you have to (if you are getting an engineering or CS degree it is only a matter of time before you will pay them off). If school is hard, suck it up. Join a frat and start banging 20 year old girls in your own country. Major in CS instead of Engineering, which will open up plenty of doors to work wherever you want. If you get a CS or hard engineering degree (MechE, BioE, ChemE, EE), you will be guaranteed a decent job regardless of the quality of the school you went to (assuming it's not some bull**** online school) and regardless of your GPA. All you have to do is graduate.

I've lived abroad several years. There's a time and place for living abroad, and now is not the time for you to do that.

Also, don't blame America for your situation, take some more damn responsibility for yourself and step your game up.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
I wonder if part of the problem is you're a 20-sometihng person that has become "unplugged".

If you're reading this forum you've become aware of the toxic environment that is all around you in America and it is depressing.

I didn't become unplugged until I was about 30 (14 years ago), and it's really more of an awakening that always continues after the initial unplugging.

Life will be hard no matter what country you go to, and it will be for a different set of reasons. Pick you poison they say.

So listen to what everyone here has to say and follow up with more research of your own here on the forum. It's a great resource.

Whether you go to Chiang Mai, China, or the DR each place will teach you something new about yourself just by living in it.

You have three great things going for you:

1) No debt
2) Youth/Good health
3) An emerging awareness there is something wrong with modern day western culture

That's more than most.

You could stay in America also and study/save as well, but it sounds like you really want to explore. Hey, you may come back after only a couple months, but I'm quite sure you won't come back the same.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
Save some money and do a gap year in SEA. Tickets + 1k/month as a bare minimum, ideally at least around 1.5k/month or 18K for a year + emergency fund. Emergency fund can be money, credit cards or access to parents' support. You should also have some money to get up and running if/when you come back to the US (or at least make sure your parents are prepared to take care of you until you find work).

While traveling, try to either get a job as an English teacher or set up an online business or both. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
I'm not crying about someone else maybe, or maybe not paying for me to get a free ride, I'm trying to figure out what I can do to avoid getting into debt, a degree in mfg. engineering is what I was looking at, but honestly, I don't believe it is worth it, based on how things are going in this country, all I can assume is that it will just get worse. I've seen these femicunts, they are in the schools, the media, everywhere I look, they run every institution that is important to this society - even in the Church's they now brainwash guys, so yes, I blame America for fucking my generation with women that don't act like women, and fucked up institutions, that are or will fail, sooner or later. I've woken up that, my society is in this brave new world, that I do not like, and reject.

America still exists - outside America. I've waken up to these facts:

1. Freedom is an illusion

If I need to sue the government to assert my rights, or point to an aging piece of paper, to tell them they can't infringe on my rights, I'm not "free" in practice.

2. American women are just a man with a vagina

They may have the physical attributes of the opposite sex, but I'm soooo damn tired, of them trying to be one of the bros, I can't really explain it, but it's just depressing. There are no more American women, that are girly, or feminine (at least where I live) they all are focused on some other meaningless shit, especially phones and what not, i'm tired of it! If this is the "great" society of America, I want no part of it, at all, let alone reproduce with one of these dumb asses, that can't even read a damn map or compass.

3. Feminism has fucked us all

I live and breath in the school system, and I expect I will continue to do so, for sometime. Sex with women has gotten to a point where it's NOT just a liability if you get her pregnant, it's become a CRIMINAL liability as well, if she gets angry that you did any minutia of things. Just today, I talked to an FC, and told her I wanted to sell shirts that said MISOGYNIST PIG, and she told me I would be responsible for someone getting punched, simply by selling a damn t-shirt! This is the "great" American mind, in 2015, which is one that believes you can't think for yourself, let alone chose, no, you need idealism to do that!

4. Jobs are becoming harder to find/get

I will agree with the people that say I need to up my skills, and take responsibility, ok great. What good are all these IT certs, if some business can do the "American" thing, and get cheap labor from India, and train them to do the same thing for less? (I read a story about the H1B visas, and American workers losing out to cheaper foreign labor, some of these guys had good jobs to start with, but were replaced by people and trained these people to do their job). Stuff like this has me worried.

Anyways, I guess my point is, I don't like this society one bit, based on the institutions and feminism fucking it all up. What good is free speech, if SJW's tell your employer your sexist for disagreeing with their BS, and you loose your income? What good is due process, if femicunts have their way with yes means yes? I really want to believe I live in a better country, and a better society, but from my experience with these FC's and the way the culture is headed..I prefer to live with the savages.

In either case, if I can make the same amount of money working in oil, as I would with mfg. engineering, well, obviously I will choose the former, since I can build from a position of no debt. The only thing that has me motivated for an engineering degree is the monetary aspect, since degrees only matter if they are marketable. If there is another alternative, I'm all ears (PM inbound to Atlantic).

Dude, go live in another country and you will see that ALL of the problems you listed exist everywhere, except for feminism.

And these problems are MUCH worse in other countries.

But I guess you'll have to see for yourself.

Do you think Hugh Hefner has ever complained about the US government stealing his "freedom?" No, because he's too busy winning.

I'm not saying you shouldn't go abroad, the girls really are that much better abroad. But you need to go in with an actual plan and the winner's mentality to back it up instead of rationalizing about why you are in your current situation.

OP I'm going guess you're living in a small college town.

That you grew up in a suburb.

And you've never lived in a major city before.

Moving to a city from a small college town is like moving to the amazon from a desert.

Transfer to SUNY and push out that engineering degree. We need more engineers.

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.

RE: I'm really considering leaving America
OP, you asked for input and criticism so here is my two cents: I can't help but feel that you are naive and entitled. You spout off "feminism is an illusion" and "american men are pussies" but you don't have anything (degree, money, skills) to show for... why do you think you are better than what America is out to give you? I'm not saying this as a personal attack so much as I am asking you a sincere question. Why do you believe that you deserve better? Are you ridiculously good looking or even let's say an 8+ on a 1-10 scale? I'm trying to figure out why you seem to feel so entitled in having a good life here in the US. You go elsewhere with your basket of attributes, and you are gonna be in a much worse spot. America for all it's faults is still Contra on Easy mode when it comes through living an acceptable (although with a lack of money) standard of living.

There are plenty of guys out there that worked hard got a good education, make $200k a year, drive fancy cars, buy nice houses, have always done "the right thing" and even these guys - who deservedly want and expect a good life - are getting eaten alive by American culture and the feminazis you reference. You haven't even shown the base minimum (living on your own, college degree) of being a functional member of society. Once you do that, maybe you can start to contemplate a life outside of the US: right now, what you need to do is get your head out of your ass, buckle down and do what it takes to get at least a Bachelors and a steady full time job after graduation. Save some money, have $10k in the bank, then start thinking about expatriating. The way I see it, if you don't have enough gumption to even finish your Bachelors, let alone mow lawns, tutor little kids, gather cans for CRV, or even slang to make a decent amount of skrill, then you are not going to be able to make it in DR or any 3rd world country.

In a lot of ways, I can identify with your situation: pissed away high school, barely got into college, was fat and unpopular and railed against the world for being unfair and so tough. It wasn't until I began to realize two things: 1. I wasn't going anywhere with my present attitude and 2. I started to think about just how much my first generation parents sacrificed to immigrate mainly to give me a shot to have a better life, that I started to finally get it: dropped 80 lbs., pulled straight A's, transferred to the best school in the area with a full academic scholarship. I'm proud of getting it together, but I'm saying it more to let you know that there is an actionable way out of the situation you seem to hate so much... but you have to put in time, energy and effort, and it looks like you are sorely lacking in all three.

Good luck.
