Personally I think Pacquiao got robbed. I am a little biased - the Colombians were going nuts every time he landed something.

Was there a lot of booing at the end when Mayweather jumped on the ropes? Couldn't hear it properly.

I had it 8 rounds to 4 for Mayweather by the end. I'm seeing a lot of people elsewhere on the internet saying Pacquiao won but he was mostly displaying a lot of ineffective aggression.

mayweather just makes fights boring by out-performing his peers this fight was no different. Pacquiao could have made it close if he didn't punch himself out in the earlier rounds. Floyd was working the left jab all night though and kept him at bay for the majority of the rounds.

Wow, I really thought Pacquiao won this fight, as did everybody I was with. I'm shocked to see stats saying Mayweather landed more and a higher percentage of his punches.

Personally, in a fight where neither fighter deals much damage, but one is constantly the aggressor, I'd give him the win

For all the guys claiming Manny won this or that it might as well have been a tie on the scorecards....

You gotta remember if punches don't land on target, they're not gonna be reflected on the scorecard.

A bit of analysis on my end. Your mileage may vary, and feel free to point out mistakes.

Pacquiao: First thing I noticed was how jittery he seemed. He's stopping for a selfie, acting as though it's just a big party. He's bobbing up and down constantly before the fight. Looked like he was almost hyperactive. He was in good shape, and I was surprised at some of the hits he got in on Mayweather. That being said, while a lot of his flurries and punches looked impressive, only a handful actually landed. That's what counts, in the end. He seemed like he was reacting to Mayweather's defense, rather than acting.

Mayweather: First thing I noticed was how focused he was. He didn't stop for a selfie; he was focusing on the bout. He looked predatory when he walked in, as though the fight was all that mattered. Also in good shape. He was as fast as he usually is, and although his technique didn't look as impressive to the untrained eye, he set the tempo of the fight. His punches were solid, and a good number of them landed. He ran into trouble in round 4, but he generally did what he does- set the tempo of the fight.

All in all, it was a good fight, but Mayweather clearly won. Pacquiao's offense looked impressive, but was largely show.

Exactly what I expected. Thank god I saw this at a buddies house for a case of brews. Fight shoulda happened 4-5 years ago. Manny pussied out the first few rounds and it cost him. Well not exactly, didn't cost them anything.

I'm disappointed.

What I saw was Mayweather fighting Pacquiao on his terms and being 90% defensive. Pacquiao was the aggressor through most of the fight and Mayweather was mostly defensive. He landed a few decent punches but didn't follow through. Pacquiao could have done more, but based on that fight he should have won. Maybe by boxing rules Mayweather was the better fighter, but he avoided the fight to win purely on points. Pacquiao was the better aggressor, and if Mayweather doesn't agree to a rematch on equal terms, he can never retire undisputed uncontested.

That couldn't have possibly been the fight fans wanted.

Five years too late. Mayweather dodged a true contender.
