Maybe 5 years ago that would have been the case, after one too many tragic reality soap however Ed Hardy and Affliction has that WT stamp all over it. If it's noticeable it would only be with the all the more diminishing douche crowd that doesn't have the self-awareness to know when their wardrobe is on the way out.

lol it had that stamp on it for me 5 years ago but you still it everywhere you go. And all I said was it gets attention, good or bad is up to the viewer...

I like custom+ limiteds of Nike hightops for street wear, and high end monk straps for formal. Search for custom sneakers on google and you can find a million different designs.

I have a way different style than all of you. Maybe its my youth, maybe its where I was raised, or most likely its probably just my love of basketball, but you can NEVER go wrong with a fresh pair of Jordans!
Crisp jeans, a button up, and some nice Jordans is such a sharp look IMO.

Jordan 2's

Jordan Fusions
Jordan 9's

I think that G may even be able to pull these off custom suited down...Jordan 13

What do you all think?

if you want to shop online or get a feel for what shoe you want, go here.

theres 920 results for black men's dress shoes. Looks like alot of ugly shoes so you will have to scour the site. I have purchased shoes from here inthepast

You would wear those filas when going out???? In a dress sense??? All I fcuk wid are Stacy Adams or Kenneth Coles and nothing with laces, slip on, slip off. Buy all my shyts from U.S (nothing more than 50 bucks unless the shoes are just splendid).

I second the bolded. I actually always wear shoes even when I'm just out for a casual stroll and might keep some sneaks in the sports bag in case I buck up on a hoops game that I can partake in.
But in this sense, I can often just end up going to a club without even being prepared because I'm always dressed smartly.
This was drilled into me from the U.K - they are very strict on dress code in London. Timbs, jordans, jeans, durags will get you on the streets working on your road game if you wear that out in London, last time I was out thurr...

These are the type of shyts I like. I know I tend to rock a lot of black but I don't want to stand out too much (it doesn't seem to work that well in conservative T.O. When I hit other cities, I might amp it up on the pimp swag with some sky blue
shoes, some white and some crocs).

Although I'm not a fan of laces, the below look very sharp. I could hit up an interview and a club in the same swoop and dip into some middle class lizard.

Lol kickboxer was kidding. I haven't seen fila's in like 15 yrs. You're crazy if you wear jordans with anything besides a tshirt and jeans or shorts. I have a few pairs but there's a time and place for everything. I'm going to go with Aldo slip ons probably but I need to go back to the mall. Moma I didn't know stacy adams made slip on shoes.

I'm sorry, but this is simply not good advice for most of the clientele of this forum.

Jordans are perceived class of the ghetto dweller.
And Jordans with a custom suit? The style police while have you for 25 to life.

Slips no doubt. Is unlikely but being the guy with untied shoes is a spot no one wants to be in. I think slips looks a lot cleaner too, laces can get dingy, worn, and frayed.

I already know that sneakers are a no-no for grownups with style, but what color are your socks usually?
I know white socks are out, so what color do you guys default to? I assume black, but are there any other colors that are acceptable?

Adidas originals and its ilk are a little more than Nike/Reebok/Fila type sneakers though. More stylish, cleaner lines and not as much "garnish". Less is more in a very tasteful way with these. I have two pairs of Sambas.

I'm actually thinking about getting some Adidas to wear with shorts. Like those thin ones with the stripes on the side. Just something basic.

Simply a difference in taste. I wasn't serious about Jordans and custom suits. It is simply a style preference... Not everyone can pull off a Jordan look just like I couldnt pull off some of the boots that have been discussed. I've seen lots of grown men wearing Jordans. I guess it depends on where you're from and what you're about but I wouldn't go as far as making some of the generalizations you made.

You'll see grown men doing a lot of stupid things, doesn't mean you want to emulate them all. Pick the right ones to emulate. I get you like your jordans, we all have our sneaks and rock them on occasion so nobody says don't wear them but you want to game figure out that they have their time and place. It doesn't matter where you're from or what you're about, you want to represent the man you want people to see you as. You want to grow up to look like a man who hasn't grown up keep rocking jordans 24/7, you want to look like somebody who has some style and taste you get the clothes that show that. Unless you're a celeb who has the notoriety to be recognized everywhere, you don't get the luxury of having your first impression preceding you so you have to think what is a person seeing when they see me, what am I putting out there. Fact is no girl has seen a pair of Jordans unless they were on Jordan and gotten wet but you've read the accounts from some of the guys here on what their kicks have done for them and G rocks some of the baddest high end shoes out there and you hear about the models and quality he's rolling with. Like it or not, the look of money is instant value in a chicks eye.

What do you all think?

Jordans are so played out, you only see teenagers and dudes that are living their 2nd childhood wearing them.

only sneakers i will ever wear are designer casual sneakers that look classy, and if is not some designer joints, i could throw on some Vans new eras and make it look good.

http://www.undefeated.com/footwear/vans.html

I would rock the hell out of those white low top new eras on a sunny afternoon in bangkok.

Alden Unionmade shoes are my favorite specially since the dirtier they get the better they look and in third world countries your shit will get dirty lol.
