Yes, but if you are immensely pissed and disappointed and asked about the player who ended your [perfect] season, do you say "fuck that dude"? I don't think a white player would. It isn't bait. I would hope if some of you have read my comments about other matters you know I don't care about your color. I care about your integrity, decency and thoughtfulness. Among other qualities, including the ability to step back look at things.

I just find that most are commenting on the word being no big deal and less on the intent and his behavior. No one really seems to care he acted without class and tried to upstage someone. I really don't want say much to avoid a little dark moment where the conversation goes where not intended.

But based on this thread it sounds like it is cool say the N word as long as it ends with the "a". It is cool to say it to people you barely know. My dear friend and business partner is black and we have been through hell together, he has never ever used that word around me. And we have been in the shit. I mean white knuckle we gonna make it shit. And his life experience was not like the Cosby show. He had to scrap and fight his way out. So that is why I am curious. I have not lived everyone's life but I am curious about other people's lives. So that is why I posted it.

In some way it seems like a non African American can utter the word but then others will decide if that is ok after the fact. It seems a little like when women call some men creepy and are totally open to other men (like that SNL skit with Tom Brady).

Anyway, all I know is Jackie Chan tried to be friendly using the N word in Rush Hour and nearly got his ass whooped. Trying to end it with a bit of humor.

But I am not trying to bait or start a race thread, I challenge anyone to find a thread where I came off as some sort of racist or hater in the Ferguson thread or other threads. I am just trying to understand other people's perspectives. In this case, due to the lack of class in his behavior it bothers me more than most on this thread I guess. If Kaminsky had uttered something along those lines, based on a lot rough events lately (Ferguson, etc.) it seems like there would be a lot of angry people.

I don't see the big deal. Co-workers use that word and phrase regularly around me at work when speaking to and about one another. It's not used as an insult.
