just to be clear MG its just a pool, not a gym. When i went i paid per visit Cop 30.000, I hv friends pay for multi visit packages but cant recall the price. IMO bodytechs are the most modern best equipped Gyms in the city and the pricest, Spinning Centers are the next best....You can get a 3 month pass to any spinning center for about Cop 400.000 i hv a deal through work for Cop 900.000 per year....I am sure they hv monthly deals as well........BodyTechs in the north of Bogota range from 2.0-2.5 mil per year depending on location....

First off I'd like to thank LINUX for this thread, +1 coming your way. Started reading it yesterday and I've never had the urge to experience another country like your thread has inspired.

Couple of questions for the gringos here:

How much money would I need to game and live comfortably for 3-4 weeks in Colombia? Specifically Medellin, Bogota, Barranquilla or any other place you would recommend.

Safety? As soon as you mention Colombia around here everyone goes "cocaine, narcos, kidnappings, hookers etc". I'd like to believe the country's somewhat stable since the crazy 80's and 90's...

Any place where a Swede can capitalize on the exotic factor? I have dark hair and beard but blue eyes, fair skin and 6'3.

Just started pipelining a few girls in Bogota today. It seems like most rolas' preference is for a man 3 to 5 years younger than what you read on the profile, of typical colombianas in other cities.
Typical of capitals nowadays all over South America. Though, the sheer number of single women in Bogota, should mitigate that to a certain degree.

You're right, no one's been there. But Colombia does have the reputation and modern history of being more than charmingly crazy... Hence why I seek your 0.02$ on the merit of these assumptions.

I'm a proponent. However, I do not get the increased surge in confidence that many get, so I don't really think of it as a "party" nor "gaming" drug--just another stimulant, albeit an awesome one.

What I get is greater general wakefulness and greater energy like caffeine or modafinil, with a moderate increase in euphoria that caffeine and modafinil lack.

This trip in Colombia, I've been using coke as a general-purpose stimulant. Caffeine exacerbates my hangovers, especially the nausea. Coke tends to improve my hangovers, although sometimes it worsens the nausea slightly (but more often alleviates it).

Also, cocaine is relatively short-lived compared to caffeine and modafinil, which is a plus. I can sleep 3-5 hours after a moderate cocaine session--but certainly not with caffeine or modafinil.

However, coke is a moral hazard, since I know I have a senzu bean at my disposal.

I will attempt things like stay awake after 3AM after a night drinking at the club, wait for a cocktail waitress to get off her shift from a different club, then have what I call a "Blue & White Party" with her (although I doubt I'm the first to come up with that) until the morning, then attempt to rinse and repeat on an afternoon date on no sleep. Or like yesterday, get pretty buzzed/tipsy with an afternoon date, get pretty drunk and rail some lines with a night date, and then meet up with a different girl at 2AM to hit a club, then party with her and her friends until 9AM.

Then wake up today in the afternoon after about three hours of sleep feeling like death, and reaching again for the senzu bean.

When I was in BOG it felt like 90-95% of the people out-and-about dressed business casual. I don't wear runners but for some reason over there I often felt self-conscious or as if I stood out if I just wanted to slum it in a t-shirt/uncollared shirt/untucked shirt (I'm a bit past my 30s so take that into account). I think jeans and button down should be fine.
