I love the Great British Baking Show. I watch it on PBS every Sunday. I love the hosts, the contestants, and the baking. And I don't even bake. But I heard there are new hosts and I'm a bit worried. It might be a Top Gear type situation with the new hosts ruining the show.

I thought you were talking about the Chinese dating show, whose title translates to "If You Are The One." That's my guilty pleasure.

It's so funny watching these beta Chinese dudes slowly blow themselves out of any chance of getting a date, getting more rejections with every premade video shown.

The most brutal part is when their own friends go on video to describe the candidates flaws, and instead of lying to help their friend, they all offer crushing truths.

I like having somebody that cares about me that I can cheat on.''

It's interesting how china can be as cheap as Fiestaware. Fiestaware for eight people (32 pieces), at Macy's, is $224. With 20% off coupons that Bed Bath & Beyond gives out all the time, an eight person (42 piece) set of Mikasa china is $160. My own set only cost $240.

I already have a formal set:

Maybe I should pick up a more casual set, and use them as ordinary dishes:

Yeah, I think I'll do that. There's no reason not to. Fine porcelain is pretty strong, and the platinum used is dishwasher safe.

I like browsing antique stores.

There is something about seeing/feeling/touching things from eras past that makes me zoom out of my own life and take stock of it from a multi-generational perspective.

Seeing a dinner service form the 50's and thinking about coming home from work to a home cooked meal and my nuclear family.

Or a handmade oak desk from the 30's that was passed down from son to son.

Simple kids toys and honest and pure kids books.

Makes me a little sad for [current year] to see how we've degenerated but gives me optimism for the future that a little piece of it could be mine with enough hard work and sacrifice.

Then youll love this: Throw an unopened can of condensed milk in low boiling water for about 2hrs. Open it after it cools you'll have the best most intensely delicious "dulce de leche" you ever had.

Youre welcome

Dragonball Z/Super, Naruto, Trollhunter, Trolls, Lego movies, Pixar movies.

My favorite though was the movie Megamind. I loved it, the anti-hero stuff gets to me.

I love kids' stuff. I'm not sure why, maybe because it presents an ideal (often time the Hero Journey is present), maybe because I'd really like to have kids one day.

Related to the Ideal, I never was able to get into shows like Breaking Bad. I find the world is already a hard place, life's really really hard. People struggle a lot. I don't see the point in having my entertainment remind me how shitty the world can be. Like Breaking Bad where I believe the main character is deeply flawed and gets killed at the end, and something about his wife cheating on him or something...I wonder if that originates from the nihilist environment we live in.

Dragonball...it's really the same story repeated over and over again: Goku and gang meet an opponent far stronger than them, they train hard, get their asses kicked in battle, but in the end always win. Good over evil. Every single time. And it's a constant struggle after another: Raditz, Vegeta/Nappa, Frieza, the Androids, Cell, Buu, Zamasu, Hit, Jiren.

Kids stuff is aspirational, it makes you believe again that at the end of the fight you'll come out stronger (unlike Game of Thrones where good people seem to get killed off randomly). I like aspirational stuff, I don't need or want nihilism in my life. If the only aspirational material I can get is from children's cartoons and anime, so be it.

Listening to the alternative music seen in concerts like Lilith Fair from the 90's. Singers like Shawn Colvin, Jewel, Sarah Mclachlan, Lisa Loeb, Paula Cole, Fiona Apple, etc...

Yes, they're feminists, but their songs are hauntingly beautiful in an odd way. They're puritans in terms of looks and song compared to the trashy slutty pop singers like Ke$ha and Katy Perry and that's not a bad thing.

I really like that set of china, fresh looking and sharp.

I like to buy all of my books used and get the oldest edition available.

As a result, most the books on my shelf were published 20-60 years ago. Some of them have scribbles in them, underlines or notes.

I always wonder what happened to the people who read them, where have the books been? What important part of history have they been through?

Trump's twitter feed is my guilty pleasure. I don't have Twitter, but I go a couple of times a day to see what Trump has tweeted. Not being an American, a lot of the straight stuff washes over me. But my god, the excitement of coming across a troll tweet, or a fighting tweet, can bring so much pleasure and glee into my day. I actually get a thrill when I start typing Trump's twitter into my browser, waiting for autocomplete to sort me out. I have to admit that there are days when I read something and an involuntary, unmanly, rapturous squeal is wrung out of me.

A case in point from a few hours ago:

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/stat...7445478402

It's not even one of his classics, but it still gives me an absolute thrill to see him reach out and say 'fuck you' directly to his detractors. You just know that this tweet REALLY struck a nerve with Ms. Bee, and probably gave her a little presidential tingle at the same time.

I've really come to love a lot of the Trump mannerisms that I found unlovely for much of the first few years. I am surprised by how often what I would have thought of as crass, vulgar, or self-aggrandising previously I now find charming or endearing.

Sorry to say this but I just listened to the Celine dion song that was in titanic. Twice.

I really liked it. Also, I find her really hot even though she is French Canadian and thus would be crazy.

Some of my guilty pleasures related to women :

- Sending dick pics to online girls who annoy me. I'll select a limp, hairy, disgusting dick pic that I took and try to bait her into thinking it's an innocent message. Better during the day when she has more luck of being next to other people.

- Jerking off on dating websites, especially on a classy, voluptuous milf, imagining I'll go through the 2-3 dates / be her puppy just to get her if I have to.

- Giving a good correction to rebellious, younger girls. Telling them to call me Mr [pussy sniffer]. Spanking them and telling them to say "thank you" after each spank.

- Making flaky girls wait a lot (1h or more) if they finally decide to show up and I'm currently busy.

- My new guilty pleasure is to record sex sessions with hidden cams. Unfortunately my ip camera doesn't work in 5G network so I have to wait until my next condo, now I must use my laptop / phone.
