Mine did...LOL. I go one of those gyms where the trainers just walk and give you tips whether a you really want it or not (its part of the gym culture). So I'm in the middle of a bicep curl set and all of a sudden, I see this shamu whale stop right in front of me. And I'm not talking slightly overweight here. This woman was obese - at least 50 lbs overweight.

So I'm wondering why this fat woman is staring at me. When I finish my set, she introduces herself as one of the new trainers and proceeds to start telling me I should keep my lower back straight while I'm doing the bicep curl. Then the worst is yet to come. She follows me around the gym like a fucking puppy and starts flirting with me big time, throwing out IOI's like desperate cat in heat.

Where is fat acceptance going now where gyms will hire obese personal trainers? HuhHuh

Fat personal trainer sounds like an oxymoron, but it may actually be a good business strategy.

If your clientele is this:

[Image: g-hlt-090805-donut-445p.380%3B380%3B7%3B70.jpg]

And your trainer is this:

That might make the fatties jealous.

Now a trainer like this will put the fatties at ease:

RE: If you owned a Gym, would you hire a fat personal trainer?
I've definitely seen some fat personal trainers at the gym I frequent. There are a couple of in shape men that I may hire for a bit to help my technique a bit, but the girls in the gym seem to hire fatties.

The good looking MILFs seem to hire the buff men as trainers and stare at me while I lift. There's a lot of money around, and they seem to all have aftermarket modifications and are probably cruising for dick. Haven't been thirsty enough to hit on them to test those waters- I would rather bang their daughters.

Sounds like a great chance to black knight. I'd resign my gym membership with a letter stating that the fat trainer was sexually harassing me.

RE: If you owned a Gym, would you hire a fat personal trainer?
Lack of acceptance of fat trainers concerns only when the trainer is a man.

Of course knowing female psychology it comes as no surprise that women feel strangely at ease seeing a fat female trainer jiggle in front of them. They can always take solace that someone out there is more fat than her. Yeah - makes perfect sense really.

http://adamhayhow.com/youre-fat-why-are-...l-trainer/

Or this example here:

http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/1...65637.html

I think that more of that is to come as the fat hamsters believe that you can train yourself to a healthy lifestyle without losing weight - usually the reason is a bad diet:

Quote:Researchers are challenging the idea that you need to be a size 10 to be in shape. Heavy people can be fit too. Charmaine Camilleri reports.

Pam Nelson weighs 110 kilograms, but there would be few women in Melbourne fitter than her. Each week, she works out for up to 10 hours in the gym. "My whole life is active … my energy is contagious," the 32-year-old says.

No it just means that you are barely working out enough to keep the weight gain at reasonable levels. Your body sometimes is unable to deal with your added weight - that woman in the last pic runs 27 km per week while weighing 110 kg (220+ pounds). That is a massive strain on her knees and legs - she will feel the effects of that in a few years.

Personally I also don't like young fitness trainers who eat like shit, but keep a good body due to their youth. Young guys who know a thing or two about nutrition and apply it together with their workout routines are worthy to be hired. But I am a guy, so of course I prefer competence over mental comfort. A well-trained body inspires me while a girl is just envious of a "skinny" bitch.

RE: If you owned a Gym, would you hire a fat personal trainer?
You need buff male trainers and chubby female trainers.

Women are, Men become. To be a buff dude you need to put a lot of hard work, time and most importantly self discipline into it. It doesn't just happen. So if your aim is to get buff, which I assume it is for most men who go to gym, they need to see some proof that the advice they are getting from their trainers works, and there is no better proof for this than seeing your trainer has a great body, just like your goal.

Women, on the other hand, can be born with perfect genes and look naturally thin and amazing without having to do much hard work. While it is true that most female trainers add their hard work to their natural beauty, the female hamsters has a tendency to justify her obesity by thinking that all skinny women are skinny because of their genes and she is fat because she was born with bad genes and there is nothing to be done about it. So when a chubby woman goes to gym to lose weight and she sees a female trainer with perfect body, she just assumes that she is very lucky to be born that way and working out has little to do with it and that's why she will never have a body like her trainer's. Justifying your failure by unfair conditions is easier than admitting that you are a fat lazy fuck.

Now if you hire a few fat female trainers, as far as my theory goes, they can motivate the fat and rich clients better, relate to them better and makes them feel more comfortable with their bodies. Feeling secure and comfortable in gym is the only way you will extend your membership at the end of the year. It's good business.

But never hire fat male trainers or any male trainer who doesn't have a great body. My gym was supposed to be one of the best gyms in the city, but it turned out to be the worst for me because most of the male trainers are lazy fucks with chicken arms and man boobs, therefore they have zero respect from me when it comes to writing a workout program.

RE: If you owned a Gym, would you hire a fat personal trainer?
The business model of most large gym chains in the USA is to sign a bunch of people up for 1 or 2 year contracts, knowing that only 15% or so actually go to the gym with any frequency, and that many of the New Year's crowd will come for at most a half dozen times.
Their best pure profit center is signing up fatties who will come 2 or 3 times, and then 95% will stop going to the gym, but they are still required to pay.
If I ran a gym I was trying to squeeze money from I would do what Planet Fitness does - have pizza and bagel days, and get as many fatties in the door as possible.

I would probably hire this fat guy as a personal trainer:

But outside the fat powerlifter group, no. One of my personal rules is to never hire a fat personal trainer or a skinny chef.

yes there are a lot of annoying fat people that hang around gyms and sports.

but, there are a lot of retired elite athletes whose bodies are wrecked, or are just totally burnt, who know more about training than any "level 1" or anyone under the age of 45.

So its not about how much they weigh, its their background. A common chubby gym trainer with a kinesiology degree and an unremarkable sports background, hell no. A former world/national/NCAA/pro athlete, definitely.

No. Someone had a post in the Planet Fitness thread a few days ago where they wanted to put up signs that said something like '100% NO FAT CHICKS ALLOWED'

That's the type of gym I'd run.

Just like FAT nurses. Physical fitness is prevention for health problems.

To not only have fat trainers, fat fitness class instructors, but also fat nurses, fat doctors, etc. proves the entire spectrum of health in this country has been invaded.

Ever have a nurse who wreaks like cigarettes? I have, and I insisted that they send me a nurse who at least practices common health in her own life before they touch me.

I even had a drunk dentist once. His breath stunk like booze. I got up and asked to reschedule the appointment with another dentist in the office.

No.

I would hire exclusively 18 year old hotties as personal trainers. It would be like the Hooters of gyms.

It would have a hundred treadmills and stair machines and cater exclusively to beta males who are training to run half-marathons in aid of giving water to africa or something. it would have blown up tumblr motivation images on the walls like, "no pain no gain" with a picture of a beach at sunset and stuff.

i'd tell the girls to be really friendly and brush their fingers on the customers when they talk.

damn im gonna be so rich one day.

First forum member to open a gym with the official slogan "we hate fatties!" gets a rep point from me and one month free stay in my Beijing penthouse.

"I can count on one hand, literally, the number of women I have ever met that can take that kind of advice, accept it and make use of it without their epic egos setting metaphorical fire to the conversation.

Most women "looking for advice" are in reality looking for someone to validate their cosmic victimhood, because it's not really their fault, because it's never their fault. This behavioural trait isn't absent among men, but when we fail society cares not, while when women fail there is no shortage of comforting platitudes on offer from every vector.

Agreed. If the trainer is a bit out of shape, but has an elite athletic background, especially with coaching experience, I'd look past their shape.

As for hiring fat female trainers to appeal to fat female customers, there's a better way. There are plenty of attractive, statuesque athletic muscular women to be found. They may not be your cup of tea sexually, but the fat chicks will see them and think "oh, she looks strong and confident, not one of those itty bitty skinny girls, I could be like her." The reality is far different of course - the athletic girl looks that way from years of resistance training, so her look is even harder to attain than the skinny look, contrary to the fat girl's belief. But it will lure in the fat girls anyway.

I thought about it, but then I realized being run over by a gang of angry fatties on rascal scooters is probably a pretty painful way to go.

RE: If you owned a Gym, would you hire a fat personal trainer?
Absolutely not. If you want to master the world around you, first you have to master yourself. And a fat personal trainer is an oxymoron not worthy of my time.

This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately - what I would do if I had my own gym.
The one I attend has about a 50/50 ratio of cardio to weight equipment. There's always a wait for the free-weight bench and the music is horrendous. Far too many people on their phones.

Unfortunately opening a male-only gym would be laced with difficulty. We all know the pervasion of the 'These facilities must cater to our needs!' rhetoric has all but destroyed the male-only spaces that men need and now that the feminist movement has power they're certainly not going to give it up without a fight.
The primary hurdle would be the anti-discrimination laws here in the UK. In order to become certified and registered my gym would have to (on the surface) appear to fulfill all the necessary requirements such as separate changing rooms etc.
After the grand opening would be when the real practice comes into play. I'd have to close off the now-redundant parts of the gym and operate a No Females policy.

It would have nothing but the best lifting music, such as:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdmhFhxJIXQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17HRV8k1YMw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o64n32RPI7s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxroiTRg7Tg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxroiTRg7Tg with a suggestion board for any preferred tracks since not everybody has my tastes

There would be one wall painted black with inspirational quotes updated every fortnight or so:
'Only strength can co-operate. Weakness can only beg' - Dwight D. Eisenhower
'If a man makes himself a worm, he must not complain when he is stepped on' - Immanuel Kant
'If you don't test your limits, you'll never know what they are.'
'Make the most of yourself...for that is all there is of you' - Ralph Walso Emerson
'Strength is the only thing that matters - everything else if a just a delusion for the weak. There's only 1 certainty in life. A strong man stands above and conquers all' et cetera ad nauseam.

It'd be comprised mostly of weight equipment with a few cardio machines for the men who want to work on their fitness at about an 85/15 ratio.

Of course there'd be threatened legal repercussions with financial penalties, to say nothing of the obvious vandalism and intimidation tactics my opponents would inevitably use. But the clientele of my gym would hopefully appreciate what I was trying to do and stand fast.
Even if I was legally in the clear the so-called Second Set of Books i.e. the policies, procedures and protocols of the fitness community would work out a way to find fault with the operation of my gym.

It's a damn shame. But a man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?

There's a real simple way to make your gym 99% male.

Don't bother cleaning it.

Have no changing facilities (a cupboard at best).

No Cardio machines.

Grumpy steroid user on the welcome counter.

Sadly these gyms are closing down at a rate of knots; not enough meat heads to keep them open I'm afraid.

Spit and sawdust anything (gyms, martial arts places, whatever) cater to a niche...often a niche that doesn't have any money either.

Anyone considering opening a place like this...don't...make your own perfect private gym at home or in a super cheap rented space instead.

A fat person can know technically what excercises should be done, proper form, etc. That said perception, if I'm paying money to workout I want someone in better shape than me training me.

Also, I think form a motivational standpoint and perseverence and all that how much does the trainer have if they have the proper knowledge and can't be troubled to use it.

Personally I wouldn't.

As a personal trainer its pretty annoying to see trainers that look like they've spent more time eating out then working out. Im very self motivated but if i did need the motivation a personal trainer provides there's no way i would take any advice from someone in worse shape then me. From a business standpoint i can see why out of shape trainers might be hired but from a actually getting results standpoint its crazy talk.

The only fat personal trainers a gym should hire should be either super heavyweight powerlifters or oly lifters... Check out this snatch!
