There is a small yellow gecko that has gotten lost and wound up in my Hong Kong hotel bathroom. I have named him "Scrambles" because he scrambles away every time I come in the bathroom. Does anyone know if SE Asian house geckos pose a disease threat?

I heard the AIDS rate in small yellow geckos is really, really high, and dangerous to boot. I wouldn't fuck it if I were you.

I haven't heard about any gecko-transmittable diseases, so I view this as more of a fun occurrence. As long as the beast didn't bother me, I wouldn't have a problem with it because it's not something creepy like a cockroach. You should definitely take a photo of it, you can use it as a fun story later

That's a really cute animal. Keep it around and it will eat any insects that would otherwise annoy you(mosquitos). If it were a cockroach well things would be different and its days would be numbered. Never have unprotected sex with a gecko though. It's highly risky.

Not really. But the transfer rate through anal sex is very high. Check if it is male, and if it is, watch your ass. Some gay geckos may be very persuasive. An anal plug with a lock will protect you from dangers of AIDS in a natural way!

True, but what if it's your "thing"? In many countries geckoing is "in", much like the gerbil craze back in the 80's. Word of caution: clip it's tiny toenails first. Also, choose a larger one... the little ones are squirmy little buggers and you might wake up one night with it chewing on your tonsils.
