It's only February, but I think it's safe to say we have our "Thread of the Year". So many great, insightful posts. While the subject matter is obviously pretty funny, the implications are quite dark. I think it's safe to say we are living in Sodom. This stuff is only the tip of the iceberg.

I hope I don't come off as too much of a herb saying this, but my friend was showing me videos of a foam party that he went to. Everyone was half-dressed, grinding and fucking on the dancefloor covered in foam, while music that jumped from ultra aggressive to what I could only describe as "Ibiza Orgy Club", I felt momentarily ill from the level of hedonism on display.

It seems like we're getting closer and closer as an entire culture to not caring about anything. Everyone wants to work a mindless computer job long Monday-Friday to get money to do drugs and fuck. The guys that don't do that look from the outside in at that world and feel comfortable because they aren't defenerates, so they strive for nothing, obsessed with their video games and watching pornography until the day when their lizard hops off the carousel, ready to jump in his accepting arms. I feel we're getting closer and closer to living in the world Huxley described in "Brave New World".

But as bleak as that sounds, I can't say I really care to do anything other than laugh about it. This kind of stuff can make you go to a dark place if you let it, so you have to fight through it. Find a purpose in life outside of the validation of the rest of the populace. Live life with the explicit purpose of doing what is in your best interest, to make you and you alone happy, whatever that may be.

Most importantly, (sorry if this sounds corny) don't forget to laugh. At all this. It's important to get philosophical and analyze this things, but if you dwell on it too much, you will go somewhere you might not come back from. Life is meaningless, but we're lucky we got a ticket.

Enjoy the decline.

I'm not particularly shocked; not by the depravity of the whores, or the depravity of the sheiks, but the sheer volume of it is certainly notable.

While I'm sure a lot of this goes on here, I doubt it's as thoroughly disgusting as what happens in the Middle East. Even the poor regions in the Middle East are rife with sexual perversion, as seen in this PBS Documentary "The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan".

At first I didn't understand why these guys would drop $20k to fly some Instagram hottie out to Dubai when they could probably buy a just as hot escort there for a fraction of the price. Then I realized $20k for these guys is probably a rounding error...

If I ever become obscenely wealthy, there's no way I'm letting my kids have direct access to that kind of money. Lock it all up in trusts they can't touch till they're 40 and give them a stipend.
